I watched ep.7 raw. That evil spirit is growing stronger and stronger.  I wonder whether he took the soul of his dad into him after killing.

Yup, he is targeting the mayor son now.  Will that spirit change its form after taking control of mayor's son???  But his evil inner voice is quite scary!!!!

The superhero drama scored an average nationwide rating of 7.7 percent and a peak of 8.4 percent, maintaining its record from its previous broadcast.

Anyone here shipping SoMun and Hana? xD

SoMun is soooo obviously have a massive puppy crush on Hana, it's so adorable.

I would love to see the subtle romance between these two characters.

As Hana's background is being revealed; we learned that her family is dead after suicide. I thought she was in coma after this incident and was revived by the Yung people. However Hana in her straight hair went to see her samchong asking for money after the family incident make me think that Hana may have gotten herself into another accident that cause her to be in coma?

Just binge watched 8 episodes in 2 days. I just gave it a try while waiting that another drama to be subbed. But OMG. I don’t even remember the last time I watched an OCN drama.
I am hooked but no episodes this week !!! CANNOT WAIT till next week. This drama is super freaking good, really original... I really loved the dynamics between the 4 leads, they’re a real family :) I am looking forward the time when Mun who will control his super ability and they will catch the soon to be level 4 guy...

Watched ep.8 and all's moving well for our team.  Our munnie is so smart to link the code in his dad's diary to that of electric pole.  Hope no more deaths by the level 4 guy before he is being caught by our team.

Also, can somebody clear my doubt.  The report from national forensics of that lady KIm Jeong NIM was intercepted and taken by that corrupt police officer which means it did not reach our officer lady/Ro takssi??

I would love to ship them, but I think it's impossible.  Coz uri Hana was given the power when she was in a state of coma whereas our munnie is a special person who is assigned this job when he's in a good condition.  I know when he first saw her, he had this puppy luv in his eyes for her.

Also the team when they are assigned this job, their hair will change to popcorn hair.  That's what we saw when so mun gained this power.  I don't understand the reason though why it has to change like that.  Hana was so beautiful with her long straight hair.

Looks like Uncanny Counter might receive a second season. :D Not sure how to feel about it since I don't know how this drama will end but I think aside from the mystery around Mo Tak's and So Mun's connection the premise is kind of made for another season.

“The Uncanny Counter” And Other Shows To Not Air This Weekend

OCN’s “The Uncanny Counter” will be taking a break this weekend.

OCN has announced that their popular drama will not be airing on December 26 and 27 because the channel is airing special broadcasts of movies for the holiday season. Instead, viewers will be able to rewatch episodes 1-8 on December 27 starting at 11 a.m. KST, while special videos for the drama will be uploaded on OCN’s official social media channels around the time of the drama’s usual broadcast.

Jo Byeong Gyu shared a photo of himself in character, holding up a sign that reads, “Let’s meet again on January 2, 2021. Please don’t forget So Moon!”

Other shows will also not be airing this weekend due to the recent spread of COVID-19 in South Korea. The TV Chosun drama “The Goddess of Revenge” has changed its production schedule in order to ensure compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols, and therefore will not air on December 27.

MBC’s “The Manager” will not air on December 26, after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 on December 22. “Bae Chul Soo’s Music Camp 30th Anniversary” will air instead.

MBC’s “Where Is My Home” will also not be airing on December 27, and the Ha Jung Woo film “PMC: The Bunker” will air in its stead. Several MBC programs canceled broadcasts last week due to a number of positive cases at the broadcasting station.

Jo Byeong Gyu Talks About Record-Breaking Success Of “The Uncanny Counter,” The Pressure Of Taking On His 1st Lead, And More

As viewership ratings for OCN’s “The Uncanny Counter” soar to record-breaking heights, Jo Byeong Gyu shared his thoughts on the drama’s success and his starring role!

Earlier this month, the new superhero drama—an adaptation of a hit webtoon of the same name—set a new record for the highest ratings ever achieved in OCN history. The show has since broken its own record: last week, the latest episode of “The Uncanny Counter” climbed to an impressive average rating of 9.3 percent nationwide.

Expressing his gratitude to fans of the drama, Jo Byeong Gyu remarked, “Thank you to to the viewers who made it possible for us to achieve this historic record of the highest ratings in OCN history. We will keep going strong until the end.”

The actor went on to confess that he had initially struggled with the stress of taking on his very first leading role.

“Because of the pressure that came with my first leading role, which was also the titular role, I had a hard time sleeping during filming,” he shared. “But I think that viewers saw that sense of responsibility and effort in a positive light.”

Jo-Byeong-Gyu-2.jpg

As for what viewers can look forward to in future episodes, Jo Byeong Gyu teased, “I think that after overcoming a dangerous situation together with the Counters in a dynamic way, So Moon will show growth by becoming even more mature and strong.”

He added, “I think you’ll be able to enjoy ‘The Uncanny Counter’ even more if you keep an eye on whether So Moon will manage to overcome all the adversity he faces and meet his mother and father.”

Finally, Jo Byeong Gyu touched on the continuing COVID-19 pandemic as he spoke about his hopes for the drama.

“Although this is a time when everyone is facing hardships and exhaustion, I also think it’s a time when we have to join forces and endure together,” he said. “My heart is heavy because there must be people who are struggling with depression.”

The actor went on, “In the hopes of making ‘The Uncanny Counter’ a drama that can refresh and comfort people who are feeling frustrated, I will pour everything I’ve got into the drama without holding back. So please cheer us on.”
