Story:

 

Yoon Song-A (Won Jin-A) works as a marketer for a cosmetic brand. She enjoys her job and does it with vigor. Her dream is to start her own cosmetic brand. Meanwhile, Chae Hyun-Seung (Ro Woon) works with Yoon Song-A as a marketer. He becomes attracted to Yoon Song-A and tries to develop a romantic relationship with her. However, Yoon Song-A rebuffs his advances, because she does not see younger guys as dating partners.

Actor Won Jin Ah and SF9‘s Ro Woon confirmed their appearances in JTBC’s new drama Don’t Put on that Lipstick (literal translation).

 

On May 25, JTBC announced that Won Jin Ah and Ro Woon will star in the upcoming drama, Don’t Put on that Lipstick. Don’t Put on that Lipstick is a romance drama about the excitement and “flirting” between a handsome, sexy, serious, younger man and an older woman, who always states that she never considers younger guys and men.

 

The drama is based on a web novel of the same name, which won the grand prize in the Modern Romane category at the “2017 Romantic Collaboration Contest.”

Won Ji Ah plays the Yoon Song Ah, a cosmetics brand marketer. She is a professional woman whose goal is to create her own cosmetic brand one day. Expectations are high on the new transformation of the actor, who showed solid performances in dramas such as Melting Me Softly, Just Between Lovers, and Life.

Ro Woon, on the other hand, plays the role of Chae Hyun Seung, a cosmetics brand marketer and a straight-forward man. Ro Woon made his debut as a member of SF9 in 2016 and showed off his potential as an actor through School 2017, Where Stars Land, and Extraordinary You. Last year, he won the Best New Actor Award at 2019 MBC Drama Awards, making headlines.

 

The two actors, who have proved their solid acting prowess, will portray the two characters who pleasantly interact in a company as a senior and a junior. The expectations for their chemistry are rising rapidly.

 

Don’t Put on that Lipstick will be directed by director Lee Dong Yoon, best known for The Queen’s Classroom and Feast of the Gods. The drama is scheduled to air in the first half of 2021.

Won Jin Ah and Rowoon confirm to star in JTBC's new drama

 

 

Two actors Won Jin Ah and Rowoon will take on lead roles in the drama "Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick".

"Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick" is a drama about a complicated and fluttering love story between a handsome, charming, decent male junior and a female senior who does not care about younger men. The original is a web novel of the same name that received a lot of love from readers and was awarded in the modern romance genre at the 2017 contest "Romantic Collaboration".

In the work, Won Jin Ah plays Yoon Song Ah - the marketing expert of a cosmetic brand with the dream of creating her own cosmetic brand. Having shown solid acting abilities in films like "Rain or Shine", "Life", and "Melting Me Softly", Won Jin Ah is expected to bring a new image with this role.

Meanwhile, Rowoon plays Chae Hyun Seung - a frank, candid cosmetic marketer. After debuting in 2016 with SF9, Rowoon showed his charisma through the TV series "School 2017", "Where Stars Land", and "Extraordinary You". In 2019, the actor continued to assert his "rising star" status when he took home the Best New Actor Award at the MBC Drama Awards.

Won Jin Ah And SF9’s Rowoon’s Upcoming Drama Confirms Supporting Cast Members

The upcoming drama “Sunbae, Don’t Put On That Lipstick” (literal translation) has confirmed its supporting cast.

“Sunbae, Don’t Put On That Lipstick” is an office romance about a lovely sunbae (someone senior at work or school) who refuses to date younger men, and a bold hoobae (junior) who has everything from good looks to sexiness to a serious aura.

In May, it was announced that Won Jin Ah and SF9’s Rowoon had been cast as the two leads. Won Jin Ah will play Yoon Song Ah, who has worked in the marketing team of a cosmetics brand for three years. Although she looks sweet on the outside, she’s quite tough and a good leader. She is passionate about cosmetics to the point that her eyes sparkle whenever she looks at new makeup products.

Rowoon will play Chae Hyun Seung, who has worked in the marketing team for one year. He has the kind of face that will make people fall in love in a second, and the strong values that will make people trust him with their lives in ten minutes.

The supporting cast includes Lee Hyun Wook, Lee Joo Bin, Lee Kyu Han, Wang Bit Na, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Kang Hye Jin. Lee Hyun Wook will play Lee Jae Shin, the leader of the marketing team who looks perfect on the outside but is a complete mess on the inside. He is a complex, multifaceted character who clawed his way up from the gutter using only his wits.

Lee Joo Bin will play Lee Hyo Joo, a promising young photographer and the granddaughter of the founder of the cosmetics brand. Her wealthy background meant that she was allowed to live however she wanted, but underneath her strong pride is a deep sense of loneliness.

Lee Kyu Han will play Lee Jae Woon, the director and heir of the cosmetics brand. Unlike other chaebols who cause trouble, he is reliable and acknowledged for his skills. Moreover, he is witty and relaxed and will add a comic side to the drama.

Wang Bit Na will play Chae Ji Seung, the elegant and intelligent designer and CEO of a wedding dress shop. Ha Yoon Kyung will play Chae Yeon Seung, a housewife who has been married for eight years. Both Chae Ji Seung and Chae Yeon Seung are the older sisters of Chae Hyun Seung (Rowoon’s character).

Kang Hye Jin, who is better known as the YouTube creator Hey Jini, will play Kim Ga Young, a salesperson at the department store and Yoon Song Ah’s close friend.

“Sunbae, Don’t Put On That Lipstick” is based on a web novel of the same name and will premiere sometime in the first half of 2021.
