His actions are still valid. It was his action that led to changes in the past and only Seojin notices the changes happening around him. The other characters just dissappear because in this new present the case never happened. His wounds dissappear too as his present is reset.

I think it's a cool scene but I also think it should be a different variation unless of course her mom would be killed another way, another day, by another person.  If her mom lived, it would change many many things from that point onward.  It may mean there's no point for him to look for her and wouldn't have led him to that hotel.

I actually don't mind Seojin character in ep 8 because he's consistent. He never believed Aeri from the moment she met him at his office. It wouldn't make sense if he suddenly believes her especially

Awwww @lebeaucouple thanks my friend for remembering me! I know we meet so many in other forums. Glad to see your posts and activity! YEAH it has been a bit of time! LOVE LOVE your ideas and theories

I am so so agree with this. I was thinking the same after watch ep 4 when Aeri met Dokyun. I'm not sure about him being the culprit but so far Aeri has only told Dokyun and Seojin himself about Dabin

Kairos: Episode 6 Open Thread

by Laica

Kairos6-00014.jpg

This is the worst type of show to suffer preemptions, because how are we to survive this suspense with our nerves intact?! But once again, Kairos serves up an intense, satisfying hour of revelations and barely averted disaster. As one of our protagonists desperately tries to find our heroine’s mother before the worst can happen, and our heroine does her best to decode what clues she has with only a blurry outline of the changing future.

EPISODE 6 WEECAP

Kairos6-00002.jpgKairos6-00005.jpg

Seo-jin doesn’t immediately recognize the dead body as Song-ja, Ae-ri’s mother, and he loses Taek-kyu, who’s caught on to being followed. (How many people has this evil assistant killed now?) Taek-kyu lies low, and waits for Do-kyun’s orders. We see now how Do-kyun and Hyun-chae planned this whole thing out: figuring out that Kim Jin-ho’s weak spot is his surviving daughter, and using her as leverage to rope him into their plan.

Seo-jin can’t bring himself to tell Ae-ri it was her mother’s body he saw, but furiously tracks Song-ja’s movements. Ae-ri, not knowing Hyun-chae is watching her, visits Da-bin while she plays (to put a tracker on her teddy?).

@larus Hello my friend! I totally hear you. Yes my thoughts exactly how SJ was very good about helping AR out when he DID NOT know at first who that woman was in fact. So when he found out the connection of her to AR was shocking. But thanks to his help, he prevented her death and changing the future (in his time). So that was most EPIC and satisfying scene. EVen the sympathetic cop to SJ was frustrated in disbelief that SJ would murder a woman (AR mom).

Yes, we figure and can deduce her father must have been horrific for a child to want to burn down the home with her father in it. The fact the tell tale alcoholic containers doesn't make it right. But the trauma and damage inflicted lasts a life time. But agree, if she is capable of doing that, planning to escape and pretend to die and fake a kidnapping is definitely a walk in the park for her.

I agree with you and others, AR should tell SJ about his wife having an affair. This is big NEWS. Honestly not easy to share (ie when SJ realized it was AR mom he found) but changes the whole scenario for him to look /reflect on his family life with with DB and HC.

Oh found this--while we wait for next week a cast interview

i wish this drama get more recognition from others...the storyline was so addicting plus i like how the plot connects with each others and not solely focus on one issues...im glad now AR had someone on her side who believes (even not 100%) and they tries to avoid the tragedy happen..i wish we can see SJ also had someone beside him..for this moment all people around him just back stabing him..i hate the wife the most...she the one who pick the one she want to be her husband and knowing how workholic her husband was she need attention and ‘love’ from her ex..

another things im glad here SJ totally not someone who use bad or fake material only to realize he doing wrong..but he really do his work the best he can do.

so i wonder what gonna happen for next episode

“Kairos” Shares Peek At Tense Encounters Between Shin Sung Rok, Lee Se Young, Ahn Bo Hyun, And Nam Gyu Ri

MBC’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Kairos” has shared a glimpse of the upcoming episode!

The “time-crossing fantasy thriller” is about the interconnected fates of Kim Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok), a man who falls into despair after his daughter is kidnapped, and Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young), a woman who is searching for her missing mother. From Kim Seo Jin’s perspective, Han Ae Ri is living exactly one month in the past – but after the two miraculously communicate from their different times, they set out on a thrilling quest to save their missing loved ones.

Kim Seo Jin’s right-hand man Seo Do Kyun is played by Ahn Bo Hyun, while Nam Gyu Ri stars as Kim Seo Jin’s wife Kang Hyun Chae.

Spoilers

Previously on “Kairos,” Kim Seo Jin followed Lee Tae Kyu (Jo Dong In) and came across the murder scene of Kwak Song Ja (Hwang Jung Min). Kim Seo Jin also started to suspect Seo Do Kyun after realizing he was the one who had recommended Lee Tae Kyu to be hired at the company.

In the new stills, Kim Seo Jin calls Seo Do Kyun into his office. The air is thick with tension, and they stare at each other with stiff shoulders. Kim Seo Jin’s expression is cold and doubtful, whereas Seo Do Kyun’s face is clouded with dark fierceness.

Spoiler

kairos-31.jpg

“Kairos” also unveiled new stills of Lee Se Young and Nam Gyu Ri in character.

Previously in the drama, Kang Hyun Chae hired someone to follow Han Ae Ri and saw Han Ae Ri meeting her daughter Kim Da Bin (Shim Hye Yeon). Han Ae Ri is planning to hide a location tracker in Kim Da Bin’s doll with the help of her friend Im Gun Wook (WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon).

In the new stills, Kang Hyun Chae visits Han Ae Ri at the convenience store she works at. Despite Han Ae Ri’s desperate warning that she will lose her child, Kang Hyun Chae doesn’t look concerned at all. She approaches Han Ae Ri with an unreadable expression, and Han Ae Ri stares at her with appalled eyes. Han Ae Ri knows her husband Kim Seo Jin is doing his hardest to protect Kim Da Bin, so she finds it unfortunate that Kang Hyun Chae isn’t making the same effort as him.

Ep 7

Feelings make people behave irrationally...

Aeri + her mom should've just spilled the tea. Everything would've been solved faster if they just spoke honestly. Aeri should've told her mom her lies will have consequence on human life and death.

After the way hyunchae spoke to her at the convenience, I would've dug my nails into her hair and rat her out to seojin in anger.

Gunwook should've just let aeri taser tf out of taekyu -  d-1, tie him up in a chair, secluded area, make him confess plans, lock him up until d-day; (taser) convince jinho to stop, expose taekyu's intention to kill him, divert plan, then deal with the rest of their sus team.

---

And seojin....bruh. you don't go alone to the crime scene when there's a potential murderer hanging with your daughter. They've already killed jinho - you don't think they'll kill you?

Ep 8

Aeri is so obviously out-of place improperly dressed in informal-ish attire with her huge knapsack, hiding behind huge signs for long durations.

It's a huge annual high-class rich pple event - she should've been asked to show an invitation ticket. I'm sure there's reserved seating for guests - so how did they not kick her? Unless gunwook photoshopped her a ticket lol. + Her girl friend's supposed to be working too, wouldn't the hugggeee earpieces be prohibited/improper paired with her work uniform?
heck, aeri should've just worn a disguise or pretend to be wait staff with her friend.
---
She also had multiple times to spill about dokyun/taekyu/hyunchae/jinho's sus endeavours after her arrest. Yet not once had tried to hint him in the right direction...

Can't believe the police didn't once bother to go after jinho as he was sus turtle walking away.

There were 10 of them on one girl and they didn't bother looking for other accomplices.

I had a lot of questions today for some reason since I'm burned out from life.

I'm not going to get into the timeline travel frame theory today bc my head's starting to hurt thinking too much.

Haha i agree with the trio disguise duting the event. It's not that easy to disguise. Also about Kim Jin Ho. I agree. Aeri insisted that the kidnapper should be Kim Jin Ho. Police should have at least have suspicion on Kim Jin Ho and the gang.

Seo Jin also should have told the police instead go by himself to the villa. Tsk.

Anyway, started to confuse with the things here.

In the newest timeline, Kim Seo Jin doesn't have any relationship with Aeri since there's no abduction. So basically Kim Seo Jin doesn't remember who Aeri is. But that last scene from eps 8? How could he call her during the accident? Aargghh I'm confused.

with the confusing ep8.. i'm hoping that it's because now Ae Rin is living in the "overlapped" timeline as Seo Jin.. that's why Seo Jin in the same timeline as Ae Rin is having some recollection of events although they did not happen (had been prevented).

what worries me more is that Do Kyun suspects Ae Rin and believes the text messages more than Seo Jin.

so, how did Ae Rin manage to get released from the police station? if Seo Jin didn't manage to recall in time to drop the charges, then was it Do Kyun who act on his behalf so that he could question her himself?

Ae Ri got released because her mom came to speak with big cheese at the construction company and the command came down to Seo Jin I guess.  Her mom got cards under her sleeves.  If Ae Ri ends up in jail, it's not much difference than the first time Seo Jin met her.

I do like to understand how the fragments of memories SJ has on the other time line suddenly appear on this time line.  Is that an attempt to explain deja vu just because or is there some kind of logic in the work here?

I've also been wondering why September Seo Jin hasn't gone to look for September Ae Ri after the changes last time.  The last he came was when she got murdered.  So I've been curious about September Ae Ri since she escaped death the 2nd time.  Then last ep, Sept SJ evaporated all together with the time line.  Ae Ri couldn't get in touch with him.

Ae Ri seems to have harbored feelings for Seo Jin.  The way she looked at him at the entrance like she was glad he was ok and there was something more.  Then at the end when she was about to kick him to the curb then when he called out to her, she got all soft so quickly.  It was in the voice.

i don't actually want to see a romance line here between Ae Ri and Seo Jin; i rather interpret it as a comrades in action where one is trying to save her mom and another is trying to save his daughter.. in a situation where no one will believe and they only have each other to rely on to save their love ones. i still prefer Ae Ri with Gun Wook.

The ending of ep 8 is future Seojin. He's in October. I guess all his September memories are back as the days pass. Something happened in the month which has yet to be shown. Something also happened to future Aeri in September which has yet to be shown. Seojin9 can't use the tracker registered under Aeri's name for unknown reasons, she had to register the tracker under Geunwook's name so Seojin9 can use it to track Dabin.

There's a chunk of events still missing. Aeri's last conversation with Seojin9 was before he tracked Dabin. It's natural that she feels worried for him when he doesn't pick up for days...and the next time he calls her...she lashes out but he mutters 'help me. Now it's October'. He could possibly tried to contact her too but can't get through because she's in custody. I don't really know what to predict with this drama and I actually like it. Hahaha.

Why was Aeri caught at the scene and not Kim Jin Ho? This is how I saw the events leading to her capture:

1) Aeri can't contact Seojin9. She doesn't know what happened and decides to stop the kidnapping herself. First she pastes the poster on Seojin's door.

2) Aeri and gang kept an eye on Dabin and Kim Jin Ho during the event. They didn't keep tabs on DG and Lee Taek Gyu, because up to this point, nothing connected both DG and LTG to Dabin's kidnapping. DG and LTG were connected to Aeri's murder and her mum's dissappearance only.

3) Seojin scolded Dabin as per ep 1. But this time, there's an additional scene: DoGyun consoled Dabin and tells her he'll show her a huge teddy bear. I deduce this is why Dabin went down during the event. (DG and HC even made sure to introduce Dabin to JinHo, so it would be easy for her to follow him).

4) Aeri sees Dabin going out and tries to follow, nearly get caught by DoGyun but managed to run away

5) Aeri was caught by standby cops. The cops were planted by Seojin at the event. He planned to capture Aeri based on all evidence he has: she kept meeting him and told him about a future kidnapping and the poster was the last straw for him. He probably just allowed her to enter the venue so he can catch her red-handed.

Thinking about it...the kidnapping in ep 8 was not only stopped by Aeri but it was also stopped by Seojin. The kidnapping didn't occur because Seojin planted cops at the venue and he had a suspicious target which is Aeri. That's why we saw him looking down at Aeri instead of looking super worried like in ep 1 because in this new event...he was aware a kidnapping could happen and was prepared for it, unfortunately his logical mind paints Aeri as suspicious and he see's her as a threat. Hyunchae was mad at him for hiding cops at the event without her knowledge, her original nefarious plans might be revealed if not for Aeri and Seojin that day.

I want Seojin9 back. The Seojin that talked to Aeri~~~ huhuhu. @Shinobui lowkey support Aeri8-Seojin9, there's something in their conversations and how they comfort each other via calls and messages. I hope they really meet in the future.
