MBC’s upcoming drama “Kairos” (literal title) has released stills of Ahn Bo Hyun!

“Kairos” will be a “time-crossing fantasy thriller” that tells the story of Kim Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok), a man who falls into despair after his daughter is kidnapped, and Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young), a woman searching for her missing mother who lives one month in the past from the time Kim Seo Jin is living in.

Ahn Bo Hyun will play the role of Seo Do Kyun, Kim Seo Jin’s right-hand man at Yoojoong Construction. Seo Do Kyun holds Kim Seo Jin in high regard due to his incredibly detailed approach to work and the way he pushes forward towards his desired results.

The newly released stills feature Seo Do Kyun looking smart in his business suit, with his intense gaze hinting that he would be difficult to approach. Another picture of him with glasses suggests he is always on the job and ready to deliver results. On the other hand, in just a plain white shirt Seo Do Kyun is set to steal everyone’s hearts with his charming smile and warm aura.

Shin Sung-rok, Lee Se-young, and Ahn Bo-hyun get into character for MBC’s Kairos

New stills have been released for MBC’s upcoming time-travelling thriller Kairos, featuring Shin Sung-rok (Vagabond), Lee Se-young (Memorist), and Ahn Bo-hyun (Itaewon Class).

Shin Sung-rok stars in the drama as Kim Seo-jin, a man who was enjoying success in his career and living a happy life until the day his young daughter is kidnapped and his life falls apart. Desperate to save her, he somehow teams up with Lee Se-young who plays the role of Han Ae-ri.

Lee has been spending most of her young adult life working to make money and pay for her mother’s hospital bills. But things take a turn for the worse when her mother suddenly disappears. Together, the two embark on a journey that takes them across time and space in order to save and protect the people they love.

Ahn Bo-hyun takes on the character Seo Do-kyun, who is Shin’s right hand man at work. He looks up to Shin like a mentor and is the first to discover something wrong in Shin’s most recent project. But rather than putting out the fire, Ahn starts to fan the flames and the story takes an unexpected turn.

Written by Lee Soo-hyun and directed by PD Park Seung-woo, Kairos is currently set to premiere on October 26 and will be airing Mondays and Tuesdays on MBC.

Upcoming MBC drama “Kairos” (literal title) has revealed new stills of Nam Gyu Ri.

“Kairos” will be a “time-crossing fantasy thriller” that tells the story of Kim Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok), a man who falls into despair after his daughter is kidnapped, and Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young), a woman searching for her missing mother who lives one month in the past from the time Kim Seo Jin is living in.

In the drama, Nam Gyu Ri plays violinist Kang Hyun Chae and Kim Seo Jin’s wife. The new stills show the character in contrasting moods, as she is smiling and at ease in one photo, and tense and anxious in another. Kang Hyun Chae, whose dreams of having a perfect family are shattered when her daughter is kidnapped, is described as a character who adds tension to the development of the drama.

Yes, only SBS dramas are promoting late these days. I think MBC is doing a good job promoting early.

 

I remember when a MBC drama Two Weeks from 2013, started to promote two weeks before the airing time. It was unbelievable. To this day I wonder if it was intentional.

Upcoming MBC drama “Kairos” (literal title) has revealed new stills of WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon.

“Kairos” will be a “time-crossing fantasy thriller” that tells the story of Kim Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok), a man who falls into despair after his daughter is kidnapped, and Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young), a woman searching for her missing mother who lives one month in the past from the time Kim Seo Jin is living in.

In the drama, Kang Seung Yoon will be playing Im Geon Wook, a long time friend of Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young) who is always there for her no matter what. Though the two bicker often, Im Geon Wook always worries for Han Ae Ri and takes care of her.

In the new stills, we see a wide range of Im Geon Wook’s emotions, from joy to playful curiosity to seriousness, and in one photo, Geon Wook has cuts and bruises on his face, raising viewers’ curiosity as to what led to the injuries.

Rather than going back in time to change the future, “Kairos” will tell two different stories, each in their different time periods. Existing with the time difference of one month, Kim Seo Jin and Han Ae Ri will only be connected for one minute, a brief period of time in which intense situations will occur.

In addition to a fast-paced and relatable story, the drama also boasts a talented cast including Shin Sung Rok, Lee Se Young, Ahn Bo Hyun, Nam Gyu Ri, and WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon. MBC has released the first teaser for the upcoming drama “Kairos” (literal title).

“Kairos” will be a “time-crossing fantasy thriller” that tells the story of Kim Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok), a man who falls into despair after his daughter is kidnapped, and Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young), a woman who lives one month in the past from the time Kim Seo Jin is living in and is searching for her missing mother.

The teaser begins with Kim Seo Jin narrating, “You can’t undo what’s already been done. I always thought that way,” as short clips of Kim Seo Jin’s and Han Ae Ri’s shocked expressions flash across the screen. A cell phone vibrates on a desk as the caption in between the scenes reads, “An opportunity or a special time.”

Han Ae Ri then says, “I saw it. There was another strange man,” while Kim Seo Jin pleads, “I can undo it.” Over a scene in which Han Ae Ri edits a flyer for a missing child, she also comments that although it’s currently August, the date that appears is September.

Next, a caption that reads, “The one minute that will change everything,” intersects a scene of Han Ae Ri walking down the hallway in a prisoner’s uniform. The teaser comes to an end as Kim Seo Jin says in desperation, “Han Ae Ri, you will save my life, and I will save yours.”

MBC’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Kairos” (literal title) shared a new glimpse of Shin Sung Rok in character!

“Kairos” will be a “time-crossing fantasy thriller” that tells the story of Kim Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok), a man who falls into despair after his daughter is kidnapped, and Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young), a woman who lives one month in the past from the time Kim Seo Jin is living in and is searching for her missing mother.

Shin Sung Rok’s character Kim Seo Jin is the youngest director of Yoojoong Construction. The stills give a hint about his assiduous character, and he gives off a cold aura that makes it seem as if he cares about nothing else but work. He is dressed in sleek black pants and a crisp white shirt with a matching black tie. His dark hair is gelled back, and his eyes are sharp with concentration.

Shin Sung-rok, Lee Se-young team up in time thriller Kairos teaser

The first teaser for time-crossing thriller drama Kairos, starring Lee Se-young (Memorist) and Shin Sung-rok (Vagabond), has been revealed. In this drama, Lee Se-young and Shin Sung-rok fight against all odds and cross time in order to find their loved ones.

Shin Sung-rok’s character is an extremely successful, ambitious man whose life seems perfect until his daughter is kidnapped. Whereas, Lee Se-young’s character is living paycheck to paycheck, barely enduring the drudgery, when her mother goes missing.

Somehow, these two are able to communicate and team up despite the fact that they live in two different times. Shin Sung-rok lives one month in the future, and Lee Se-young lives one month in the past.

In the short teaser clip, a woman stares out from a bridge as if to commit suicide as Shin Sung-rok narrates: “One cannot change what has already happened. I always thought that.” Short cuts of Shin Sung-rok and Lee Se-young are shown, and police dogs search for someone in a tall grassy area. The copy reads: “An opportunity through a special time.”

A cell phone rings, and it’s shown that Shin Sung-rok has contacted Lee Se-young. She tells him, “I saw it,” as a scene shows her chasing someone down. He desperately tries to convince her, “We can change it.” She goes on to tell him, “There was another strange man.” The hints of time-traveling is revealed when Lee Se-young says, “It’s August right now, but it said it was September.”

Lee Se-young is escorted through prison by two guards on each side, as Shin Sung-rok tells her, “You will save my life, and I will save you.” The copy reads, “One minute will change everything,” and a few more shots of Shin Sung-rok and Lee Se-young are shown before the teaser closes.

MBC Wednesday-Tuesday drama Kairos, directed by Park Seung-woo and written by Lee Soo-hyun, will begin airing on October 26.

From Kim Seo Jin’s perspective, Han Ae Ri is living exactly one month in the past—but after the two miraculously communicate from their different times, they set out on a thrilling quest to save their missing loved ones.

Lee Se Young plays Han Ae Ri, a hard-working and devoted daughter who balances three jobs and her studies in order to pay for her mother’s surgery. Han Ae Ri has an optimistic and warm personality, and she doesn’t hesitate to help others.

 

In the interview, the actress shared her reason for starring in the drama. She said, “I became very interested in ‘Kairos’ since it’s a drama that has the topic of ‘time-crossing,’ which I have yet to experience, and the script was captivating. I’m working hard to make the element of ‘time-crossing’ seem more realistic in Han Ae Ri’s everyday life.”

When asked to pick three key words to describe her character, Lee Se Young replied, “I want to pick enthusiasm, bravery, and perseverance as the three key words. Han Ae Ri is someone who works enthusiastically at everything she does, so she wouldn’t be careless with anything.” She continued, “In a situation where anyone would want to give up, she’s a figure who endures with perseverance to protect the things precious to her.”
