That was beautiful, @Sky8lue

As for the rewatch, I'm a bit busy with university so I might not post as much, but I'll make sure to add some points here and there for each episode.

Ready when you all are!

Edit: Wow, this is another beautiful fanfiction! https://archiveofourown.org/works/27487417/chapters/67210171

Happy that we're getting more fanfictions here! Thank you for sharing your works as well, @Sneha, and everyone I might have missed!

This is an interesting story as well! I love how they just expounded on the existing scenes and focused on Joon Young's expressions/thoughts. Will definitely pay more attention to Joon Young when I rewatch; I've always been interested in how Joon Young regarded Song Ah as someone special, even if he didn't love her then! He was always drawn to Song Ah.

Hi all! Sooorry, life got in the way of watching DYLB! Count me in, will surely catch up :) Are we on for episode 1 & 2 already?

Thank you all for the lovely posts too.

Ps. @Doan Mai  I thought Dimple Couple were gonna make out in the room again! With sudden emotional shift, Joon Young looks at Song Ah with a sizzling hot desire which she picks up very quickly, must be the lingering memory of the piano kiss. One of my fave couple moments.

Curtain Call 67: Attention, members! Do you like brahms? Producer Cho Young-min's surprise interview

"The story of a rocking dream and love of a group of classical music students on the 29th border."

Do you like Brahms, a drama that has been well-received for its detailed screenplay by Ryu Bo-ri, who worked in the classical industry, and for the delicate production of Cho Young-min?' recently ended in popularity.

Let's invite producer Cho Young-min, the main character of the delicate production, to talk about the behind-the-scenes story of the drama shooting and how he feels about ending the show.

Part 2 will be released next week with even more interesting content, including ad-libs from the shoot.

A collection of classical songs from "Do You Like Brahms?" will be released soon, and we'll listen to the main songs together with Lee Sang-min, director of Warner Classic.

Behind-the-scenes stories of "Do You Like Brahms," Jun-young's line in the drama is a true story of ○○○?

Do you like the SBS music drama 'Brams'?' is still popular after the end of the show. Fans are re-watching and proving themselves to be a fan. A related classical album is also scheduled to be released soon. Producer Cho Young-min, who directed the drama, visited SBS podcast "Curtain Call" and gave a review of the drama's production. Lee Sang-min, who is in charge of classical music at Warner Music Korea, also joined us.

Producer Cho Young-min said the actors' efforts were enormous because it was a music drama and they had to act as if they were actually playing. "Do you like Brahms?" Producer Cho Young-min said, "Kim Min-jae can play the piano a little, and Park Eun-bin learned it briefly when he was young. There was always a coordinator on the scene to help with acting. The quality of the first scene and the later scene is very different." Lee Sang-min, director of Warner Music Korea, said, "Music dramas have a lot of difficulties in expressing the parts they play in a realistic way. If the performance scene is awkward, it breaks the focus."

In the first episode of the drama, there is a scene where the heroine Song-ah plays Jun-young through a small window next to the stage. These small windows are only in the Seoul Arts Center. The production team paid most attention to the scene of the first concert set up as the Seoul Arts Center.

Cho Young-min PD said, "The small window to the audience is only at the Seoul Arts Center. But they couldn't film it at the Seoul Arts Center, so they made a set of doors in different places. The most expensive and longest shot is the scene of the first performance. It took about three days. It was hard to record because it was a concerto, so I bought a song. In fact, it was played by Lim Dong-hyuk."

The lines and actions in the play were realistic to classical majors. Although Ryu Bo-ri majored in violin, she interviewed musicians in advance and reflected their anecdotes. In particular, there is a scene in which Jun-young reveals to Song-ah how he felt at a competition when he was young, which is based on an interview with violinist Yang In-mo. It's an experience that people who haven't won the top prize don't know.

"Do you know the first thing that comes to mind when you think of me in a competition? Silence. Silence like the past. I got an award and had a party and came back to my hotel late at night. Obviously, until that morning, I could hear the piano playing in the room, but I can't forget the night's silence, which was so intense that I couldn't be forgotten."

Director Lee Sang-min says he plans to release a classic album on the 16th, thanks to the popularity of the drama.

Separately, we are also preparing a director's version of Blu-ray.

@rafeusjanela @cherrhys88 @annamchoi Thanks so much for your support. It's nice to know that DYLB has so many fanfic writers keeping the nation well-fed!

@Sneha I'm just an amateur when it comes to writing, but I'm grateful to hear that you enjoyed reading my short piece. I'm excited to see where you'll take your story in future chapters. Previews/teasers are always welcome! :)

@Jillia Looking forward to hearing your refreshed thoughts about episodes 1-2 after your rewatch.

I will be watching this weekend as well.

I guess we should have a format in the re-watch.

      1. Did you notice something new?

      2.  What is your favorite moments now?

      3.  Reactions now.

I guess we can come up with something to a schedule when to watch so we can all be on the same page.

They completed filming the Blu-ray commentary yesterday! DYLB production team is truly world-class for efficiency and dedication.

Ryu Bori started a temporary IG account yesterday to express her "thank you" and to slowly bid goodbye. Apparently she wrote an epilogue (which will be released in script-reading form, not filmed) in the blu-ray. She also mentioned the IG account will only be open for a few days so check it out while it's available. It's now 17 posts and counting.

Hello! Knowing what we know now, It is exciting and overwhelming to begin DYLB, had to stop mid-way in Episode 1. Sharing a few running thoughts:

- Joon Young says "I’m sorry" a lot while Song Ah's name sounds like "I'm sorry", so he's saying her name a lot more than we realize :)

- Sounds: timing, meter, music, foot steps (like beats), 3x, 4x, silence
- Art - chiaroscuro (contrast of light and dark)
- Levels/ranks and annoying elders

- Traumerie/dream
- That is not what I wanted to hear - this thought was in early episodes that I think this might tie up with dialog in later episodes (which I haven't looked into yet

Episode 1 (so far)

1) How Song Ah's violin neck scar has a close up early in the episode (I didn't know what I was looking at before)

2) Joon Young returns home to SK

- Literally arrived same day as concert performance (like in most of his foreign gigs)

- How he missed his Mom much, disappointed that his Mom would not stay for the reception and how sadly he follows her with his gaze as she leaves

- How his new place seemed like a typical hotel room with a welcome gift basket

3) Chae Young In: No one will help you, if you don’t speak up (32:15)

How production elements help with characters speak up :)

4) Yoon’s strings in Song Ah's violin case (2:58)

5) Establishing running themes

Happy birthday song (or tune) is featured in the very first scene

Joon Young & umbrella

Song Ah & brown hanky (11:45)

5) More in love with the 30-second scene than ever, knowing now that is was a Eunjae adlib. No wonder director-nim chose that as a most memorable scene.
