How To Stop Hunger?

I don't know. I get very hungry sometimes, not sure why so I don't know how to fix it really. If I could curb my hunger, then I'd be a lot better. I have no clue. I'm kind of afraid of taking diet pills o_O.

I'll wake up 5 AM and make 1 serving of oatmeal (1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1 cup of water). I'll start getting hungry around 9-10 AM and eat again. I'll get hungry around 2-3 PM and eat. Then I'll work out for about 1-2 hours and then get hungry after and eat.

I'm pretty sure if I cut out those 2 meals (9-10 AM hunger & after the workout). I'd lose weight a bit more easily.

To be entirely honest, your diet sounds way too strict.

I eat like crazy and I know I gain weight if I don't watch what I do, but seriously, hunger will be there all the time if that's how much you're eating a day.

Best advice is for you to eat when you're hungry and work out when you're not busy. I wear high heels around everywhere which has helped me to tone my calves and thighs, on top of that I run 3-4km whenever I can, non-stop.

On top of all this, I eat whatver I want, whenever I want. And trust me, I do gain weight rapidly if I fail to maintain my exercise regime and whatnot.

But seriously - eat properly girl!

well, if i get hungry.. i'd eat a snack.

i'm a half raw foodist.. so i munch on veggies & fruits.

plus, drinking lots of water gets me full.

when i workout.. i'd drink half a cup before a workout.. 1-2 cups during a workout, and 1 cup right after. hah. XD so i don't really get hungry after a workout.. if i am, i'd eat an apple.

i think you should worry about your portions/what you eat.

eating every three hour is healthy.. just control your portions and such.

like they say, you are what you eat. :]

uhm;;;;;;;;;; didn`t they say korean pinenuts make you fuller for longer??

well i do what gackt does ^^ i eat slower and take time to chew everything properly so i stay fuller for longer .... i don`t eat anything after 8:30PM so i can digest it all

geez idk if that makes sense ........

if i feel hungry i drink warm water and walk around for 10 minutes to see if i was really hungry, and not thirsty

Or.. apples, nuts, and carrots are some of the best hunger craving snacks.. i watched it on operah lol

--basically fiber stops hunger .. becuz.. i think it takes longer to pass through yoru system or something..so it keeps you full longer.

if i get hungry, i'll eat something with a lot of fiber =]

GREEN TEA (i like it)

and also try to do things to take your mind off of stuff. most things are all just in your mind. if you think you are hungry you are hungry, but if you think you arent hungry or arent thinking about hunger, you wont be hungry.

i'm the same as you except i eat at 6:40 in the morning and i dont work out as much >___> eating small meals and 4 or 5 meals a day seems healthy to me. oatmeal in the morning is good and better than rice ( i eat rice because that's what my mom makes in the morning ). keeping yourself busy can help you forget about hunger longer and eat a meal less so maybe you can try going out or be more active in school activities? or just continuing with your homework right when you get home?

you body is probably hungry because you arent consuming enough calories or enough food. eating 2 meals a day when your body is already needing fuel when you are eating 4 meals isnt a good idea.

The amount of food you eat really doesn't matter.

You're hungry because your body needs nutrients.

It's much better to have 4-5 smalls meals throughout the day than have 3 huge meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Also, try eating things rich in complex carbs and a variety of protein filled foods. These will makes you feel full as well as provide you with nutrition.

to be honest i think the number of times you eat through a day is perfectly normal and healthy. eating oatmeal everyday is a healthy habit too. so is exercising daily and not resorting to pills.

how much are you eating at each meal? could you be consuming too much especially after workouts? i know when i did track in hs right after school i'd help myself to 2-3 bowls of pasta and basically stuff myself silly.

don't cut out your meals during the day.

you can end up losing a lot of weight and gaining

it all back. or not reaching your goals.

instead of cutting out meals.

eat something like.

like fruit. or a lot of water.

or maybe a salad?

Posted

Eat things with lots of nutrients and flavour, and drink fluids often.

The nutrients and flavour will trick your mind into thinking that your stomach is full, as will the fluids. Try to enjoy what you eat.

to be honest, the way you eat is how i eat.

i eat a nutrigrain bar or bread or cereal in the morning

which is at like 6AM.

Then i go to school and eat lunch at like 10

and then when i come home, i eat a snack

then i eat dinner 3 hrs later.

the way you eat is fine.

I was born really skinny. that's just the way I am. So its really lucky for me because i can eat as much as i'd like without gaining as much as a single pound.

I'm not sure why you sound worried that you're getting hungry when there seems to be 4~5 hours avgerage between your meals. In fact, I don't think you eat enough, esp breakfast, which may be why you're hungry.

Eating right, not merely eating less, can actually help you lose weight.

Try eating foods that will keep you full and release energy slowly (low GI). Try eating lean meat and pultry, foods that are high in fibre and lots of fruit and vegies.
