Plot

 

That Guy Is That Guy is about a woman who chooses to remain single after getting hurt from past relationships and a man who wants to change his relationship with this woman through love. The story will combine the theme of a past life with realistic topics such as marriage and remaining single.

Character descriptions

 

Seo Hyun Joo  (Hwang Jung Eum) is the team manager of a webtoon. She’s meticulous when it comes to her job, and the writers who work with her have achieved No. 1 thanks to her hard work. As much as people want to avoid her because of her attention to detail, they inevitably seek her out for her work. Despite her charms, she’s had bad luck in the romance department and has chosen to remain single.

 

Hwang Ji Woo (Yoon Hyun Min) is the CEO of a pharmaceutical company. Because he doesn’t smile and appears aloof, he’s been described as someone that’s been hard to read since he was young. Hwang Ji Woo is a character with a special secret and the ability to travel to his past life.

 

 

Park Do-Gyeom (Seo Ji Hoon) is a popular webcomic writer. He is a sociable person. He and Seo Hyun-Joo grew up like siblings, but he has held a crush on Seo Hyun-Joo for a long time.

Yoon Hyun Min and Hwang Jung Eum may be starring in a new drama together!

On February 19, it was reported that Yoon Hyun Min and Hwang Jung Eum were cast as the leads of KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “That Guy Is That Guy” (literal title).

In response to the reports, her agency CJes Entertainment said, “Hwang Jung Eum is positively considering her appearance in ‘That Guy is That Guy.'” Yoon Hyun Min’s agency DAIN Entertainment also stated, “We’re only at the stage of reviewing the offer for him to take the role. Nothing has been confirmed.”

Following reports that Hwang Jung Eum and Yoon Hyun Min were in talks to participate in a new romantic comedy, we are happy to share that they both have been confirmed for the roles!

On March 10, the production crew behind KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “That Guy is That Guy” (literal title) stated that Hwang Jung Eum and Yoon Hyun Min, as well as Seo Ji Hoon, were officially cast in the new drama. “These three actors will show a never-before seen type of romantic comedy in ‘That Guy is That Guy.'”

This romantic comedy is about a woman who chooses to remain single and unmarried after multiple heartbreaks, and a man who wants to change his relationship with this woman through love. The story will combine the theme of a past life with realistic topics such as marriage and remaining single.

Though an official release date has not yet been confirmed, it is currently scheduled for a release day in the latter half of this year.

Hwang Jung-eum (Handsome Guy and Jung-eum), Yoon Hyun-min (My Holo Love), Seo Ji-hoon (Welcome) have been confirmed to star in an upcoming KBS drama called That Guy is The Guy. Hwang plays a strong proponent of the single life, who has chosen to plan her life excluding marriage from her future. One day, she receives the love confessions of two men with completely different charms.

This drama seeks to explore the meaning of marriage and family in the context of the 21st century, as more and more young people choose to be single.

Hwang’s character is the confident and capable project manager of a successful webtoon company. Yoon Hyun-min plays the shrewd CEO of a pharmaceutical company. He’s chic and cool, but there’s also a loneliness within him.

I'm ready to watch it and don't mind if Seo Jihoon is the second male lead!! Just hope he is not written as an annoying second male lead though!!
