Kim Ha Neul, Yoon Sang Hyun, and Lee Do Hyun are confirmed to star in the upcoming JTBC drama “18 Again” (literal title).

Based on the American film “17 Again,” “18 Again” is the story of a husband who returns to his prime days, which was 18 years ago just before his divorce. The drama will be director Ha Byung Hoon’s first drama since KBS 2TV’s “Go Back Couple.”

Kim Ha Neul takes the role of Jung Da Jung, an exemplary working mom. Jung Da Jung is the mother of 18-year-old twin siblings and a rookie announcer who is both professional and warm-hearted. Kim Ha Neul earned praise for her acting skills in dramas such as “The Wind Blows” and “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” so viewers are looking forward to her return to acting.

Yoon Sang Hyun will be playing the 37-year-old Hong Dae Young while Lee Do Hyun will be playing the 18-year-old Hong Dae Young. Hong Dae Young was a basketball genius who swept all the basketball tournaments in high school, but he is only an ordinary man now. However, Hong Dae Young will return to his 18-year-old self and change his name to Go Woo Young for his second shot at life.

Although both Yoon Sang Hyun and Lee Do Hyun are acting as the same character, they will portray his two different sides. The Hong Dae Young that Yoon Sang Hyun will be playing is dismissed from his job, divorced by his wife, and ignored by his children. Yoon Sang Hyun is an actor who has captivated viewers with his relatable and friendly charms, so the attention as to what kind of acting Yoon Sang Hyun will show in “18 Again” is growing.

On the other hand, Lee Do Hyun will act as the Hong Dae Young who has returned to his prime days and changed his name to Go Woo Young. He will make hearts flutter with his mature charms that contrast with his teenage appearance. Lee Do Hyun rose to popularity with his role in “Hotel Del Luna,” and expectations are high on how he will pull off his new character.

JTBC’s upcoming drama “18 Again” released an exciting new teaser!

Based on the American film “17 Again,” JTBC’s “18 Again” is about a husband on the verge of divorce who suddenly finds himself back in the prime of his life, which was 18 years ago. The drama will be director Ha Byung Hoon’s first drama since KBS 2TV’s “Go Back Couple.”

Kim Ha Neul plays Jung Da Jung, a working mom who joins the workforce later in life after her children have grown up. Yoon Sang Hyun plays her husband, the 37-year-old Hong Dae Young, while Lee Do Hyun plays the same character after he mysteriously transforms back to his 18-year-old body. In order to hide his true identity, he goes by the name Go Woo Young instead.

The new teaser begins with Hong Dae Young (Yoon Sang Hyun) pleading, “It was all my fault. I’m sorry.” Jung Da Jung responds, “I’m really tired of this. Let’s get a divorce.” Unable to give up, Hong Dae Young says, “I’ll really treat you well.”

However, before Jung Da Jung can reply, 37-year-old Hong Dae Young is suddenly replaced by his 18-year-old self (Lee Do Hyun). Unaware of the change, he asks, “Please give me just one more chance.” Despite Jung Da Jung’s rejection, he continues, “I love you, Da Jung.”

When Jung Da Jung finally looks up, she’s shocked to see Hong Dae Young transformed into a young student, causing people at the restaurant to also turn heads. Without a care for the people around them, Hong Dae Young confesses, “Da Jung, you are my first and last love. I love you.” Although Jung Da Jung tries to explain the situation, the people around them cheer and clap in awe.

In the background, Jung Da Jung’s voice over shares, “The story of my husband who returned to his golden days from 18 years ago.”
