On April 17, Song Seung Heon revealed on Instagram that Krystal had sent a coffee-and-churros truck to the set of his upcoming MBC drama “Shall We Eat Dinner Together?” (literal title).

The actor posted a photo of himself posing proudly in front of the truck, which is adorned with a banner of Song Seung Heon and director Go Jae Hyun—both of whom worked with Krystal on the 2018 OCN drama “The Player.”

Stills from MBC’s Will You Have Dinner With Me have been released, showing a luxurious supper moment between the leads. Song Seung-heon (The Great Show) and Seo Ji-hye (Crash Landing on You) star in this healing romance about overcoming the scars of breakup and the increasingly common solo lifestyle, where people choose to live and be alone.

Song Seung-heon’s character is a famous food psychologist who treats people’s emotional and mental illnesses through meals. Seo Ji-hye plays the PD of a web-based strange-content channel called 2N Box. They both share a painful trauma from their respective first loves. After a couple ups-and-downs, they begin to meet as dinner mates, instead of romantic partners, keeping a respectful distance through their shared love of food.

Lee Ji Hoon plays Jung Jae Hyuk, a freelance medical journalist who was also Woo Do Hee’s significant other in college. Son Naeun takes on the role of Jin No Eul, a popular social media star and fitness trainer who is also Kim Hae Kyung’s ex-girlfriend.

The teaser starts off with Woo Do Hee demanding her cheating ex-boyfriend for an explanation, and he says, “Conclusively, I don’t want to eat with you anymore.” Devastated and heartbroken, she takes a trip to Jeju Island. Woo Do Hee (Seo Ji Hye) can be heard describing psychologist Kim Hae Kyung (Song Seung Heon) as she says, “I’m a little disappointed. A REFRESHING NARRATIVE

The drama revolves around a very intriguing concept. It unfolds the story of a man and a woman who get mistaken as a couple at a restaurant. They end up having dinner together which leads to a series of events leading them to having dinner together on a weekly basis. Through that, they get to know more about each other, one meal after another.

 

Recently a video for the script reading session as well as an official introduction of cast members was released that unveiled certain characteristics of the lead characters from the drama.

The first teaser gave an insight into the look of the characters. Kim Hae Kyung is quite amusing to witness as a psychiatrist. His depiction as told by Woo Do Hee is of someone who is somewhat goofy, carefree and spontaneous. He surely lights up the screen each time he appears!

The teaser ends abruptly with Kim Hae Kyung asking Woo Do Hee “Shall we eat dinner together?” which leaves viewers starving for answers.

 

Similarly, the second teaser follows suit of the first, but this time, Woo Do Hee’s character is more prominent in the narrative within the clip. It shows Do Hee’s crazy world, especially within her work place albeit in a charming way. Jung Jae Hyuk and Jin No Eul appear yet again in the second teaser clip.
