tvN’s upcoming drama “Record of Youth” (literal title) has released a new behind-the-scenes look at the drama’s first script reading!

 

“Record of Youth” is a drama about young people in the modeling industry. It will present a story about the youth of this generation who live in a world in which the “spoon” you’re born with determines your life path, and dreams are a luxury not everyone can afford. Nonetheless, their youthful passion leads them to push forward with their dreams.

 

Park Bo Gum will be playing the character Sa Hye Joon, a realistic young man whose dream is to become a model and an actor. He has a bright and warm personality but also knows how to look at the world objectively.

 

Park So Dam will be playing the character Ahn Jung Ha whose dream is to become a makeup artist. She is a sensible, hardworking character who is good at judging her own abilities. She is not easily shaken by what happens around her and walks steadily on her own path. Her goal is to abandon her inner insecurities and find stability with her own two feet.

 

Byun Woo Seok will be playing the character Won Hae Hyo, a model and actor who is Sa Hye Joon’s best friend. He is someone who wants to be acknowledged for his hard work rather than what he was born with. He is a kind gentleman, but he also has a fiercely competitive streak.

 

In the new behind-the-scenes video of the drama’s script reading, the actors ease the atmosphere with their outgoing energy and refreshing laughter. Park Bo Gum greets the actors one by one, while Byun Woo Seok shares friendly conversations with the rest of the cast members.

 

During introductions, Park Bo Gum says, “I wish this will become a memorable drama that will be beautifully filmed. I will do my best,” and

 

Park So Dam comments, “I hope we can be safe and well until the end of the drama.”

 

Byun Woo Seok also added, “I hope we can have fun filming without getting hurt.”

 

 

The video also shows a glimpse of the supporting cast hard at work. Veteran actresses Ha Hee Ra and Shin Ae Ra will be playing Sa Hye Joon’s and Won Hae Hyo’s mothers, respectively. 

 

Although their sons are best friends who are walking towards the same goal, the two mothers hold very different values. Han Jin Hee, who will play Sa Hye Joon’s grandfather, shows warm grandfather-grandson chemistry with Park Bo Gum. Park Soo Young will play Sa Hye Joon’s father, while Seo Sang Won will play Won Hae Hyo’s father.

 

 

 

The first script reading wrapped up successfully, and the actors commented about their anticipation for the drama.

 

Park Bo Gum commented, “I think this is a precious moment that won’t return in my youth as well,” and

 

Byun Woo Seok shared, “It was so fun acting with the other actors.”

 

Park So Dam asked the viewers to patiently wait for the premiere, and

 

Park Bo Gum also expressed his hope that viewers will love the drama and wished for everyone to be happy.

 

The production team shared, “It was a moment when we couldn’t take our eyes off the actors who made the characters come to life. The synergy of the detailed actors who reviewed the delicate script was very powerful. The drama is a realistic portrayal of young people who strive to achieve their dreams and love during brilliant youth. We will present fresh laughter and a warm story that everyone can relate to.”

 

“Record of Youth” is slated to premiere in September of this year.

OST of TV drama starring Park Bo-gum to be released thru Tencent Music

SEOUL -- The original soundtrack of "The Moment," a tvN cable TV drama starring Park Bo-gum, will be released through Tencent Music, a company that develops music streaming services for the Chinese market. The drama to be released in the second half of this year follows the lives of young people in the world of modeling.

Pan Entertainment, a major drama production company in South Korea, said it has signed a contract to supply and distribute the drama's OST through Tencent Music. The drama would be co-produced by Pan Entertainment and Studio Dragon.

With the contract, Pan Entertainment will seek a strategic partnership for long-term business exchanges with Tencent Music in dramas, movies and video content. The Moment starring Park Bo-gum, Park So-dam and Byeon Woo-seok is one of the most-awaited dramas of 2020. Netflix, the world's top over-the-top (OTT) video platform, will upload the series.

Park Bo-gum, 27, will release a song written and composed by South Korea's singer-songwriter Sam Kim in August as the last present for fans before he joins a boot camp for his mandatory military service. He has applied for the keyboard part of the Navy's military music and honor guard.

Park became popular in the K-drama scene in 2015 when he played the main role in the cable TV drama, Reply 1988. Since then, he has appeared in TV dramas such as Love in the Moonlight (2016) and Encounter (2018).

tvN's upcoming new Mon-Tues drama 'Record of Youth' recently took viewers behind the scenes during the cast and crew's first script reading session!

 

 

 

 

During this script reading, the main cast and crew of 'Record of Youth' including Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam, Byun Woo Seok, Ha Hee Ra, Shin Ae Ra, and more tested out their chemistry for the first time. The story centers around three youths, each struggling and devoting themselves to their dreams. 

 

First, Park Bo Gum plays the role of a young aspiring actor, Sa Hye Joon. Opposite him, Park So Dam returns to the small-screen as a bright and passionate makeup artist, Ahn Jung Ha, also a fan of actor Sa Hye Joon. Alongside these two, Byun Woo Seok plays the role of another aspiring actor with a background in modeling, a moral-driven young man named Won Hae Hyo who can't stand to see people taking the easy road.

Park Bo-gum, Park So-dam and Byeon Woo-seok will be starring in Record of Youth and recently had their first script reading session. Read below to know what the talented trio had to share about their upcoming tvN drama.

Gear up for your next K-drama to obsess over as Park Bo-gum, Park So-dam and Byeon Woo-seok have begun script reading for tvN's Record of Youth. 

 

According to Soompi, Record of Youth centers around the modelling industry with three central characters who try their best to achieve their goals on their own terms.

 

Bo-gum, who will be enlisting in the navy on August 31, 2020, will be seen as Sa Hye-joon, an actor and model who is very realistic in his life approach.

 

Parasite star So-dam will be playing the role of Ahn Jung-ha, who aspires to become a makeup artist and is very sensible and hardworking.

 

On the other hand, we have Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency star Woo-seok, who will be essaying Won Hae-hyo, an actor and model who is Hye-joon's best friend and has a fiercely competitive streak.

 

Along with the trio, Record of Youth will also star Park Soo-young and Ha Hee-ra as Hye-joon's father and mother, Seo Sang-won and Shin Ae-ra as Hae-hyo's father and mother and Han Jin-hee as Hye-joon's grandfather.

 

Soompi reported that the talented cast recently began their first script reading session which wrapped up successfully. For Bo-gum, the Love in the Moonlight star hopes for Record of Youth to be a memorable drama that will be beautifully filmed while he will do his very best.

 

So-dam hopes that everyone will be safe and well until the end of the drama while Woo-seok hopes that they can have fun filming without getting hurt.

 

"I think this is a precious moment that won’t return in my youth as well," Bo-gum pondered while expressing his hope for viewers to love Record of Youth and wished for everyone to be happy.

 

So-dam asked the viewers to wait patiently for the premiere while Woo-seok gushed about how fun it was to act with his co-stars.

 

Directed by Ahn Gil-ho of Memories of the Alhambra fame and written by Ha Myung-Hee of Doctors fame, Record of Youth will be premiering in September 2020.

On July 6, tvN gave a glimpse of this drama that stars Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam, and Byun Woo Seok. The new show is about young people in the modeling industry who are trying to achieve their dreams.

 

Park Bo Gum plays the bright and warm yet realistic Sa Hye Joon, who’s aiming to become a model and actor.

 

Park So Dam takes the role of sensible and hardworking Ahn Jung Ha, who dreams of being a makeup artist and wants to overcome her insecurities.
