[Upcoming Drama 2020/2021] Penthouse/War in Life, 펜트하우스 - Season 3 premieres in June

I am so excited ! Seo Jin is about to find out that her happy ever after isn't that magical lol

Yoon Hee needs to wise up. She killed Seol A and almost wanted to kill SR.

I think it's POSSIBLE that SR is alive but the opening sequence was so magical! Is the lady on top justice or is it SR's twin/the mother of the real twins? This reads like Pretty Little Liars HAHAH

Can't wait to see Logan lee again. One thing I love about this drama is that even the side characters like the lawyer family, the teachers- all are interesting and horrible in their own way.

The cast said that there are repeated twists and lingering regrets. I can't help but feel that the kids will be more heavily involved this time and perhaps it's them involved in a murder now.

After episode 8 I am convinced it's 100% Shim Su Ryeon, even Joo Dan Tae said that she was acting weird 2 years ago ignoring his calls etc. I mean Na Ae Gyo wouldn't do that especially if she is on go

“Penthouse” Actress Eugene Reveals She Wasn’t Informed Beforehand That She Would Be “Min Seol Ah’s Killer”

On a radio show appearance dated February 18, 2021, Eugene shared that she was just as taken aback as everyone else. Both the radio show MCs as well as the public had expected Oh Yoon Hee’s character to be the “normal” and “good” one, compared to the crazy drama in Hera Palace.

Later on, she was revealed to be Min Seol Ah’s killer, shocking audiences. Eugene revealed, “To be honest, my character is one that shows lots of extreme changes due to the hardships she experienced in life. However, I totally did not know that my character would be the murderer when I signed up for the drama. When I read the script later on, I was surprised that I was the culprit.”

MC Shin Bong Sun asked the question that we all were wondering, “Did the writer change the script halfway through?” Eugene answered that it was not true at all, as the drama was completely pre-produced. However, she emphathized with the audience, claiming that she felt betrayal at the big reveal too.

I think this season Yoon Hee has wisen up a lot, based on the trailer and teasers I've seen.

I hope the year or two managed that for her, but her meeting with patricidal diva and declaring she's different from before is not something she should be doing right at the start of her revenge plan.

But I'd like to know how you assessed that she's become wiser in this season.

Looks like CSJ ex husband has grown balls this season. He was such a pushover last season letting her push him around and slap him Lol.  Pathetic.

Bae Ro Na needs to start slapping ppl . I don't know who Seok Kyung thinks she is to always bully ppl. I hate her.

For one, this woman has been through A LOT. There’s no way she wouldn’t change after this, even in daily dramas the male/female lead changes after all they’ve been through.
Secondly, I’m assuming that she was saved and started planning her revenge (I still think she’s a villain... you don’t magically become good after killing a child, lol) after she got patched up. Walking up to the evil queen and declaring you’ve changed is a challenge, not a dumb move. She’s grown a huge backbone over the time-skip.
In my opinion, I think there’s even more to come this season. We don’t know everything yet.

Well he WAS in an abusive relationship. Let’s not blame him for that.

Watch: “The Penthouse 2” Counts Down To Premiere With Exciting Preview Of Revenge And Deadly Competition

The Penthouse 2” has shared a new highlight video and details about what’s to come in the much-anticipated season!

The SBS show returns on February 19 with the premiere of its new season, which continues the exciting story of twisted ambition, set in a 100-floor luxury penthouse apartment. Check out four key points to look forward to below:

1. The comeback of the dream team

After captivating drama fans around the world with the first season of the show, the talented writer Kim Soon Ok and director Joo Dong Min are returning with the drama’s new season. Following the cast’s powerful performances in the first chapter, stars including Eugene, Kim So Yeon, Uhm Ki Joon, Shin Eun Kyung, Bong Tae Gyu, Yoon Jong Hoon, Park Eun Suk, Yoon Joo Hee, Ha Do Kwon, and more are confirmed to reprise roles in “The Penthouse 2.” It’s said that they’ll be returning with slightly different appearances and more vivid characters. Fans are excited to see what this magical combo of the writer, director, and cast produces this time around.

2. More intense and suspenseful stories

The first season of the show focused on wealthy families who live in the grand apartment building Hera Palace, as well as their children at Cheong Ah Art High School, the best art school in the country. It told a suspenseful story of the hypocrisy and vanity of those who have it all, as well as their evil deeds and twisted ambition.

“The Penthouse 2” will provide even more thrills and suspense as it portrays Hera Palace that’s still overrun with ambition and vanity, villains continuing to commit evil deeds, and the revenge carried out in desperation by those who met a tragic end due to the wickedness and power of those in advantageous positions.

3. An unpredictable story, taking place two years later

“The Penthouse 2” is described as telling a story that takes place “two years after the first war ended with a victory for evil.” The plot will include the villainous couple Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) and Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon), who have become stronger after their marriage, the fierce competition between the “Hera Club” kids as they aim for Seoul National University, the tragedy of a girl, and Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene) and Logan Lee (Park Eun Suk) setting out to exact revenge on the villains.

4. An upgraded scale and epic twists

The first season of the show impressed with its creation of the world of Hera Palace, with the grand scale, beautiful shots, and CGI effects that turned turned imagination into reality. It’s said that the next season will also be delighting viewers’ eyes and ears with its large scale.

There will also be thrilling twists as mysteries from season one are solved, such as the identity of the person with the butterfly tattoo and the story behind Oh Yoon Hee’s return after having almost died. More exciting stories will center around the winner of the Cheong Ah Art High School award, as well as a girl who takes a fall.

Writer Kim Soon Ok said, “I hope that you’ll take note of the retributive justice as you watch season two.” The production team stated, “Please tune in to the second season of ‘The Penthouse,’ which will feature a battle of revenge beyond imagination and shocking twists.”

A highlight video for the upcoming season shares some more hints at what’s to come. Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) gets down on one knee in front of Cheon Seo Jin to propose, saying “I think I’ve finally found my true soulmate” and telling her he loves her.

The pair have a fairytale wedding, but back at home, someone has been defacing Cheon Seo Jin’s things. She says in frustration to Joo Dan Tae, “I’m certain that it was Oh Yoon Hee.” He replies, “Oh Yoon Hee’s been gone for a year.” Cheon Seo Jin says, “We can’t be completely free as long as Oh Yoon Hee is alive.”

She then screams, “Why is Oh Yoon Hee here?!” The two meet and Oh Yoon Hee smiles and says, “We’re finally properly greeting each other.” Cheon Seo Jin asks, “Have you forgotten who died in the penthouse?” Oh Yoon Hee backs her up against the wall and tells her, “I’m different from Soo Ryeon.”

Logan Lee says to someone, “I’ll handle the rest. Everyone will die by my hands.” Ha Yoon Chul (Yoon Jong Hoon) gets in between Cheon Seo Jin and Oh Yoon Hee as they confront each other, and he collects some big winnings from a card game. “After my divorce, my life changed a lot,” he comments.

Oh Yoon Hee says, “I swear on the life of my daughter.” Someone says that Joo Dan Tae was the real murderer of Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah), and he smiles. Joo Seok Hoon (Kim Young Dae) confronts Joo Dan Tae, pushing him as he screams, “Why did you kill my mother? Why?”

In another scene, Joo Dan Tae grabs Cheon Seo Jin angrily and says, “You deceived me and went to meet another man.” Ha Yoon Chul says in a mocking tone, “You don’t like it when I’m close to Seo Jin?”

“I haven’t even started anything yet,” warns Oh Yoon Hee. As Cheon Seo Jin is shown performing on stage, she says in a voiceover, “Singing is my life.” Oh Yoon Hee replies, “Singing was my life too.”

Bae Ro Na (Kim Hyun Soo) is walking along when Joo Seok Kyung (Han Ji Hyun) pours a bucket of red liquid on her from up above. “How dare you come to our school?” asks Joo Seok Kyung. “I see you all haven’t changed a bit,” says Bae Ro Na.

Cheon Seo Jin tells her daughter Ha Eun Byul (Choi Ye Bin) in desperation, “If you lose the award to Ro Na, my life is over too. You have to win, even if it means killing her.” Joo Seok Kyung and Bae Ro Na both express their determination to win the award. Cheon Seo Jin gets ready to reveal the winner, but before the announcement is shown, a girl falls down the stairs outside, covered in blood once she lies at the bottom.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s Eun byeol rather that fell down the stairs? It looks like Rona but the necklace Eun byeol was wearing is similar to the one the girl lying on the floor is wearing rather than Rona’s. They might have argued and that’s how her hair came untied. I don’t want Rona to die too

I thought everyone collectively hated Rona though?? She’s always getting attacked, lol. I like her, but I do not want her to die either. But it looks like it’ll happen, sadly.

The woman in the middle with the child is suppose to be Shim Su Ryeon, the woman on the right is Oh Yoon Hee, and the woman on the left is Cheon Seo-Jin. Look how they didn't add Lee Ji Ah's name to the intro credits but you can see Eugene 's name on the right and Kim So Yeon's name on the left. Will they have "Lee Ji Ah" later on in the season? Probably.

Agreed. Personally I think it's Rona because you can see she was wearing two rings when she was singing.

Yeah, agreed, Although Rona doesn't deserve to die, it'll be karma to OYH. (Unless she wasn't the killer)

I don't hate Rona, I just can't stand her constant screaming.

I could see this happening. By the final episode of Season 3, we see a similar scene to the end of season 1 but it's Shim Su Ryeon that is holding the body of Oh Yoon Hee. Assuming the big reveal of Season 2 is that Shim Su Ryeon is alive.

Good gawd, we won't see the finale until at least July. Now, I'm hearing that Season 3 will be one episode per week.

I still think it's gonna be Ro Na. Eun Byeol's necklace was sapphires and diamonds while the one on the fallen girl was plain and had a weighty thing towards the end (Ro Na's necklace was also plain and had a pendant). It would make sense though, her mom took away a child's life so she has to "pay" for her mothers sins. We see the sins of the parents reflect on the kids in dramas all the time.

Possibly. I hope not, though. I still need to see the evil YH in action.

OYH is the killer. That's pretty much final. And I hate Rona's screaming too.

“The Penthouse 2” Shares Fun Sneak Peek Of Jang Sung Kyu’s Cameo In Upcoming Premiere

Get ready for a fun cameo by Jang Sung Kyu in SBS’s “The Penthouse 2”!

The second season of the smash hit drama premieres tonight (February 19 KST), and SBS has upped the excitement by unveiling a sneak peek of Jang Sung Kyu’s special appearance from the highly-anticipated first episode.

In the upcoming season of “The Penthouse,” Bong Tae Gyu’s character Lee Gyu Jin will venture into politics and become a member of the National Assembly. Jang Sung Kyu, who currently hosts JTBC’s variety show “Movie Room” together with Bong Tae Gyu in real life, will be playing the role of Lee Gyu Jin’s passionate chief of staff.

The newly released stills of Jang Sung Kyu’s cameo provide an amusing glimpse of the chaos that is Lee Gyu Jin’s election campaign: as his wife Go Sang Ah (played by Yoon Joo Hee) looks on with a concerned expression, the seemingly unconscious candidate is carried out of his own rally by his chief of staff and other aides.

Same with Eun Byul.  I don't care how traumatized she is, she is a horrid child, and needs to be slapped back when she bullies Rona.

All that said, we will probably just get a lot of wailing and screaming from Rona, though.  So, I'm okay with her getting killed off.

they are the all worst parents ever, yet they have money and live in nice apartments.
So Eun-Byeol now has two step sisters and a step brother thanks to the remarriages of each of her parents, but besides she hates them all !! What an atmosphere,
Poor Rona it was really hell but really hell, the writers really managed to show what happens when you have a parent accused of crime; fortunately his mother came back stronger

Seo jin and DanTae already have sex outside of their union each:joy:, Yoon chul is a profiteer, I was also amazed:joy:
I think Yoon chul &Yoon's marriage is true, but it's probably for revenge too,;)

Who will die between Rona and Eun Byeol? because it seems that the girl who falls from the stairs, really dies with the wound on her head, i bet it's Byeol who dies, despite the talent of the actress, there are Rona and Seok Hoon shippers

Otherwise I would have liked to see a romance between Eun Byeol and Seok-hoon, i probably the only one who want to see this:fullofhearts:, after all the adults exchange between them, so I would have liked to see the two young together, but it will not happen as one is crazy and probably soon dies, and the other is in love with another

I'm still worried that it was Rona who fell. Although there's a possibility that it's EB, I think Rona is more likely. If it turns out to be her, I hope she doesn' die.

CSJ is with JDT, HYC is with OYH, but LL is not with SSR :bawling:

Lol, they had to make all the main characters somehow related, or else it wouldn't be called a makjang drama.
