Shin Eun Kyung And Yoon Joo Hee Are Burning With Fierce Determination In “The Penthouse” Season 2

SBS’s “The Penthouse” Season 2 released new stills of Shin Eun Kyung and Yoon Joo Hee!

Every Friday and Saturday, a suspenseful story of revenge will unravel at the Penthouse, an apartment complex reserved for those at the top of the social pyramid. It will focus on the solidarity and pursuit of revenge among a group of women who will stop at nothing to protect their children.

Shin Eun Kyung plays Kang Ma Ri, a woman who leads a double life, and Yoon Joo Hee plays Go Sang Ah, the wife of Lee Gyu Jin (Bong Tae Gyu).

First of all, Kang Ma Ri is an outspoken woman who is focused on the success and happiness of her one and only daughter Yoo Je Ni (Jin Ji Hee), and she doesn’t hesitate to bully outsiders like Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene) and Bae Ro Na (Kim Hyun Soo). However, it was revealed that while she may be a nouveau riche, she is also a professional scrubber who scrubs down bathers in a public bathhouse.

On the other hand, Go Sang Ah may seem happy and naïve, but she is actually persecuted by her in-laws, and her marriage is more like a prison she can’t escape from.

Kang Ma Ri and Go Sang Ah have extremely great teamwork, and they’re best friends who rely on each other for everything. It will be intriguing to find out how they will add entertainment to the second season.

On February 11, the drama unveiled a glimpse of Kang Ma Ri and Go Sang Ah. The newly released stills depict the two in the lobby of Hera Palace. Kang Ma Ri’s intensity is highlighted by her bold makeup, and Go Sang Ah is standing before her with a clenched fist. It seems like Go Sang Ah is trying to persuade Kang Ma Ri, and Kang Ma Ri listens to her with keen ears. Moreover, the two characters look at one place with flashing anger, raising questions about what they will do next.

The production team shared, “Shin Eun Kyung and Yoon Joo Hee are actors who have magical charms that make viewers fall in love with their characters. Please look forward to seeing what kind of activities Kang Ma Ri and Go Sang Ah, who are indispensable to Hera Palace, will do in the future.”

The second season of “The Penthouse” will premiere on February 19 at 10 p.m. KST.

“The Penthouse 2” Previews 4 Scene Stealers To Look Out For

SBS’s “The Penthouse 2” has revealed stills of four returning characters that will once again be grabbing attention during the thrilling plot.

The new season of the show continues the suspenseful story of twisted ambition set in a world with the highest real estate prices and top education. It focuses on the revenge and solidarity of women who’ve become evil in order to protect their children.

In the new season, Ha Do Kwon reprises his role as the music teacher Ma Du Gi at Cheong Ah Art High School, who’s known for putting on a strong persona in front of the weak while acting weak with those who are strong. In the drama, Ma Du Gi made many viewers angry when he followed Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon)’s orders and bullied the student Bae Ro Na (Kim Hyun Soo). He’s loyal to art department director Cheon Seo Jin, but he’s also weak when it comes to money and power, and he received a large amount of money from Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) to share a test paper. Now that Cheon Seo Jin has become the chairperson, Ma Du Gi has been promoted to the position of the director of the art department, and many are curious to see what detestable things he’ll do in “The Penthouse 2.”

Kim Ro Sa plays the chilling two-faced Yang Mi Ok, who is a housekeeper for Joo Dan Tae and Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah). Although she seemed quiet, she hid a love for Joo Dan Tae and even put on Shim Soo Ryeon’s clothes, pretending to be her. In the final episode, it was revealed that she’d received an order from Joo Dan Tae and put on a performance to lead Shim Soo Ryeon to the study, which shocked viewers. Fans are waiting to find out what her obsession over Joo Dan Tae will lead to in the new season.

Kim Dong Kyu plays Joo Dan Tae’s loyal Secretary Cho, who’s in charge of cleaning up the aftermath of Joo Dan Tae’s actions. Kim Do Hyun has taken the role of Cheon Seo Jin’s mysterious Secretary Do, who covers up her evil deeds.

Joo Dan Tae’s secretary is so loyal to him that he’ll do whatever he orders, no matter the method required. In the final episode, he retrieved the knife that Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene) had thrown away, and he lured Oh Yoon Hee to the penthouse study. Meanwhile, Cheon Seo Jin’s secretary takes care of the aftermath of her every move, including the incident when she ran away from her father when he was dying.

The production team stated, “Ha Do Kwon, Kim Ro Sa, Kim Dong Kyu, and Kim Do Hyun are actors who are able to grab attention with their unique personalities and detailed performances.” They added, “Please look forward to what these four scene stealers do as they continue to raise curiosity.”

“The Penthouse 2” premieres on February 19.

“The Penthouse 2” Hints At Changes Ahead For The Children Of Hera Palace

SBS’s upcoming “The Penthouse 2” has released new stills of the children of Hera Palace!

As the relationships between the adults in Hera Palace grow darker and more tangled, their children feel the effects—and get into complicated relationships of their own.

Kim Hyun Soo plays Bae Ro Na, a talented aspiring singer and the daughter of Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene). However, she endures merciless bullying from the rest of the “Little Hera Club.” After her mother becomes a suspect in Shim Soo Ryeon’s murder case, Bae Ro Na is forced to bear the additional burden of being labeled a “murderer’s daughter.”

Jin Ji Hee plays Yoo Je Ni, the only daughter of Kang Ma Ri (Shin Eun Kyung). In middle school, Yoo Je Ni framed Bae Ro Na to the point that Bae Ro Na was summoned to the committee for school violence. Yoo Je Ni was also part of the Little Hera Club that bullied Min Seol Ah (Jo Soo Min). But in the final episode of “The Penthouse,” after seeing Bae Ro Na standing still in shock after the word “murderer” was scrawled on her front door, she quietly gave her a sandwich, possibly indicating a change of heart.

Kim Young Dae plays Joo Seok Hoon and Han Ji Hyun plays Joo Seok Kyung, the twin children of Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) and Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah). As part of the Little Hera Club, Joo Seok Hoon had participated in bullying others. He underwent a major change of heart after falling in love with Bae Ro Na, standing up to his father and trying to rein in his sister.

Meanwhile, Joo Seok Kyung had struck a dangerous deal with her father in order to win against her rival Ha Eun Byul and went to extremes to prevent herself from falling down the social ladder. After the death of their mother, Shim Soo Ryeon, it was hinted that the twins might be sent to study abroad.

Choi Ye Bin plays Ha Eun Byul, the daughter of Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon). She suffers psychologically from the extremely high expectations that her mother puts on her. After various shocking events such as her parents’ divorce and her mother’s affair and arrest, she attempted to take her own life. In the final episode, it was revealed that Ha Eun Byul had witnessed the death of her grandfather Cheon Myung Soo (Jung Sung Mo) and Cheon Seo Jin’s role as a bystander. She mentioned her grandfather to her mother with a twisted smile, suggesting that she might be heading down an even darker path.

Lee Tae Bin plays Lee Min Hyuk, the son of Lee Gyu Jin (Bong Tae Gyu) and Go Sang Ah (Yoon Joo Hee). He was part of the Little Hera Club and frequently bullied others. However, as his father is now a National Assembly member, it remains to be seen how the son’s future will change.

The production staff of “The Penthouse 2” said, “There will be big external and internal changes for the kids of ‘The Penthouse,’ who have learned greed and vanity from their parents and experienced a series of shocking scandals. Please look forward to how they will shake up the story.”

“The Penthouse 2” premieres on February 19 and will be available on Viki.

Watch: “The Penthouse 2” Stars Tease Big Changes And Shocking Twists In Sneak Peek Of Season 2

SBS’s “The Penthouse 2” has shared an exciting new sneak peek!

In a fun video that features glimpses of the new season ahead, the stars of “The Penthouse” dish on what viewers can look forward to in the highly-anticipated second season of the wildly popular drama.

After opening with a flashback from the finale of the first season, the clip launches into a sneak peek of Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon)’s and Joo Dan Te (Uhm Ki Joon)’s children forming an unhappy family at the dinner table. As the formerly adulterous couple is now openly dating, Cheon Seo Jin and her daughter Ha Eun Byul (Choi Ye Bin) are dining together at the home of Joo Dan Te and his children, Joo Seok Hoon (Kim Young Dae) and Joo Seok Kyung (Han Ji Hyun).

Describing his character’s motivations, Uhm Ki Joon says, “It’s about what I must gain. Not love, but the things I must gain.”

Meanwhile, Choi Ye Bin ominously points out that the situation is a difficult one for her character because of Ha Eun Byul’s feelings for Joo Seok Hoon. “Even if we become family members, I don’t need to pretend to get along with Seok Kyung. But when it comes to Seok Hoon, the moment that we become family, my love can never become a reality.” She adds with a meaningful smile, “So I have to avoid [becoming family] no matter what.”

Kim Young Dae chimes in, “There has become a chance that Eun Byul’s and my families might become one. It’s a huge deal, and I think it will become a big obstacle in [my relationship] with Ro Na.”

Han Ji Hyun adds, “The situation is infuriating for Seok Kyung, and if she has to live with Ha Eun Byul—whom she passionately hates—she might explode with anger and destroy everything around her.”

In contrast to her desperate desire to keep their parents from marrying, Ha Eun Byul pretends to be perfectly happy with the situation on the surface. After dinner, she affectionately praises the dessert Joo Dan Te prepared and tells him with a cheerful smile, “Thank you for inviting us.”

The clip then asks the cast of “The Penthouse 2” to sum up the second season of the drama in one word. Uhm Ki Joon chooses “Chaos,” while Kim So Yeon replies, “Lingering regret.” Yoon Jong Hoon’s pick is “Transformation,” and Ha Do Kwon jokes that the most important thing is whether his character Ma Doo Gi makes an appearance in that episode.

Jin Ji Hee teases, “Jenny will change, big time. She’s not the Jenny we know from Season 1.” Han Ji Hyun similarly remarks, “I think [Seok Kyung] will demonstrate a new kind of rebellion this season.”

S.E.S.’s Eugene goes on to share, “The relationships between the characters will change drastically,” while Choi Ye Bin cryptically remarks, “I felt the power of blood being thicker than water.”

Kim Hyun Soo teases that the second season will feature “repeated twists,” which Yoon Joo Hee echoes by promising “twist after twist after twist.” Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae comments that there will be so much happening that it’ll hard to be choose what to focus on.

Finally, Bong Tae Gyu blurts out one of the season’s upcoming twists after saying, “This definitely can’t be aired.” The video censors his spoiler, and both he and the production staff go on to crack up at the fact that he just said such a shocking twist out loud. “Even I didn’t see it coming!” exclaims the actor. “It’s a huge twist, right? I think it’s the biggest twist ever. It’s the biggest twist of Season 2.”

“The Penthouse 2” premieres on February 19 and will be available with subtitles on Viki. In the meantime, check out the new sneak peek of the upcoming season below!

I really hope Shim Su Ryeon is alive, how could she die so easily when she was always so many steps ahead of everyone. Also, that hand that moves in what seems like a morgue seems a little suspicious? :dissapointed_relieved:
