Lol...why is Jenny's dad in jail and not in Dubai? Oh my... so Jenny's mum saved those rich ladies' lives when she was poor.

So other than Soo-ryeon and Yoon-hee, now Dr Ha, Lawyer Lee (has Min Seol-ah's phone) and Seok-hoon also know about Dan-tae and Seo-jin's affair. Only a matter of time until the whole Hera palace gang finds out.

Looks like Logan Lee/Goo Ho-dang will be making Soo-ryeon's life harder... Nooo Logan Lee/Goo Ho-dang... Please give Soo-ryeon a chance to explain herself!

According to Nielsen Korea, the December 1 episode of “The Penthouse” recorded average nationwide ratings of 14.7 and 19.6 percent. This is a significant jump from its previous personal best of 16.9 percent. In the metropolitan area, the drama broke into the 20 percent with average ratings of 21.2 percent.

I think she's dead, but some people are still traumatised. I don't think someone will survive after falling from such a high floor. 

 

I feel bad for SR, she has no one by her side atm.

 

DT's secretary died and there is some foreshadowing of YH or SR getting betrayed in the future.

 

And for the potential teammate, Logan Lee, hates her due to some misunderstanding. Hopefully it wouldn't last long.

 

I'm really disappointed that the gunshot was his imagination. Istg y'all making everything seem so dramatic. I was expecting him to shoot the floor or something. Oh well, it's called a makjang drama for a reason. I hate HYC, he's unlikeable. I hope he doesn't end up with YH. Same goes to Rona and Seok Hoon. This doesn't fact the fact that he bullied MSA along with others. 

 

YH managed to weasel her way out everytime. The guy voted her to stay because she called her "brother"? What? 

 

Episode 11 was a bit better than episode 10, but not as good as other episodes. I really hope Season 2 is a complete different story, if it's a continuation of this, I'll stop watching.

Hello! So when Penthouse came out, I vowed never to watch it cause I am not a fan of makjangs lol! But curiosity got the best of me and I decided to watch it after seeing the leads guest on Running Man! Boy am I so freaking HOOKED on it?!

 

The first few episodes made me RAGE and ANGRY but then later on when we start to see Soo Ryeon starting her revenge plan, I started to get more excited only cause I wanna see Joo Dan Tae and Cheon Seojin get what they deserve lol. 

 

Also, I'm lowkey shipping Seokhoon and Rona heh! ><

Same, I don't think it's a good idea for Dr Ha and Yoonhee to get back together. But for me, I'm lowkey shipping Rona and Seokhoon LOL. Probably cause the hopeless romantic in me is hoping for some sweet young love since the adults are all messed up and just plotting some good old revenge on one another.

He's under the impression that Sooryeon was a bad mother to Seolah and prolly abandoned her so I kinda understand his hatred for her. But i do hope she will be given a chance to explain herself and prolly ally with him to take down the gang!!

ah!! the dilemma that I (and others) are facing! We start to see Seokhoon's gentle side as he start to fall for Rona.. but nevertheless, he's still like his dad! UGH. though i do hope for a major development for his character in the end. But their r/s kinda reminds me of The Great Seducer.. afterall, Seokhoon started helping Rona (with no intention to fall for her) because of his twin anyway.. hmm

@lebritneeey... I'm in with the shipping of seok hoon and rona too.. Having the same opinion of sweet young love.. Hope he changes for RoNas sake.. He seems soft in the inside.. 

I had not been coming to soompi for so many weeks.. And moreover Many of my kdrama watching partners are not watching Penthouse... I really wanted to know of anybody is liking the relationship development of Seok hoon... And Dang!!!! We have the same wavelength.. Hahahah.. Kim Young Dae has caught my ❤....

Agreed! I think sooner or later, the rest of the gang will get fed up with these two, esp once their affair is revealed, and (hopefully), they'll turn against DT and SJ. 

 

I am really curious as to what will happen to Rona at the end of this week's ep. Like we see crazy Eunbyeol attacking her but who will actually save Rona? Will it be Seokhoon or P.E Saem? Hmm!

I won't be surprise that by the end of this season 1, we will not know who kill Min Seol-A. Is Su-Ryeon going to take revenge on Dan Tae for killing her fiancé back in US and many many more. If I'm not wrong, they edited the ep 20 and added ep 21 so as to go into season 2. Are they trying to copy the same format "Dallas" US drama back in 1978 till the audience complaint so much so that the ended the drama. At the end of that drama, nobody know who killed "JR"

Oh it never occurred to me that Logan Lee would be Gu Hodong. I had this assumption that Logan Lee was much older and was around Chairman Joo’s age. But this makes sense, seeing that they haven’t revealed his face yet.

but I'm so curious, well maybe just assume that it's Joo Dan Tae and Seo Jin, right? because I think other characters are not very evil to be able to kill a person, not even Eun Byoel. 

why Logan Lee didn't help her poor sister though, while he is a very wealthy man.. 

I think I will be tired if they drag the revenge plot too long, if they wanted to make S2 etc can it be other than revenge, maybe about the fake daughter and about the kids going to university and grow up, married etc.

I'm so curious who is Jenni's father in the jail? lol Jenni's mom is so funny.

@lebritneeey @OhKneeBee TV I too low key like that Seok Hun is crushing on Rona. The fact he ate the food that Yeon Hee made and then the others took his lead to eat it. He got ticked at his sis thinking she was LYING to him about not putting the porn/cigarettes in Rona's stuff when he saw her in Rona's room. (We know how much loyal he listens to his sis. So for the fact he is UPSET definitely shows his growing feelings. His stares at her and then checking her out while she ran to catch the bus to school. Very telling he took her pain patches from Rona and immediately put them on. Or telling the lie he PUT the cigarettes in her bag. Glad she had the sense to know  he did not do it. I liked that he told Eun Byul he is NOT interested in her. But crazed as EB is for him, if she cannot have him no one can. Sigh

 

-the new teacher the actor is handsome so having him in the bad teeth and long wig must be interesting for him. So he is Anna Lee's bro from orphanage makes sense. Rots that Anna never found out her birth mom and if she knew who it was, she would have been ok. I hope that though he wants revenge for her, he IS doing what he thinks is right as she is living in his opinion a great life. (He doesn't know it is not glittering brightly as it seems). Interesting he took interest to beat up Seok Hun and weird SH thought he could beat him up.

 

Logan Lee---wonder if he was her adoptive bro who got her bone marrow. I love that DT cannot talk to him easily. But if the twist it is the orphanage bro would be cool (the wig and teeth are so bad for the PE teacher.)  DT getting mad at not being able to get him. LOL.

 

The scene when they had the BOARD meeting to oust Yeon Hee. Loved that Lawyer's wife and the Lawyer voted for YH. As someone else noted, calling the Lawyer smart sexy and OPPA def saved YH's hide. He prob doesn't that that sweet talk at home. Notice his mom harangues him, his wife doesn't say those words to him. So his petty behavior to beat up the lawyer who was dating his crush was brutal in the other episode. The announcer wife after hearing YH tales of woe dealing with her mother in law, I think she felt sympathy. Even Jenny's mom (OMG who knew her back story saving these rich woman, hubby NOT in Dubai but in prison) even felt sympathy until SJ made a face and she retracted her sympathetic words for YH. I was happy YH survived to stay.

 

EB is very unstable. Like her mom (to chase RN) with Jenny's pin (I thought she had thrown away) to stab at her? Like mother like daughter, EEEKS very creepy and scary. I agree with others, why didn't Rona check her back pack and pouch, but frankly I don't check -double check every time each morning myself. Also the kids came to her place unexpectedly so she had no time to prepare or secure her stuff. But frankly I would be a little suspicious of them and their motives. Leopards don't change their spots overnight.

 

Def interesting and now SJ is flagrantly taunting Dr. Han who is not happy and got injured and now almost has a malpractice suit. She won't divorce him due to her dad's obsession with propriety and image. OMG. She is so scheming and unapologetic. Both with the other person they most hate in the world. Touche. 

 

Definitely my weekly dose of letting go of reality and common sense. LOL.

We know from the ep 12 preview that Seo-Jin is going to divorce Ha Yoon-Cheol included give up the school fountain to be with wealthy Dan Tae. Dan Tae was caught off guard as his intention was to flirt with her. If I'm not wrong, Dan Tae will not divorce Su-Ryeon because his construction company main investor is her parent. When Seo-Jin realised that she got nothing left for herself and start her revenge on Dan Tae. Same old story same old style.

It's obvious he will not divorce SY since he has quite to lose if he does that. I'm expecting SJ to go crazy once she realises that DT has no intention to be with her forever and prolly cooked up some revenge plot. Usual makjang story lol!

It seems the children find out that Sol A was killed by their parents - I wonder how that will affect them? Imagine that went public, their school's reputation is going to hurt.

 

I really hope Su Ryeon can explain the situation to the PE teacher, and they can work together, and not get caught by Ms. Cheon. The trailer proves otherwise but I hope the misunderstandings can be remedied in the next two episodes.

 

Is Eun Byeol playing the faint card? Why would she even do that? It seems she was talking with Ro Na before falling down to the ground. I fear her mother is going to set Ro Na up with that. And somehow I hope Seok Hun can do something to let Ro Na be chosen as ambassador. That is implausible but would be awesome to see.

 

A part of me wishes a romance between Ro Na and Seok Hun, but a part of me wants him to be her ally, and her to stay cautious around him while he falls head over heels for her (with all the protectiveness and loyalty, even either going against or 'reforming' his sister) and they'd be the new gang who are more, well, human.

 

As in, Seok Hun needs to prove himself worthy before I can see him as good; just because he falls for the good girl doesn't make him a good guy. It makes me more worried for the good girl, since she can be doubly screwed if not cautious. I ask of you, Seok Hun; prove yourself worthy of Ro Na's attention. What we still dont know is what Seok Kyung has planned for Ro Na, especially after Eun Byeol is out of the picture. 

 

 

I also want to know a bit more about Sol A's adoptive parents, more precisely the relationship between them and her adoptive brother, since things don't quite add up there. (Why would the brother care so much when the parents literally kicked her out? Was there a conflict or a lack of communication?)

 

Like others before said, I want to see Ms. Cheon divorced by Ha Yun Cheul (but he won't have the guts to resign from the hospital and restart his life from scratch) and abandoned by Joo Dan Tae. But imagine the divorce gets so public as well her affair with Dan Tae, so Su Ryeon divorces with Dan Tae and claims custody of the kids and a lot of wealth. That'd be awesome. Of course, Oh Yun Hee should not accept Yun Cheul if he hasn't done what I said above, since until then, he'd literally be a tool.

I think Logan Lee got the organ Seol Ah was tricked into donating to his adoptive brother, I don't think the brother wanted to cheat her and probably liked her quite a bit and regrets it all, maybe that is why he is coming back to avenge her.

If that is the case I imagine there must have been a conflict between Rogan and his parents. Or his parents really feel guilty over what they did.

 

If the latter, why wouldn't the parents take her back? Like they could've just explained everything to her and asked her to come back; especially after she started living alone, or sent her some money over or who know what (was that what the house was all about?) Then she could've done her dog's surgery without having to consider tutoring those kids. They literally were a call away from that. 

 

If the former, then that would mean Rogan is not a pacifist. It would also imply that he had usurped the power from his parents. Which means he has all the more background knowledge to know where Su Ryeon is coming from (since he too was manipulated by someone close and found out about her far too late).

 

It is also weird since Sol A did call him, back when she was alive. Why couldn't he send her a few k₩? That should not be quite as noticable in their bank account.

 

Something is a bit fishy. I just want to get some plausible hypotheses for his background since his appearance at this specific point of time doesn't quite make sense to me.

 

(And partly because I am a bit obsessed with this drama)
