The newly released stills show Yi Yeon and Nam Ji Ah’s first meeting.

Yi Yeon stands out in an impeccable black suit, and his expression is unreadable as he crosses the room in long strides.  Despite being in a thick crowd, Nam Ji Ah spots Yi Yeon right away. However, instead of admiring his good looks or being captivated by his special aura, she seems unimpressed by his existence as she watches him with suspicious eyes.

The production team commented, “Lee Dong Wook and Jo Bo Ah are masters of detail who don’t miss even the slightest emotional changes. Please look forward to their fantastic chemistry.”

Kim Bum Hides His True Self From Jo Bo Ah In Teasers For New Fantasy Drama

tvN’s upcoming drama “Tale of the Nine Tailed” has shared new stills of Kim Bum and Jo Bo Ah!

“Tale of the Nine Tailed” is an urban fantasy drama about a male gumiho (a mythical nine-tailed fox) named Yi Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) who has settled in the city and the fearless producing director (PD) who is determined to hunt him down (Jo Bo Ah).

Jo Bo Ah’s character, Nam Ji Ah, is the PD of a TV show that tracks down ghost stories. Both her parents disappeared in a mysterious incident 21 years ago and she has been searching for the truth ever since. Kim Bum’s character, Yi Rang, is Yi Yeon’s half-brother who was born to one human parent and one gumiho parent. As such, he is known as the world’s most dangerous gumiho. He has the ability to transform his appearance and is the type to risk his life on a bet.

In the new stills released by tvN, Jo Bo Ah and Kim Bum have their first meeting. In thick glasses and a hoodie, Kim Bum projects an air of innocence and sweetness that is a far cry from his true identity as a half-gumiho. Jo Bo Ah listens carefully to what he says, but is distracted by something in the distance that turns her friendly expression into a guarded one.

Both Jo Bo Ah and Kim Bum picked this scene as the one that left the most impact during their first script reading. Although this was the first time the two actors had met since the reading, the atmosphere on set was positive and bright until filming began, at which point both actors completely immersed themselves into their characters.

A source from the drama said, “There is an unusual atmosphere in Nam Ji Ah and Yi Rang’s first meeting. Please look forward to the chemistry between Jo Bo Ah and Kim Bum.”

Lee Dong-wook, a new TVN drama 'Tale of the Nine Tailed', revealed his feelings of transforming into a male Gumiho. ' Tale of the Nine Tailed ', premieres on October 7 following the 'Flower of Evil', is a fascinating and cruel fantasy action romance drama between a Gumiho who settled in the city and the producer who hunts him. Lee Dong-wook was once a mountain god who ruled the Baekdu-daegan, but now he settles in the city center and takes on the role of Gumiho Yi Yeon, the judge who punishes the ghosts that disturb the current world. In this regard, I heard the story of Yi Yeon character conveyed by Lee Dong-wook. Regarding the criticism of '100% custom casting' with male Gumiho Yi Yeon, Lee Dong-wook expressed his gratitude by saying, "I am so grateful for the reaction that the character Gumiho visually suits me." tvN has released a new teaser for the upcoming drama “Tale of the Nine Tailed”!

In the teaser, the characters question the existence of a “monster” who never ages or dies. Meanwhile, Yi Yeon says in a voice-over, “Forget everything you know about me.”

The monster turns out to be a gumiho in hiding, described as a “legend brought back to modern times.” Jo Bo Ah’s character Nam Ji Ah can be heard asking Yi Yeon, “Did you kill them? Or are you here to kill them?” Face-to-face with Nam Ji Ah, Yi Yeon asks, “What is it that you want?” The video then cuts to Nam Ji Ah insisting, “You are my only clue right now.”

Following action-packed fight scenes involving Kim Bum as Yi Yeon’s half-brother Yi Rang, who was born to one human parent and one gumiho parent, Yi Yeon says, “Once I return to my world, humans who are conditioned by darkness will become an existence that isn’t anything, including human.”

Skilled at transformation, he’s a constantly changing figure who sees through human greed and uses their desires to place bets.Regarding the script, Kim Bum shared, “The content and structure of the refreshing topic, which I had yet to see before, was very interesting.” The actor also revealed that he chose the drama because he liked the character of Yi Rang. Kim Bum explained, “When you look at it one way, he seems like a bad guy, but in another way, he’s pitiful and has many scars, so there are some aspects that are understandable. His original disposition is kind and innocent, but due to some situation and misunderstanding, he becomes hurt. Thank you do much for posting this, I was already smiling seeing Kim Bum after feeling I have not seen him in forever at the script reading.  Now seeing  LDW and JBA in a scene together  Their chemistry is off the chains. I can't wait for this show to start and thank you for all of the updates.

This sounds right up my alley, I'm excited to meet this character. I like villains you can empathize with somewhat, and his description of being bad due to past struggles and emotional damage as well as capturing this "inhuman" nature sounds super interesting.
