“The Good Detective 2” kicked off with a mysterious “white gown serial killer” who would put a white gown on his dead victim and messily apply bright red lipstick on her lips. There have already been five victims, and towards the end of the second episode, the drama gave a glimpse of the murderer (Kim In Kwon).

 

Ahead of the next episode, the drama’s production team shared new stills of Kang Do Chang, Oh Ji Hyuk, and the serial killer. The three of them meet in a bus, but judging from the way the two detectives are chatting casually with him, it seems as if they haven’t recognized who he is yet. The murderer, who enjoyed watching his victims die in pain, wears an innocent mask on his face that hides his chilly madness.

The drama’s producers remarked, “Today (August 6), Kang Do Chang and Oh Ji Hyuk will meet the real killer. It will be a decisive scene that shows he’s not an easy opponent. Please wait and see why these three people met and whether the results will lead to the arrest of the real criminal.”

Veteran detective Kang Do Chang, who has more than 20 years of experience as a detective, showed concerns about his career. Last season, he was able to catch the real culprit and clear Lee Dae Chul’s (Jo Jae Yoon‘s) name, but Lee Dae Chul was eventually sentenced to death. The incident left a traumatic scar in Kang Do Chang that caused him to doubt himself, and he considered working in the office without physically going after criminals.

 

Viewers have been curious about Kang Do Chang’s past, and the upcoming episode will finally unveil it. In the new stills, Kang Do Chang is standing at the end of the alter at his own wedding. His face is lit up with a warm, bright smile as he waits for his bride (played by Park Hyo Joo), who is beaming happily. However, what’s strange is that Kang Do Chang has never been married before, leading viewers to wonder what happened at the wedding.

JTBC’s “The Good Detective 2” has shared an intriguing sneak peek of its upcoming episode!

 

The first season of “The Good Detective” starring Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, and Lee Elijah was about the realistic lives of police detectives in their quest to uncover the truth and their conflicts with those who try to conceal it.

The Violent Crimes Team 2 finally caught the killer behind the “white gown serial murders.” However, in the middle of the investigation, they realized that the fourth victim Jung Hee Joo (Shin Ha Young) is an entirely separate case. Jung Hee Joo used to be part of TJ Group’s legal team, and she was intricately involved with the company’s high-ranking officials. This led to the revelation that she could be linked to the assault case of Kim Min Ji (Baek Sang Hee) that Woo Tae Ho (Jung Moon Sung) tried to cover up because it involved his brother-in-law Cheon Sang Woo (Choi Dae Hoon).

 

The newly released stills show the Violent Crimes Team 2 passionately jumping into another investigation. However, the alarmed looks on their faces increase anxiety, and Kang Do Chang, Oh Ji Hyuk, Kwon Jae Hong (Cha Rae Hyung), and Shim Dong Wook (Kim Myung Joon) race towards something with shocked looks on their faces. Ji Man Goo (Jung Soon Won) is on the ground bleeding, and Kang Do Chang seems to be in extreme panic mode.

The production team hinted that the Violent Crimes Team 2 will go on an exhilarating chase in the upcoming episode to find the key to the Jung Hee Joo case. They added, “In the process, an unexpected crisis will occur. Please watch to see if they will overcome this, arrest Ki Dong Jae (Lee Suk), and find out who’s behind [this case].”

Haha, I was laughing so hard at the scene with everyone stifling their laughter after those two guys were embracing and wailing after their respective stab-injuries and brain surgery. (Wow, that actor really shaved his head for this. Commitment!)

 

One of the things I loved about Season 1 was that old-timey cop-show music they played at the opening. It was just funny every time. But I am loving the new American(-ish) jazz they are playing. Including some original songs! It is amazing to hear Ella Fitzgerald in a K-drama, although it makes me apprehensive about who is paying for those songs. Disney Plus? Or is this show going to end up Netflix and they will strip all the music out of it?

TJ Group director Chun Na Na (Kim Hyo Jin) shocked everyone by revealing her desire in a terrible and unexpected way. She killed her husband Woo Tae Ho (Jung Moon Sung) and pretended his death was an accident. However, the Violent Crimes Team 2 finds something very suspicious about this, and in the upcoming episode, Kang Do Chang and Oh Ji Hyuk will go see Chun Na Na themselves.

 

The newly released stills show the two detectives visiting Chun Na Na. Oh Ji Hyuk, who has the excellent ability to see through other people’s psychology, stares at her with a penetrating gaze as he tries to find out what’s on her mind. However, Chun Na Na is good at maintaining a poker face, and they can’t tell what her intentions are. Her face without makeup is pale, and both sadness and iciness coexist in it. What will she tell Kang Do Chang and Oh Ji Hyuk regarding her husband’s death?
