 I love the deal they made ~ one month free tonkatsu vs. one month labor at the restaurant... Hoping that the little kids are friends in school and will be our little matchmaker...?

Waaa the preview... kissing already the two young ones <_< in a dim rooftop room

@ktcjdrama ~ love how his kid came and innocently gave the spoons. hahahahha... so cute. guess, the writer will now work there for a month because of the bet?

liked how firm hae jin was in standing for herself -- she made it clear that while she put up with his father and sister looking down on her, she wasn't going to tolerate him having an affair. she really did scare him with the very direct question of "do you still love me?" .. for so long, she has been walking on egg shells and letting him having his way that he hasn't realized there's a limit to how much she can tolerate. but then she caves and accepts his dim excuse.

found the little inside SBS jokes at the PD office amusing. there was the shady mom poster in the back. and cheol jin directed "slum scandal" (instead of "gangnam scandal"). ^_^ was wondering what were the dramas that writer was supposed to have written? did anyone catch that?

Yes, of course! His kid will make sure he keeps his end of the deal

I was anxiously waiting to see who will win the deal, guessing that she won’t check beyond the kitchen... either way, they are stuck with each other for one month. I thought she won’t find the spoons, ended up providing him free tonkatsu, but halfway through he discovered the spoons belatedly and felt bad, returned the spoons and worked the remaining period of the one month... but, kid bringing out the spoons is good for me too

Haejin in Jin Sang's apartment looks like she hasn't showered in a week.  Okay, lady, you work around food.  You can't be a mess like this.

And why is a shower such a big deal?  Aren't Koreans a clean people?

finally, I noticed HJ was a little less greasy and dirty and more her charming self at the writer's place.

Just started watching this drama, always enjoyed the daily dramas even though they’re so frustrating! Was nice to see actors from Gangnam Scandal and A place in the sun

So far I absolutely can not stand that idiot Jin Sang! He’s so horrible treating his wife that way introducing her as his sister! Does he even call to check on his daughter haven’t seen him even asking about her what sort of father is he! Selfish and arrogant that’s what he is also a liar and manipulator. I mean if you don’t pass your exam for 6 years then maybe quit especially if you’re reading comic books instead of studying anyway. Also, how dare he cheat when his wife and child are at home he doesn’t even have a decency to come and see them.

Jin Sang family are absolutely atrocious treating Hae Jin like a slave looking down on her they need to seriously get a grip they can’t even earn themselves a living!

Hae Jin she is honestly an oblivious naive idiot, I mean it’s pretty obvious your husband is cheating wake up take off your pink glasses! Why else would he introduce you as his sister to his friends and make you leave instantly! He doesn’t love you start loving for yourself and your daughter instead of being a slave and being married to a guy that doesn’t even love you anymore and clearly doesn’t care. If she thinks that’s a normal relationship then that’s messed up. She also should start taking care of her appearance her hair always looks unwashed. Does she even care anymore? I mean what’s wrong with her. She seriously needs to start taking care of herself leave cheating husband move the hell away from his family and show them all how amazing she can be. I mean her daughter is smarter than her at this point.

Positive note Hae Jin mum is absolutely amazing love how she stands up for her daughter and says it how it is, giving that father in law a good earful!

I take it back.  Today, Haejin does look dirty and greasy at the writer's apartment.  Urgh, hers is not a restaurant I'd want to eat at, even if I ate pork.

I do not understand her at all.  I'm with her brother: nothing gets through to her.  She's scared to go see her husband, that's clear, because anyone else would have gone to see him, even for a 15 minute visit so he and the kid could have some time together, and she puts up with horrid treatment from his family - okay not as bad as Happy Sisters, but still - and keeps herself absolutely filthy.

The daughter is right, HJ is a maid, except a maid would shower and be tidy.

it's the problem with a lot of women, she wants to stay married to the man she married, frankly I do not think it's because of her daughter that she stays in this family, it's just she starts to be afraid, she does not want to end up without a husband, it's a shock to divorce sometimes even if we see it in a drama.
For the young husband, I must admit to being surprised to see him have sex with another woman, he pursued so much the female lead to have it while he could have other women the same age as him, in all case the actor who plays the young husband is really cute very beautiful, the brother is also very attractive, when the other man, we do not see much his story starts little by little, I wonder if he is sick

you know whats really sad is that she is actually very self-aware of the situation. in some other dramas, they are in some self-delusion that everything is rosy or they are sitting and weeping. here, she has accepted the situation to the point where she has given up on life. it is almost like she doesn't even care that she is being treated badly and just shrugs it off. however, it is more painful for the people who love her to stand back and watch.

hae jin doesn't care about herself -- hence her lack of push to be tidy or look good. it is really sad when a 6 year old feels compelled to protect you. she is the adult and she should be the one doing the protection. the person who feels like that adult safety is her uncle cheol jin and it was surprising to see the little one so excited. but as she says, her uncle feels like her dad whereas her dad feels like the uncle she meets from time to time. the kid already seems to know that she isn't that important to her father.

Well, that kiss escalates quickly... I am at loss for words to describe how I feel about Jin Sang. So here

am not surprised and I think it will be worse because he is going to actually fall in love with juri. without even knowing much about her, he is much more protective about her. with hae jin, it always felt like a conquest rather than love. what I am amazed is how he manages to look like a shining knight to these women who happen to be vulnerable in that moment. felt sorry for juri who seems to be feeling lost and feeling like no one in her family cares or misses her. so someone showing her a little bit of concern moves her so much that she makes the move. but that was in many ways, what happened with hae jin.

spot on. if she opened her eyes, she would realize the impact that this family is having on her daughter. her being treated as a maid not only devalues hae jin but also the daughter -- that is why the kid feels frustrated and is almost yelling to have her voice heard. in the kid's eyes, it is also a reflection about her importance in the family. if the mom has no value, then the daughter doesn't either. but hae jin is afraid of what life would be without a husband... it is funny that she is ferocious with the spoon thief writer but will not respond to retort to anyone in jin sang's family.

So, looks like HJ will let herself be fooled yet again next week, but, eventually, I’m guessing the crappy family will pass to the rich SBS family because that girl will probably get pregnant. I can’t see how anyone would ever let their daughter marry a loser like Jin-Sang otherwise. He can’t even graduate from college!

That’s why I was telling my wife, it will probably be her younger brother (drama director) that will discover Jin Sang’s escapades. It will get ugly at that point.

@rolisrntex ~ if cheol jin finds out first, then it will be really entertaining. unlike hae jin who believes whatever nonsense jin sang says, obviously that will not fly with cheol jin. in this ep, it was shown the mom is helping out hae jin despite cheol jin's knowledge. he clearly disapproves saying that mom should not help because that only enables hae jin to continue on. what do chingus think? is he right? or would it make any difference anyway?

what is really irritating to watch is how she interacts with writer spoon thief. she is clearly capable of standing for herself and asking sharp intuitive questions. so why does she allow jin sang and his family to take her for a ride? it isn't like she is dumb. yes, she may not want a divorce but it doesn't mean that she can't stand up for herself in subtle ways with jin sang's father and sister. she can remain married but still demand respect especially as she is the breadwinner. jin sang keeps acting like her lack of university education means she doesn't understand but surely she has seen bills. it would be simple enough to say "sure, send me the receipt first so I can keep a tally." part of me feels that in some level, hae jin would rather not know the details because it would be too heart breaking for her.

@tulip06 ~ it was telling the disdain the professor has for him. what exactly was he doing for 6 years while his juniors have passed out and gone on to working in civil service? most definitely, he is going to get this juri knocked up...

 Only in dramas that we see people give cash to other people. For me, give me the official bill with the account number and I shall transfer the money directly into that account :P

@ktcjdrama ~ this drama is weird because I am more annoyed with hae jin rather than jin sang. part of me feels that the only reason he is exploiting her is because he can. meaning he is not even that smart or manipulative enough to really pull the wool over her eyes. his behaviour is so obvious that even his 6 year old daughter knows he only comes home when he runs out of money. his mom-in-law knows it. his father and sister know it. it is an open secret and even hae jin knows it. so when someone willingly is an idiot, then what can one do except be exasperated like cheol jin who point blank said, "what's the point in talking to you?" so I am actually really looking to her falling to the pits. at this point, I don't even feel sorry for her. she obviously knows how to run a business and mange the bills and provide for household of 5 members by herself.

@Lmangla Yes I get frustrated at her too because she clearly asked the right questions. But I guess love is blind? Haha... it’s room for her character’s development. The poster is showing her dressed up sophisticatedly so I am guessing she will make it big later on in the culinary world. After all, we have >100 episodes.

I was so excited to see that the writer’s friend, and brother’s business associate is the brother of Ju Ri. He will be found out soon enough :naughty: Except that from the synopsis, she doesn’t want a divorce even after finding out?

@ktcjdrama ~ is she really in love with jin sang? it is hard for me to believe that a woman in love would accept being known as a sister to his friends....

as you mention the poster, I am seeing 3 faces that we haven't seen yet. wonder when they will be introduced.
