This mainland drama is just making me sooo happy.

 

The ML is so very good at presenting the very charismatic General and the FL is just adorable. 

 

I can't wait for the next eng subs!

This drama is enjoyable to me because of Caesar Wu and Tang Min chemistry

 

And it seems there will be a Season 2 but I don't know if it will be in the historical or modern period.

And if you want to watch another Chinese historical romance drama where the main male lead is a general, I invite you to watch THE SLEEPLESS PRINCESS after finishing General's Lady. Have you watch it?

 

The main male lead, Zheng Ye Cheng is one of my top favorite Chinese actor who has good acting skill. Same with the lovely main female lead, Hu Yi Xuan. And they have amazing chemistry together. If you had watch until final episode, don't forget to watch the epilogue too. They have cute happy ending!

Actually this drama end with happy ending but the greedy MangoTV want to earn more money on their apps from the viewers so they cut the happy ending and make it as the epilogue. I totally didn’t get it either. on IG, I read that it’s implying they were having too much newlywed sex....maybe they werent conceiving cuz they were doing it daily?? All conjecture...haha.

I am watching this right now.    Was waiting for this to finish airing and subs too. Some good dramas are going under the radar and the subs are released very slowly.  I heard great reviews of this drama and now I am really enjoying this one.

Omg!!! I have a super crush on the ML.  He is super cute.  And the pace of the drama is also good.  All misunderstandings resolved quickly.  I am on ep.8 right now.  I like the FL too.  

PS:. After reading some of the posts and reading the ML's name as Ceasar Wu, I realised he is one of the FB's in the meteor garden.  He did not attract as.much as Dylan.  But he is excellent general in this drama.  

Will watch the rest of the drama and give my views here.  But why is this drama underrated by the intl viewers?  Such a good one. Wow!!!!

I’m enjoying this and watching on YouTube but the uploads are really slow, only 4 episodes a week, so I watch some other drama in between and the momentum gets lost. I do not even realise that new episodes are available the following week, and where I stopped 

 

i must say I really hate the second Sister - ugly both inside and outside. Wonder if she is also hated in real life for this drama (sorry to be so mean, but to her credit, she must be doing a really good job in her role  )

I finished all the subbed 23 episodes.  Actually 4 subbed eps are released by yoyo English channel during the weekend.  If so, only 27 eps. with ST's will be released.  We have to wait another week for the finale 3 eps.

So far I liked the drama.  The pace is good.  Only thing is the writer/pd should have reduced the childish attitude of the FL.   Also,   I want to know why did the dr. Advised for them to sleep separately without making love?  Isn't it usual thing for the newly married.  Especially in their case even though it's an arranged marriage, but they fall in love and theirs should be more fast pacedonly then she getting preggy is assured.  Hehe.

Yeah, the 2nd sister Zi is the worst.  What exactly she received as punishment?  Is she being house arrested and will not be let outside?  Wow!!!! What a woman villain she is!!!!

As far as I know, YoYo English Youtube schedule is 1 ep per day, Friday-Monday at 8PM (20:00), 4 eps per week total.

Viki schedule is 1 ep per day, Saturday-Tuesday, subbing follows the posting of the episodes, but it is not on any set time due to volunteers. They sub as they have time. 

 

Ep. 24-27 to be released this week (Nov. 20-23/24)

Ep. 28-30 to be released next week (Nov. 27-29/30)

 

So all 30 episodes should be subbed by Nov. 29 on YoYo English YouTube.  Viki has been pretty consistent with this drama so far and usually has the episodes subbed in English within 4-7 days of upload, so if that continues Viki should have the episodes done by Dec. 6-7.

Is second sister Zi, stupid?  Third sister Jing is really foxy.  She just instigated second sister and what a fool she is to complaint about the marriage to His majesty himself not even discussing about it with the parents.    But why is the emperor not even giving chance to the Duke family to explain why the marriage was with Jin'er to general.   I am really curious as to the identity of the Dr.Hua, the deaf-mute guy in Rounan's village.  Really enjoying this show so much.  Will have to wait for the subs for the rest of the episodes.

I hate both sisters so much- but especially the second one. It really is unreasonable that the emperor wouldn’t even listen to them- but i guess it adds to the drama of the situation.

I watched the finale episodes and a very good closure for all plots.  I liked it very much.  I think there is a chance for a season2.  My wishful thinking.  Omg!!! the emperor and his eighth brother were funny.  But they did not show how the OTP from the sand dungeon escaped and were helped by Xiou Su.  Anyhow i liked how Xiouyan and Ruonan became the Emperor and Empress.  They deserved it and looked beautiful in that royal attire.  really look forward to season2, if there is one.
