@angelbeast90 In order to destroy that church, she definitely needs LSW and even maybe BSH's knowledge. LSW has never been at the church again indicating that he was somehow cutting ties with NLC, but not officially.

@angelbeast90 I don't think, she found the original book... she decided to play a trick to JHK.

 

Yes, it looks like YSH is KEH's father. The mother denied to have this kind of allergy. LSW caught KEH's mother and YSH together and realized that they knew each other. Moreover, the fact that his niece and KEH have both the same kind of allergy... LSW has already realized the father's identity.

 

A very touching scene was the conversation between LSW, HMS and DM. HMS cried, when he heard that KEH was suffering from partial amnesia. HE was sad because he said that due to the amnesia, he couldn't apologize to KEH and he had hoped, he could apologize.

 

LSW definitely told CYJ that he liked her but here I am not sure if he said that he liked her from the start.

 

The secret of KEH's mother: the identity of KEH's father (nobody knows)

 

And now, I am wondering if LSW's sister knew about that but since she had liked YSH for a long time, she decided to use her position to get him as husband. Remember that LSW's sister said to her brother that if she had to choose between her brother or her husband, she would choose her husband... and that's a clue that her love for him could be stronger than it looks like. And this would be her secret (nobody knows)

 

As you can see, the title is referring to secrets. Each person has a secret (nobody knows)

I think this episode was about seeing through the truth as it is instead of in perspective. The scene when KEH screams/wails why to both his mom and his friend, CYJ that he can't know what happened in the last month was dissonant to his usual, calm demeanor. Since he only holds the truth, CYJ can only tell him what she has detected so far. KEH's mom tells CYJ to stop to talk outside.The mom tells CYJ that she's only seeing things in her own perspective. And so, I love that they both go back inside together and CYJ apologizes to KEH for only seeing things in her perspective and wishes for him to focus on recovering. As viewers, we are sort of like KEH. We hold the truth, but we don't know it...yet

 

The dialogue between KEH and LSW parallels the opening scene. That he wishes to know what happened (the truth) instead of hearing a constructed story from conglomerated perspectives of other people. 

 

As for the car scene between EH's mom and LSW, I believe that it finally clicked in the mother's mind that EH probably knows who his father is. She had recalled that EH asked her about his allergy and she only learned from LSW that the condition is hereditary. Her hand hovered her mouth as if she was slightly shocked. I'm sure we haven't been shown a scene between EH and the mom yet. 

 

On a lighter note, I like the bond between the teenagers are growing tighter! It's so wholesome.

 

Lastly, where the characters stand in the drama poster defines where they are.

Is the Chairman EH's dad?? Since SW's niece and EH have the same trait reflex and it's hereditary. EH is a smart one to ask his mother that question. He must had realized who his father was after being in the park with SW and his niece. I did love the way EH's mom acted in front of HS. She was not having it.

 

Yes! Yes! Yes! EH hid the book in YJ's apartment. And I do love that she does not hold back in telling how he got injured. If he wants to know, tell him! EH doesn't care if it's good or bad memories, he wants them back.

 

Question: EH has only been in the hospital for a couple of weeks correct? And EH doesn't remember a whole month? That's why he told YJ that more than a month has passed?

I don't know why but JHK is bothering me a lot. Telling CYJ that even if she reveals the truth, nothing can be done, JHK shows one more time his passivity and his lack of empathy. His love for god has turned him into a blind and insensitive man and he doesn't realize it. All his love is for god and not for people in reality. He relies on god all the time and forgets that what saved KEH was KEH's will to survive and BSH's intervention. Does JHK know about the abuse? IF not, then he is to blame for that as he didn't pay attention to it. They were children. BSH definitely suffered abuse like the other children and BSH doesn't want his trauma to be known. Now, I am wondering if the pastor Kwon didn't commit sexual abuse on the kids due to the prayer. This is the prayer:

"When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

From my point of view, the Father mentioned first is "God", while the second is a different one: either SSW or the pastor and chairman Kwon. Why I thought of sexual abuse.... is due to the sentence in the prayer "go into your room, close the door". I have the impression that the children were asked to ignore what was happening next to them, they should "pray", while in one of the rooms, a children could be sexually abused. It is clear that SSW brainwashed them and used violence in order to force them to learn the book by heart.

 

Then I don't know why but I am wondering if the children were not used for an illegal organ traffic. We heard that one of the minions have some health issues with his kidneys and needs a transplant. Then in the preview, the child sitting in the wheelchair looks like BSH as a child and it is making me wonder if one of his organs was removed. Furthermore, SSW said that the victims wished a miracle that is rebirth, life without sickness. Back then, I took these words as an allusion of paradise... But what if these words had a different meaning? What if thanks to the organ transplants, some people would be able to live longer? 

 

SJ was not the real target but CYJ... the perpetrator saw SJ as unqualified. What kind of qualifications did CYJ have? I guess, CYJ was an orphan, whereas SJ was a child surrounded by a loving family. SSW said that to him, the persons killed were unhappy... what if they had been suffering from neglect or abuse and SSW knew about it due to the confessional? It was a secret and he used it.

When this show started I really strongly disliked Juung Soyeon for neglecting he child Ko Eunho! At one point I wanted he parental rights taken away and CYJ given that right!!! But a mother is always a mother as CYJ said. It's kind of ironic that this fall of Eunho has woken up her motherly instincts again. I hope it just not instinct but she will protect her son from the coming storm just as CYJ does. I liked how she shut down Chairman HeeSeob and was not willing to be used again.

 

@bebebisous33Wow she must be really that girl in the photo then.That means she must have been a child of that NLC! I wonder how she got out of that New Life Church. Also I understand now why she was broken . I hope she becomes strong for her child. I feel CYJ's bravery is influencing her to be brave too.

That flashback of BSH praying and that prayer was a very twisted one and I agree with what you said. I almost cried no don't show child abuse on TV. Thank god the camera cut to BSH stunned face in the car!

Also  is the show going to tell that JKH  thinks that KEH birthright is be the leader of NLC!! EDIT: Is this the reward JKH is talking about to KEH!!!

 

This show is making me look at each frame/props intently for clues that might be used later.

Actually, my daughter has similar reaction to the sun. But not looking into the light. As long as she first steps into direct sunlight, she will sneeze, then it won't happen again throughout the day. More evident when she was much younger, does not happen every time now that she is a teenager.

- LSK, LSW's sister

- YHS ... he had no idea that KEH was his son, until he met KEH's mother in LSW's presence. YHS has another secret.

- JHK

- Kwon

- the white-haired man who has been playing many sides (JHK, YHS and BSH)

- NLC... the organization

 

@angelbeast90 Yes, no wonder she reacted that way. The prayer was always about "Father", hence once the father (YHS) abandoned her, she felt lost. The mother was irrelevant in the prayer that's why CYJ's words "You are KEH's mother and you will always be his mother" must have triggered something in her. That's why she was clinging to her boyfriends... she thought, she could not live on her own without a man by her side.

Loved how they depicted KEH waking up. CYJ apartment and the plants is his safe place and his brain took him there to dwell peacefully until the real world came in collapsing into his happy place!

Someone pointed out that BSH's female partner in this drama is actually his real wife in real life. Love how they act with each other though. He was watching National Geographic I think where lions are hunting it's prey and he was talking about eat or be eaten. His wife said what are we. His reply is we are animals who eat or be eaten!!

 

Also he wants to blow the world up! and His partner say KEH must wake up for peace on earth!

 

These two have philosophical topics to discuss all the time! heh! Interesting!!

About BSH and this philosophy: he makes no difference between human and animal. I am not surprised that his mind-set is inspired by social darwinism as it was already pointed out in the first or second episode (his speech). Only the stronger can survive... Many people decided to use this theory developed by Darwin and applied it in the human world, especially in the 20th Century. National-socialism has been influenced by social darwinism. BSH thinks that only money can give you power because with money, it is possible to have people worked for you. He created his own network in order to become powerful. Money and people are the powers BSH uses for his own "survival" and to give "justice". I am not surprised that he enjoys such documentaries as he sees as a confirmation of his own belief.

 

He was told that he would be saved and I am quite sure that he believed it, when SSW appeared for the first time. Imagine the betrayal, when he realized that he escaped from one hell to go to another hell. His so called savior was in reality another torturer. He is still traumatized as we could see it in the car and in another episode, when he had a nightmare. I am quite sure that BSH still can not sleep. And all this proves to me that despite his power and thirst for blood, he is still caught in his past. His only salvation will come, when NLC's secret is revealed and NLC is destroyed.

I've seen other drama's where the mother gives the child to her mother to start a new family. So far she has kept her child with her to his 15th birthday. I don't want Chairman Yoon to have the upper hand on this matter even though it looks that way citing her emotional neglect towards him.

YHS will never fight for his son's custody as he has hidden his past relationship to LSW and LSK, although I am inclined to think that LSK must have known about this. My reason is: the mother used to belong to that church NLC and she was the little girl on the left.

CYJ has never seen this picture and it would helped her greatly, if she saw it because she would connect BSH, DH, YHS and LSK together.
