Things are getting intense from the looks of it. So much for saying " I will watch it over the weekend". I went ahead and binge watched The Lies Within which I don't regret lol. Now, if only I get the time to catch up with this drama, that would be great......

@Fabbo,I agree that it would take time for SY to break the psychological fear that she has towards her husband when he appears before her.
 

Years ago I used to watch a tv network called Lifetime (their slogan was Television for Women) and almost every movie they showed was either a real life story or loosely based on a real life story about abused women who either died at the hands of their abusive husband or managed to escape from their abusive husband through intervention from groups who help abused women and their children escape their husbands and start a new life. However, whether the wife actually survived or not, there always came a point when those women began to fight back. SY needs to come to that point of determination if she wants to escape her psychotic husband.

 

@imgreatgal, since I saw Enough I always think of that movie when I watch stories with abusive husbands. I thoroughly enjoyed Jennifer Lopez’s beat down of that husband after she sought help with a self defense instructor who showed her tactics to use to defend herself. Remember men are stronger so it was interesting for me to watch how he advised her to deal with different scenarios.

Yes. Give me FIve. I watched  the weekends drama "The Lies within" too. It was an awesome drama. Really worth watching it.

 

For 9.9 Billion latest ep, there were two best parts that i enjoyed most :

1. The lift scene - two men struggling to go into it while SY just simply push away the men to let the lift closed it - what an ingenious way to do it. I was laughing so hard after watching it. Oh Yes, the staircase step sound faked by the husband, it was a mind game, or rather a cat-and-mouse game........ it was so intense, love it. The writer did it in such a different approach, what a surprise to the audience...

 

2. The plot that shown SY with Oh Dae-Yong while waiting to meet the gangster Kim Do-Hak, when he heard that Kang Tae-Woo was still alive on the phone, he was quick enough to make a change before Kim step in...what a smart move. I love that part too.

 

The suspense part revolving :

1. The conversation between Seo Min-Gyu and ML's brother Kang Tae-Hyun (who died on car crash) - he knew that his brother did a background check on him....is Seo Min-Gyu an undercover? yet to find out...

 

2. The past history of betrayal between Yoon Hee-Joo and Jang Geum-Ja storyline...and her father's foundation business....yet to see....

 

3. ML's brother Kang Tae-Hyun said "My target is much stronger and more dangerous" - who is "HE"? yet to discover....

 

Wow,  a door lead to open another door, i love pyramid approach to lead audience to the climax.......waiting for more revelation for next ep....

I knew that he will do it.   It is an old trick, even kids will think to do it. I remember a similar scene in the cartoon Silly Symphony The Three Little Pigs. But it was an intense scene. I like that Seo Yeon waited for the elevator to open and then she went out.

Ms Jang said that she went broke and lost her child because and she accused Yoon Hee Joo that she tricked her (when she become the chairwoman of the fundation). It will be interesting to see the new dynamic with this new character. He will want to take his fortune back. Hee joo will have more to do in this show. I think this new character or Yoon Ho Sung framed Tae Woo. The later is on my suspect list as nr one. We`ll see.

Oh i like the old actress, Ms Jang that looked wicked and evil, she is the most eye-catching one in this drama...a supporting role yet an "Unforgettable" one. Very impressive !!!!

Her clenched hand after the stroke (illness) , her facial expression, the way she expectorated  in front of old man Yoon Ho Sung, and her wicked voice made us dislike her at first but she could be the "salvage" peron for SY in the end.... Wow, she portrayed so well on this role, it made her outshine the rest. 

 

PS : i hope to see how Black bear or Oh Dae-Yong help SY to clean the dirty money and turn into white. I want to see the process. I only see the trolley bag full of money has been moving in and out....LOL

It was in the beginning of the ep 9, when they explained what happened with Tae Woo three years ago, why he has the nightmares.

 

Tae Woo was with his team to arrest "that man" but they did not get the warrant. He, impulsively, called them cowards and left himself to catch the bad guy. Only one young man came with him and he later died (I assumed). That`s why he has nightmares about that night.

The young man said that he gave them a tip about the bad guy and Tae woo said that he was the third generation only son. Maybe that  man was Jang`s son. (I don`t know why he was a cop and his mother doing illegal business but .... it is not imposible). It is possible that that young man was her son.   Him or the big man in a fur, the one who said  to Tae woo, estúpido (in spanish). 

 

Another clue... Oh Dae-Yong asked Seo Yeon if Tae woo knows that she has connection with Ms Jang, that he would not like it.Tae Woo knows Ms Jang, he had an encounter with her son in the past (I am sure). Ms Jangs said that she lost a son. It is more likely that he was that man who died. Despite the bad blood between Ms Jang and Tae Woo, it make sense that she will help when our protagonist will fight the big bad.

Another clue... Yoon Ho-Sung asked Ms Jang for help because "that man"  is coming back. Why she would want to help if not they have a mutual interest?

 

Three years ago, Tae woo wanted to catch a big baddie but he failed. We know that at least five people commited suicide, they defrauded people for over 300 millions dollars. One young man died, Tae Woo was framed. That man (we don`t know his name yet) left the country (I assume), Ms Jang had bad luck and went broke, Yoon Hee-Joo took the foundation, Yoon Ho-Sung continue to be succesful in his business, Mr Kim took the Korean illegal gambling business from his boss.

 Now he wants to return. He was the boss then but there are a lot of people who were in dirty business with him, included, Yoon Ho Sung and his daughter. Things will get more complicated. Let see what happens next.

@lebeaucouple, I don’t find Ms. Jang look evil and wicked.  I just think she looks like someone who rolled around with dirty people and know dirty people. I just love that the actress is playing such a different role to the ones I’ve watched her play this year. She was the mom in Melting Me Softly, the teacher in Encounter and the cop mom in My Fellow Citizens. Somehow her character seems like one who would appear in a Charles Dickens novel. The expectorating on the floor included.  Anyway, I just hope she proves to be a formidable character. She has a potty mouth, seems suspicious of everyone but the fact that Hee Joo outsmarted her is interesting. Either she really trusted Hee Joo or Hee Joo is simply smarter if indeed the scheme was Hee Joo’s idea and not someone else’s.

 That makes sense. Seo Yeon wanted to escape the abuse from home and she wanted to get married quickly. She was unlucky because she end up with another abuser. And he is wost. Maybe Hong In-Pyo became crazy after they lost the baby but I am sure he always have been unstable mentally.

Ep6 ended showing Hee-Joo deep in thoughts and Seo Yeon walking towards HJs family and spoke to the daughter?Why the emphasis on this "happy" family dinner? And earlier MsJang in a horrible vengeful mode towards HJ.

 

Just wondering whts their connection? Is Yuri Kim Seok's or "that man's" daughter? HJ marrying KS so far appears more like a marriage of convenience.

 

Earlier we saw MsJang was in a horribly vengeful mode towards HJ.

 

Cannot understand SY. After how KS reacted when money ws in his possession, she still has the heart to meet him?

New innovative technology is always good for us, it will benefit us only if we use it wisely, otherwise, it will work against us.

 

For this drama, indicating the gambling websites, or virtual gaming sites, I doubt the writer will give more details in explaining how the criminals "clean" the money into usable, and untraceable one. The storyline may spend more time focusing on different parties interlinked their story and going after the missing money .....
