In the meantime, they have given me a very big headache with their CFs updates  At this point, I just expect more CF update tomorrow. Whether SYJ decides to make an instagram post tonight or even tomorrow, who knows. It isn't end of SK June 13 day yet.

I agree. We are I think back to digging and solving again and again the not so mystery anymore that is BinJin. Let's move forward, shall we? We have 800+ pages of dissecting done so let's re-read the previous pages and not keep repeating the same theories that were discussed so many times before. Please let's hold off spamming the thread with the same content that was discussed already. Anyway, if my post kind of offend anyone, Mianhae.

@Choisamsook yup very certain he saw Be With You. He knew she was filming that after TN. Plus he has seen SITR.

 

I think that is what I will do today in terms of watching. Watch Be With You again (even more for the 4 leaf clover moments. There is soo many 4 leaf clovers in this). No wonder it is still fresh in his memory LOL. Plus watch The Negotiation again (got to bring back the feels of their monitor acting chemistry )

WHAT IT'S ABOUT:

A paragliding mishap drops a South Korean heiress in North Korea - and into the life of an army officer, who decides he will help her hide.

 

WHAT WE THOUGHT:

I recently, as in last week, discovered the world of Korean dramas, and to say I am obsessed is an understatement. I am now a card-carrying member of the Kdrama club.

 

Crash Landing on You is something truly special and it's no surprise that it is the one of the highest rated cable dramas.

 

What makes it so special, you ask? Well, it has a couple of things going for it.

 

The lead actors Son Ye-jin who plays Yoon Se-ri and Hyun Bin as Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok sizzle together on screen; their chemistry is palpable. While the story of star-crossed lovers isn't a novel idea, the politics of an inter-Korean love story, on the other hand, adds a different layer.

 

When we first meet Se-ri, she is very unlikable, nicknamed the 'Picky Princess' she thinks her wealth and privilege allows her to treat people in a certain way. As the series develops and you get to know her character better, you soon learn that there are reasons why she is the way she is and that it's just a protective wall, beneath her veneer is a scared, lonely woman. Through the series, her character evolves. What I enjoyed about her evolution is that it was a gradual and believable process.

 

Ri Jeong-hyeok is the leading man I never knew I needed. As far as romantic male leads in dramas go, his character is damn near perfect. This man holds a candle in a dark marketplace for Se-ri to see when she gets lost, he grinds and roasts coffee beans just to make her a cup of coffee, he packs things in a cupboard on shelves that are easy for her to reach, he takes a bullet for her and even sneaks into a country to protect her. And that's not all. He uses his privilege for good too; he is a woke bae!

 

Each episode has a running time of 70 - 110 minutes which allows for the storylines and characters to be fleshed out, but the drama doesn't take itself too seriously, as it also pokes fun at Korean drama tropes, which the series itself employs. At the end of each episode, there's an extended scene which is either a flashback or a 'hidden scene' giving viewers an extra look.

 

It's not just a love story, there are twists and turns, suspense and some really cool action scenes with martial arts sequences that even non-romance fans will enjoy. 

 

The cinematography is beautiful from the majestic mountains in Switzerland to snapshots of life in North Korea, which was filmed in South Korea and Mongolia.

 

The supporting cast is endearing. Captain Ri's army unit and the women in the North Korean village where Se-ri takes refuge provide a lot of the comic relief. The villains, a corrupt army official and Se-ri's brother and sister-in-law, are as evil as they come, and turn out memorable performances.

 

Another must mention is the soundtrack, the Korean pop, R&B tracks and classical pieces complement the storytelling.

 

For the past week, I was engrossed in the lives of  Se-ri and Ri Jeong-hyeok - never have I rooted so much for a fictional couple and their love story. Fans of romance drama will fall in love with this story; it hits all the right notes and is the perfect escape from our reality right now.

 

PS. Guess if she has convert to BINJIN Nation? the writing style really like a shipper. Lively and Passionate

I am doing a little Binnie "after work" with my 3 cans of beer and a little Jinnie "spacing out on the sofa" while reading the thread. While some are still busy tallying who's who, I'm cracking my brain some more thinking..... what could have been Pyo Chi Su's acceptance speech if he won?  Aren't you curious? I bet he would be thanking these 2 so much for the support. We have heard him expressed his gratefulness for these A-listers for letting him do retakes when he believed he could do more in a scene.

 

At this point in my shipping game, I care more to know that they are generous with their time and talents. I'm happy with the fact that they aren't sitting on their laurels. That's a sign that they are grounded. IMO, as far as this ship is concerned, those tally sheets can stay in the vault coz the people we stan doesn't care.  

 

Sigh. Just look at these 2. 

 

 

And like a camera, I pan my eyes to my right and saw my CLoY fan of a cat, perched peacefully on a pile that reminded me..... of laundry. Sigh. He pulled me right back to reality just when I am entering delulu.  

 

P.S He's still upset CLoY didn't win at Baeksang. I dare not cross him.

@Walk Kindly lols!! I agree with you!! it’s so freakin hard not to ship them, seriously. Let assume your just bored and decided to give cloy a try coz most of your friends watch it. After you got hoked with the series Of course you Curious, so you search her on instagram, then you found HB pictures,  7 of it with cute filter And you were like what the heck! Then you go to youtube search for the BTS and you were like huh?? And there you go.. a lively and passionate article. Lols!

I don't know why people keep dragging me into things lol. Literally the last two pages have been about the Sept 3 TN video and people were analyzing about it including binjindiary video bringing it back up in their latest video about manner hands. I literally even said at the beginning of my post that I didn't know why people were still trying to find receipts. HB even keeps saying TN is in the past. We shouldn't keep analyzing stuff from back then lol. We already can see where their relationship is post CLOY. If you think there is something wrong with my post, just DM me instead. Stop causing unnecessary tension in here for no reason. (I have already made changes to the small part that is the reason I am being tagged in for)

 

This is also a TN centric month. Next week is when they officially had started filming the movie.

Does he look a little drunk in sort of wrap up night? I don't think he would drink in between filming. Other shipper told me his costar HJM is supposed to start promoting his new movie out in July. They have filmed for about 2 months since Apr 17. Bargaining was expected to take 4 months of filming. It seems that their filming plan in SK goes smoothly.
