Hahaha! Thank you  My friends gave me the nickname because they know I can't help myself. I used to write about men and women's fashion (sounds fancier than it is) and I completely agree that menswear can be really dull; anything on the opposite end of that spectrum can make guys look like they're trying too hard. HB's stylist always manages to add just a little edge, that extra detail that sets him apart from the crowd.

I LOVE how she has this extra detail, so simple yet so exquisite that added the extra touch to her whole look. I also wonder what heels she was wearing. I notice as she walked up the steps to accept the award, it was super high heels!! And HB was looking down at it as she steps up, like wanting to make sure she is OK.

LOL!! Love your ID and I also love Edna from The Incredibles. One of my MOST favorite movie (not just fav animated movie). She was kick-as$!  I must say I agree with your observation. In recent years especially, HB's fashion style has really stood out in all the events he goes too, and like you say, just have that extra detail which makes him different from the rest. Even in last year's Baeksang he looked so unique in the all-black outfit.

Although voting for the duo, this was exactly my thought and I’m not surprised many people felt the same. I felt like the awards were intentionally spreaded out to all dramas so that each of them can be recognised for something, as if overall this is to praise the efforts of all dramas in bringing joy/ relaxation to the public in these hard times. Even the atmosphere of the ceremony was pretty serious like some of you mentioned. While voting for HB/SYJ, I thought “the committee better comes up with their choices already and not let this popularity vote affects their decisions.” But we don’t know what happened behind the scene. Also when I watched the results coming out I felt this is so similar to Trump-Hillary Clinton presidential election, in the way that the general public is totally surprised with the outcomes of the awards. Any fans from the US can relate to this?

 

Just like many of you my heart is slightly broken by the outcomes. However on the silver lining I know this will be one of the motivations for HB and SYJ, as humbled actors they are, to participate in more thrilling projects and fine tune their acting skills even more to bring us many wonderful dramas/ movies. I also find solace in the interactions between HB and SYJ. The hesitance (as opposed to the big hugs between Kim Hee Ae and Park Hae Jun) showed me that they have something more than a colleague relationship, and the occasional glances of sharing comfort showed me they have been always in touch and are together “for better or worse”. I’m glad I get to witness these moments. As a fan of HB since 2005 and SyJ since the Classics, I’m also rooting for a HE for them. Let’s not forget that a king/queen made by his/her fellow citizens is truly the leader of the people.

Which just happened to look perfectly matched to his other half. Clearly couple matching, which I am not sure "just friends" would have done. I thought their clothes and looks clearly said "we are a couple on and off screen." Felt like the worst kept secret in the room, although 100% professional.

When many lose hope with Binjin. Im just laughing. Some people even said that HB was so cold towards YJ, what do you expect from them? Kissing on the stage or hugging? First of all, you must understand the situation and the atmosphere in South Korea or I can even say around the world, we are fighthing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Just because some fans want a solid prove they are dating (assumption), they have to really show it? We already knew both of them are senior in the industry and they know the best how the industry work. They are wise enough not to let their private life overshadow the event itself.

 

This is my two cent, if they really 'break-up', one of them will not come to the event. Yeah, rational thinking who want to meet their ex especially at the big event when all eyes are on them. And who want to steal a glance at your 'ex partner'. Fuhhh..

 

To me, you can ship whoever you want, but please just dont over do it. You will just hurt your own feeling by doing so. 

 

Until then, Im still very happy for them and praying they are made for each.

I like that idea. I'm currently watching oh my baby. This drama is focus on adult problem in their late 30-early 40s. In case Hyunbin and Yejin still get the opportunity to do a project together I hope they will take something similar like this. It can be romcom/horror/melodrama/seriousrom which suit their age.

We wanted today to be about CLOY and BINJIN but instead it was ABOUT US AND BINJIN ACKNOWLEDGING US....Hyun bin was saying he can't give us any award back but what we got today is NO LESS THAN ANY AWARD....I loved how he menioned about computers and cellphones from where we voted.....I loved how syj acknowledged both Koreans and int fans...I loved how they kept a tab of the votes the way we did and worked eve. Hard the next day to get the gap higher.

Oh! On another topic... This man was beyond handsome last night! He did look kinda tired (his filming schedule), but still he was shining! I skipped a breath when I saw him!   One of his best looks ever in my many years as his fan. I love his new haircut/ his hairstyle last evening.
 

I feel sad that he didn’t won the best actor award... but many around the world we are supporting him and we loved his performance in CLOY... one of his best!

 

And SYJ was truly beautiful... Looking at her, I remembered his Swoon compliment,... he wrote something about not holding back her beauty and she was stunning!

I don't understand why people are commenting on them looking awkward together on cam. HAHA..

 

Yejin as you guys know is very friendly. In fancams with Jung Hae In in last year's award show, they were smiling and laughing at each other, she touched his arm to tell him something and even took a selfie at one point. We all know Yejin is by nature bubbly and somewhat affectionate.

 

During some parts of baeksang though, you see HB looking at her laughing etc.  But since there is so much fanfare and speculation around her and Hyun Bin, they have to tone it down in front of the cameras. Isn't that what we expected though? A tap to the shoulder or a simple glance is blown out of proportion when it could  just be a natural gesture.  At this point, they had to deny their relationship 3-4 times already. The attention on them right now is kinda like BRANGELINA (back in the day) and that's without admitting anything. Imagine what happens if they actually admit, they'll be the BRANGELINA (at their peak) of not just KOREA BUT ASIA. 

 

They are actors that are very passionate about their jobs. Usually when their personal life is revealed to the public, it can overshadow their work. I don't think they work 3-8 months on a project just for it to be overshadowed by questions on their personal lives. In korea especially, they are very conservative and these things can be considered "scandals' that impact their films or tv work. That's why a lot of korean megastars remain single (at least in the public's eyes, but may actually have partners. there are some who don't even say they are married until the media catches on) and make a conscious effort to keep their personal lives personal. On top of that, those who go public usually breakup. We all know where SYJ stands cause she's never had a "scandal" in her 20 years. 

As for me though, the way I see HB & SYJ's, there's no need to overanalyze things (as I noticed some people tend to do) to find proof. They say that usually the simplest reason is the right one. More  than those CLOY BTS or interviews (actors can be extra friendly for to promote their work so i try to not read into those things), it's really the grocery pictures. These two people were spotted in LA doing groceries together. They met up NOT in korea but abroad to do something very domestic. IT'S AS CLEAR AS DAY in my eyes. Hahaha.

I don't think they'll ever confirm anything (unless they decide to tie the knot) and it's actually better for both their careers and whatever kind of relationship they have. Let's take the simplest reason for doing grocery shopping with a "buddy' abroad and leave it at that. I urge us not to respect their privacy as well by not overanalysing or speculate too much (like when they'll get married and things like that) without basis. Let's just take it for what it is and not add anything. Just enjoy the moment and be happy.

I really wish them success in both their personal live and careers. I'm so excited for their future projects especially on the heels of CLOY's WORLDWIDE SUCCESS. This is really such an exciting time for them career wise!

I watched the whole show today and I really feel like something is a bit ''off'' (I've seen all of their previous video's/interviews etc). I feel their behaviour was quite unusual, especially Hyun Bin seemed very aloof.. 
For example, when SYJ was a bit confused which way to get up the stage, his face expression was annoyed/upset to me Overall very awkward. When you compare this behaviour with how he smiled when Seo Dan got the prize, you can clearly see the difference (this also means that he wasn't upset or something during the whole award show, he was only cold like this to SYJ). 

 

And I don't think that keeping the distance because of COVID has anything to do with it, because in the TikTok video they also stood closely next to each other (and also when shooting the group photos for the the official Baeksang Instagram page) , so I think SYJ could easily grab Hyun Bin by his arm when walking up the stage.  

 

I don't even think ''close friends'' act so cold as Hyun Bin did today. What do you guys think ?  I'm afraid it didn't work out between them or that Hyun Bin is in love with someone else
