Newbie here, and like most of you, I got bitten by the BinJinfluenza bug (thanks to CLOY), and have been feverishly obsessed with all things related ever since! I'm afraid that until a vaccine becomes available, AKA public sightings of H & S holding hands while picking groceries, mechanically fanning one another's faces after a long day of golf, spoon-feeding each other ice cream etc. (although I suppose a plain solid old dating announcement would also suffice ), I may need to rely on the contents of this forum to mitigate my on-going symptoms... which include headaches and insomnia due to lack of new BinJin content and wedding announcements. 

 

Geez, I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched those BTS clips while psychoanalyzing every micro-expression and gesture to fit my "they TOTALLY have the hots for one another" narrative, lol. That is, in addition to listening to CLOY's OST 24/7 to relive all those swoon-worthy RiRi moments, and frantically refreshing YJ's Instagram for updates every 2.5 minutes, hoping she'll surprise us with another million-likes-worth image of them two.

 

After all, YJ seems to really enjoy using HB's face to decorate her Instagram feed... it's no secret that no other male companion, costar or otherwise, occupies nearly as much real estate as Binnie! I mean, surely her Hermès bags are jealous of the lack of exposure. HAHA But alas, who can blame her? Binnie's good looks are far beyond words... we can only aspire to describe his ineffable beauty, which YJ so candidly attempts to do with her comment about his "silky hair and smooth skin that all women want", although we all know she wants more than just that.

I kept panicking during this scene, wishing they'd hurry the heck up before some NK soldier spotted them, but she literally just stepped over some barbed wire? LOL

 

Anyway, back to the kiss.. our Capt. couldn't keep all those pent up emotions inside any longer and went in for the kill. Such a nice little departure from his usual phlegmatic self. You may recall during one of the firsts of their many goodbye scenes, a teary-eyed Seri had asked him if she could get a hug, but was given a whole big nothing-burger and a measly handshake instead, LMAO. Poor Seri... but at least he made up for it and then some with that border kiss! I also wonder why it was HB's favorite scene (beyond what said publicly, of course)! One can only guess, but at the very least, it reveals that Binnie is a romantic at heart, even though he has claimed in a prior interview that he isn't. Or perhaps he wasn't in the past, but a certain someone has turned him so. 

 

P.S. Gosh, that Namgil-Hyunbin interaction at the 55th Baeksang Awards kills me every time. That awkward halfhearted pat on the back ahahaha! Come on, Hyun Bin, I get that you're love rivals and all, but you're a better actor than that!

Happy to read the new article on Ye Jin. It is surprising to see so little media play by her agency even after such a successful drama therefore the new article is welcomed.
 

I like how classy, low key, unassuming and grounded Ye Jin is. I recalled reading an interview where she shared that to her parents, she is just an ordinary daughter who does the housework at home and they seldom talk about her work or movies at home. Think we can all strive to be classy like Ye Jin herself who just let her works and others like her peers, colleagues or industry experts do the talking for her. 

Would like to say something about the recent storms seen in this thread. Having joined this thread at page 38, I had seen this thread gone through many storms including 2 lockdowns by Soompi moderators and it is sad that some shippers have either left the thread or are no longer actively posting.
 

We need to be aware that Binjin shippers come from a wide spectrum. Majority are also fans of SYJ or HB individually while some are also fans of the exes. As such, there is a good reason for the rule not to discuss ex boyfriends or ex girlfriends whether confirmed or alleged here. It is to avoid infighting amongst shippers or shippers feeling unhappy with potentially insensitive comments as it is inevitable that discussions would lead to comparisons which would often lead to unfavourable or potentially insensitive comments about the exes or our couple.  

 

Some shippers may be unsettled or start doubting along with the rumours of exes or other people surfacing that rock the ship and wanted some discussions with fellow shippers to have some clarification or reassurances. I have seen many patient shippers here who are willing to provide clarifications and reassurances so let us be a little more accommodating of such posts looking for clarifications and reassurances as long as it abides by Soompi rules. 
 

Patient shippers would also lose their patience to see the same topic being brought up again and again even after clarifications. So people should make the effort to backread to see if the topic (like the recent rumours) had been previously discussed and clarified before posting or alternatively dm some shippers to ask or discuss so that this thread is not filled with postings of the same topic again and again.

As for the content, we need to be aware that this is a public forum with lurkers who may take content from this thread to repost onto other social media. I had personally seen this happened to my post. I guessed that could be what had happened in the case of the rumours with the ex where a few fans speculated amongst themselves about the so called clues as fans tend to do which was then picked up by various sites and media. So let’s exercise some care and caution on the content posted here. 

One sided posts that seek to glorify individual achievements of one half of the couple while often undermining the other half with misguided comparisons  would often lead to some shippers especially fans of the other half feeling uncomfortable and/or unhappy so such posts may be better suited and appreciated in the individual actress or actors thread. 

After the last lockdown, some shippers had also taken it upon themselves to remind others especially new joiners to follow Soompi rules like not quoting images or videos to avoid another lockdown which could be permanent the next time it happens.

 

While well meaning when we act to remind each other of Soompi rules or the content posted in this thread,  we should also strive to be always polite and considerate with our requests or reminders. This includes myself and I do sincerely apologise for those times when I was triggered and harsh in my posts. In addition, as some had suggested, perhaps we can try to dm the person to remind or seek clarification rather than posting a response or clicking report on the post.
 

Let us also not be too quick or hasty to assume that anyone who bring up certain issues that throw doubts on the ship is a troll or anti shipper. They may sincerely want to have some clarification or reassurances. I believe majority who join this thread are genuine shippers with very few who are really trolls as there is really no monetary gain  from posting in this thread. 

Last but not least, I would like to thank active shippers who have been keeping this thread going with their positive energy and vibes. To the shippers who have left or are no longer actively posting, please do consider coming back or dropping by the thread to post or even just to say hello whenever you feel like it or when we have new content coming up like the Baeksang Awards. We have missed all of you.
 

Special shoutout to new shippers who had joined later but still made the efforts to backread. Particularly impressed by the amazing shippers who can even list the pages to find the specific topics. Wow!

I mentioned a few pages back of my suspicions that Vast & MSTeam might be working in tandem in regards to OTP. Do you think they provided similar worded response/information to the journalists when they were contacted prior to the articles about OTP being written?
