I think there has been some confusion about what the ahjumma said at the wrap up party, whether she was implying that HB and SYJ didn't have to act because they are in love. It was cleared up at some point in this thread (a couple of times I think) and the conclusion was that she actually said the ahjummas themselves didn't have to act because Captain Ri is so handsome (she also mentioned Sam Sook in the speech). This makes the most sense to me because the actresses who play the ahjummas (just like YKW and KJH) would not want to out HB and SYJ in public for a number of reasons, first probably being that it would be very unprofessional.

I’m not sure now which one is accurate anymore lol...I only saw a tweet once where it says that the ahjummas say about HB and YJ doesn’t have to act.Now I’m confused lol And it was in that 101 vid of BinJin too...everyone who knows korean should honestly help us

One of them, a master student in Seoul, is an avid fan of CLOY and love Hyun Bin very much, and all of them are Kdrama enthusiasts. I mean, I think most Koreans watch Kdramas, that's why they are very popular in their country and are a big part of their economy. It's easy to listen (understand) and read Hangul/ Hangeul but pronunciation and diction is another story. I find speaking very hard because there are quite a few honorifics and grammar rules to consider but I am getting there. If BINJIN end up getting married and if by then, I am in my advanced Korean, I would be happy to teach you for free haha

Lol, I just commented exactly the same re: GSJ has limited scenes with Binjin compared to PCS. In regards to the ahjummas, it has been established several pages back that they didn’t actually tease Binjin at the wrap up party. They were teasing HB and said they didn’t need to act to be swooned over by RJH because they were already swooned over by HB’s handsomeness and coolness

LOL but it is true...PCS was basically always with BinJin...so if we want to trust somebody statement,it should be him.

That would be great! I'm taking your word for it. All I want is to be able to have reading fluency so that I can translate the write ups and understand the drama without multitasking.  Being able to speak the language is a plus. My sister loves SOKOR spending several weeks there for vacay every year. I think she is a shipper, too, coz why would she send me the manuals for that above reason. Maybe she has adapted to the nature of Koreans being reserved about Hallyu fascination. Bless her heart.

My Korean friends like BINJIN and RIRI couple too and crazy about CLOY. They get very excited talking about the drama but I think they are generally restrain when it comes to engaging in celebrities dating rumors/ personal lives, or maybe because they are not a part of younger Kdrama/ Kpop fans demographic that's often more keen and shameless on fangirling. The women in our conference room are in mid to late 30's and early 40's.

We already talked about the "wedding cake" that was at the cloy wrap party but the story behind the cake is pretty funny. Apparently something happened and the main cake got messed up or something hahaha  It looks like something got pulled off every tier. HB's fanclub came through though

Because they cannot stay apart. End of discussion. They knew it was a risky, they know K-ent, and it was maybe a bad idea, but they did it anyway. To be together for a while "breathing the same air," as HB said. Could he be any more in love given his wording so much of the time? That's how being head over heels works--you don't care what sounds responsible. Nope, you take big risks. Because being together is all that matters.

I think you're right, maybe that the reason.

 

But I think, maybe there is another reason given they are outstanding artist with excellent professionalism, and always wholeheartedly doing their job.

Maybe - I think - what they were trying to do with CLOY is making a masterpiece together. 
they know they can do the masterpiece worth their entire life if they work together while "breathing the same air".

Maybe they thing CLOY is their last chance, because it seems that married couple actor (or just couple) in SoKor cannot work together in the same movie/drama. such a pity, isn't it?

Wow! I have been out for a day and hurriedly wanting to log in and read good news about BINJIN.  Reading your insightful views and opinions broaden my ideas and explains more on some observations I had while watching CLOY, for I lost track  how many times.  I can see how deep their love for each other.  If you notice their eyes and Jin acted differently in this drama.  But it doesn't make her less of what and how she is as our MELOQUEEN.  But I just notice on some scenes, she cannot look directly to his eyes, there are moments of shyness or whatsoever its called.  Same as with BIN, there were scenes that his eyes isn't acting anymore but its showing true emotions.

In the second video, SYJ looks very shy. hehe. Maybe because she caught HB staring/looking at her. I should rewatch TN interviews in slow motion to see more. hehe.

Thank you @cloyfan. The ajoummas thanked SYJ for everything she did and teased HB that he didn't even have to act (for them to do their part swooning ). Based on memory of what I heard in the video posted several pages back.

       After being a creeper and lurking on this thread for about a month...and shamelessly spending days and days of my life literally reading through every single post on this thread, unlike our OTP, I've finally decided to break my silence (yes, throwing subtle shade at you, BinJin!) and officially board the ship to set sail with you fellow awesome BinJin lovers/gurus/detective ninjas! 

       A little bit about myself. I'm a 32 yo Vietnamese-American female who lives in the States (Midwest girl). I'm currently a nursing student (changed careers--former teacher). I've been interested with Korean culture ever since my first K-drama All About Eve, Autumn in My Heart, Full House, Stairway to Heaven (the adorbz Ju Meok fanboying in CLOY hit so friggin' close to home! LOL) but it wasn't until My Name is Kim Sam Soon that I went from like/appreciate to full-on LOVE/obsession and it was all due to the one and only Bin (of the Jin variety). 

      Mr. Binnie-shi's gloriously dimpled, broad shouldered, tragic painful past, hilariously jerky, undeniably charming Sam Shikkie legit broke my K-drama fangirl cherry way back and there was no turning back. I ended up studying abroad in SK during college and even taught English there for a hot minute. Still one of my best memories of my life and I cannot wait to go back some day (hopefully for a HB fan meeting or to run into some "CLOSE FRIENDS" innocently, coincidentally, fatefully shopping at a supermarket hehe).

     As someone who has been a loyal fan of Binnie for so long since pretty much the start of his career, I can say that I have legit literally watched every single one of his works (dramas and movies). I have scoured the interwebs for any and every Binnie content (BTS, interviews, if it's got Eng subs, you name, I've watched/read it..even if it didn't have Eng subs, I have shamelessly watched it just to gawk at his face/voice lol)  I can get my hands on, I have seriously say that I NEVER seen Binnie this happy, comfortable, and at ease before. While needless to say that he is an amazing actor who has conjured up crackin' chemistry for most if not all of his lovely leading ladies, I have never truly shipped him with any of his leading ladies (even when I seriously caught the SeGa bug and was ga-ga over their chemistry), I have always chalked it up to great acting and closeness b/t work friends/colleagues. It was not until CLOY and watching their BTS and interviews that I saw something so undeniably explosive, I simply could not help but obsessively ship them. Like many on this forum, I have NEVER shipped another celebrity couple or followed much news about celebrity dating as I just usually tend to focus on their projects if I'm a fan and while I'm happy for them if they are dating/married, I never paid much attention to their private lives. While I might be pretty subjective when it comes to Binnie, I am pretty objective about Jinnie. I've known that SYJ was a famous/popular K-actress in the past and I have seen a few of her earlier works like April Snow and Summer Scent (and always thought her acting was great) but I didn't really follow up with her work after that since she is in a lot more movies and I tend to watch more dramas. So you can say that I went into watching CLOY purely for Binnie but ended up becoming a BinJin believer. 

      Something that I have gathered from following Binnie for 15 years now is that he is just a stand-up, straight-forward, no-nonsense, honest-to-the-core, truthfully genuine kind of guy that does not say or do things for the sake of his popularity, fan service, or to put on any kind of showy persona, I can tell that his intimate reactions and interactions towards Jinnie are so genuinely real. He just can't seem to help the natural happiness that radiates from his inside out whenever he is around his "close friend." It's the most himself I have ever seen him be and it makes me so truly happy to see him finally find someone (however they want to define themselves right now) that makes him that honestly happy and can slam dunk his precious dimples that deep. Thanks Jinnie for that!

      I mean BinJin really aren't lying when they claim to be "close friends", you really can't feel that kind of love unless you truly considered the other person your close friend. I mean my husband will always be my close friend above all else b/c on days where you're sick and tired of each other, you've seen each at your absolute worse, it is the steady foundation of close friendship that keeps you grounded and you remember why you stick it out no matter what. 

     So I will be patient and ride the sweet wave on this sail for as long as it takes. As they say...All good things come to those who have to wait.  

     Sorry for the long post, just wanted to introduce myself and word vomit everything I've been secretly wanting to say for over a month now! Can't wait to delulu cruise with y'all!  ALL ABROAD!

And knowing Yejin who's a planner and always deliberate in her actions, a lot of thinking went into that post. Knowing the dating rumor still persists, CLOY was getting global attention, and how much controversy she'll be inviting, she wouldn't dare post that if they are strictly friends.. and she most likely asked for HB's permission too and probably had a long conversation on it (pros and cons) . In the end they agreed, yes, let's do this-- It's about time!

 

She's probably so frustrated with us who didn't get the message right away.. she's been waving the receipt (WYSIWYG) right before our eyes, yet we are too blind to see  hahaha
