I looked around the photos in yejjnhand and based from the photos, she really is a very outgoing person. Aside from her beautiful face, healthy lifestyle, charm and confidence, she really is a positive and down to earth person. I mean she wore simple clothes, she loves the beach, do sunbathing, cruising, she loves what an ordinary person would love to do. Add to this her discipline and focus when it comes to acting (she is a multiawarded actress after all, someone to really look up to). No wonder, she is beyond Hyun Bin"s expectations. We might say, she surpassed standards and Hyun Bin was caught unprepared. I remember Esquire interview, he said that he got fascinated by how Yejin interpreted her character in TN. Totally unlike to what he expected as an actor.  I guess that's why he wanted to do another project with her. Although during one press con on TN, that the emcee somehow teased him that probably he just wanted to be with Yejin in a film or tv drama such as romcom so he can get more skinship with her. Haha. Couldnt disagree. He was just regretful that there are offers before to work with her but he turned down. And with TN there is no face to face acting where he can really look into her eyes, or hug her  kiss her bec there was simply nothing like that in TN. But good thing though, with that strong impression, admiration.and attraction, it made them both crave for another project together if not only to learn more as actors. I guess that's why he was just so happy doing CLOY and with all those cute scenes and lines with Yejin that somehow probably can relate to them. Those BTS tells a lot esp the ring scenes where he keeps on getting confused and nervous. Or the marriage proposal scene which accdg to SYJ is her favorite scene the most. Why, it could be that she really wanted to get married at this stage.

 

Based on the timeline, she has close encounters with HyunBin since 2017, during TN filming. That's 3 years now. No wonder, YJ knows that he's happy after he's gotten a shower, or what sets his happy mood. (Hospital BTS). She knew he ate a lot to get a bulkier built for Captain Ri's character. If he flew from SK to LA to celebrate her bday means she is a special person to him.  Guys, let's keep our fingers crossed.

@citron Maybe introverted HB likes it when his lady is strong, independent and confident. After all he did mention that his ideal woman is someone who dresses well(sexy?) and eats (and cooks?) well, meaning that she has to be good to take care of herself (as HB is an actor and may not always be around his spouse all the time). There were moments when YJ was seen making fun and joking with HB and HB seems fine with it. Maybe he likes it when his girl teases him.

@Riri forever The ending kiss above reminds me of the BTS where SYJ was asking are we kissing here? Let's do it! They're being their own directors here talking about a kiss that wasn't planned out hehee  I don't think normal co-stars / colleagues / "close" friends would initiate kisses like that?  Or am I wrong?

IMO after lurking on this thread evidences: in TN Promotion our BinJin is just new couple wherein they are in their "honeymoon" stage that's why HB just can't control himself!  and YJ also by posting couple things in her IG...  Very GF vibe on his BF's birthday...

This interview was during his 20s, I guess it may has changed. 

According to Astrology, his Venue sign is a Virgo. Venus sign in a man is can gives some clues on what he find attractive in a woman. His sign in Virgo (an Earth sign). Venus in Virgo man loves a simple appearance without too much glamour or flaunting behavior. I am also hoping Ye Jin-ssi will take up directing soon. I reckon she got the skills for it. She has always been very involved and proactive on sets with her ideas. After all, she studied film in college so why not. If not directing, at least as a producer. I believed there was an article about her mentioning that if ever she’s going to produce a movie again (the first and last was The Last Princess), it would be an indie film. It would be a challenge and she will go back to square one but her reputation and legacy in the industry are so high up there that I reckon people in the industry and the viewers will be very supportive of her despite being a newbie and a female director/producer. That will be another boss move for her! Girl power!

Ah it's narrative is in chinese, so I can finally understand partially. So there was actually a documentary of HB's stint in the Marine? I guess they wanted to promote the Marines to the general public and it's not often that they get a big celebrity joining them. Wish there is a full video of this special feature (with english subs will be even greater!).

 

I also read somewhere that SYJ's dad was in the Marine too! And HB even looks like her dad - the resemblance is really uncanny! Wonder if HB has already met SYJ's parents (hehehe, I am happily imagining it in my delulu mind - can you imagine both of them smiling to each other with their dimples and SYJ happily looking on?)

This couple is the reason why I made this acct. After watching CLOY their chemistry is absolutely remarkable but it was only after watching their bts and interviews etc that I felt something was up between the two. While I might have shipped many of the leads in the past, it is usually obvious from their bts or external interviews whether anot there is something extra. I have to say that for this couple, I am almost 99% certain there is something else between the two other than being 'close friends'. Esp on hyunbin's end.

This is so obvious from their swoon interviews and their CLOY bts i mean, hyun bin literally STARES straight at ye jin's face the ENTIRE TIME. Just look at their swoon couch interview, the compliments video, and the beer pong game. I mean, he stares at her while shes talking at least 80% of the time, sometimes even without blinking. Im sure everyone knows eye contact is one of the huge indicators for attraction, and he is not just staring at her, he is staring at her face. It is so obvious on hyun bin's end. For ye jin I think she is alot more discreet. Might be the fact that shes pretty extrovert and bubbly so she is able to conceal her facial expressions? I hope no one takes a jab at this comment but I feel like women are able to conceal their actions or emotions better than men simply because men are more 'visual' beings? I mean there are plenty of studies online to back this up. But certain things yejin does kinda might be indicators, like she tends to touch her hair or her face when shes feeling a little bit more uneasy. During the swoon compliments video, you can see shes fidgeting around with her hair and all that after reading her own compliment, and when hyun bin is kinda staring at her for too long she again touches her hair after catching his eyes. Thats what I think. 

 

There is definitely a flirty and sexual energy being emitted around the two. Definitely not just friends!! How can it be?? Even if they might really not be dating, the two are probably in a 'some' relationship. Maybe just spending some time together to feel out if they are really compatible. My guess from watching all their videos is that they only started becoming slightly attracted to each other during the promos for the Negotiation movie. Before that I could feel ZERO of the flirty and sexual energy but definitely during negotiation promos it was kinda there. CLOY promos this energy literally just exploded like cmon. I just really hope things go well for them, and hopefully us binjin shippers have good news soon

Couldn't agree more, but the funny thing is Son Ye Jin used to be shy she said in interviews. In her early videos I think you can see her shyness shining through, luckily she got over it!

I think since they filmed in Switzerland first, they didn't have it that early on. But then I'd want to know why that is - was the ring scene not in the original script, or did it simply cross the production team's mind?

 

Anyhow here I am rewaching CLOY and all their cute BTS and interviews, hoping every night I wake to some Binjin news in the morning
