Binnie's trip to Daegu + Binnie's visit to Ye-Jin's parents:  Is this a hearsay or a confirmed news?   How credible is the news?  Before golfing....so it was probably after the Negotiation promotion?    If it is credible, how come there seemed to be no similar discussion in other news  outlets?   Would love to know more!!!  Thank you!  

 

ps:  I am very unhappy seeing people comparing the acting between Ye-Jin and Binnie (who is better, who had improved because of whom..etc.)  Please show some common courtesy for both actors in this thread.

I also felt like HB May have suggested SYJ for the part as he kept on mentioning during the CLOY promos that it will show other side of YJ... meaning her fun, cute, and charming side that only people who are close to her knows... YJ does not really do dramas as often, so I have a feeling she did CLOY due to HB... just my opinion! I feel like YJ seems to prefer movies because it’s a shorter commitment and does not take most of the year to prep and shoot.

Hello co-shoppers! I just want to say first I love reading your theories and analysis about our beloved BinJin. You guys keep me entertain and happy it's like I'm reading a Fanfic. That's why I wanna share my own insights and theories about them, too.  

Once and for all I want to tell you in advance that I'm 100% shopping with BinJin until they reach the counter (means getting married) . Why? There are only 2 things that made me believe they are real; Their Interviews and Grocery shopping photos, of course. I don't really wanna dwell on their actions and happiness when they're together especially Binnie (obviously) cause Binnie is a real gentleman and he does have a habit of staring at the ones who's talking on interviews (regardless of sex) and such tho that fact changes a bit during TN and CLOY presscon/interviews cause he stares at Yejin waaaaaaay longer, lovelier for sometimes than Park Shin Hye now. (I'm comparing her with Yejin cause she's the recent actress he worked with after TN.) It's very obvious Binnie holding back not to look at PSH when she talks even she's talking about him, tho he gave her a glimpse as manner, I guess. Or the fact that she's in a relationship might be one of his reasons. Those things are not enough to convince me they're dating. Now let's talk about my first reason with no bias opinion as a shipper.... (Warning: It's long)

 

Interview : Their answers are always connected. It's like how you and your best friend shares and agrees about an idea of certain things. (so meaning they talked a lot with each other.) That kind of vibe. From NT days, I already got that feeling, and it lead me to questions like, "How they became this close so soon while they're both busy as bees from 2017-2018?". Let's say they had 2-3 months of filming NT and a month of promotion period (presscon, interviews, photoshoot, etc.). So, In just 4 months they became this comfortable and knew each other well? I know Binnie said that usually he wants to spend time to get-to-know his co-stars to be able to work and get along together. (Yeah, right but sir TN isn't even a romantic genre so you don't need to develop the feeling of closeness for the movie. You're enemies. LOL! ) So maybe, after knowing Yejin more, he eagerly wanted to work w/ her again in a romcom or melo drama that he even voiced it out in interviews, A lot! And not to mention he specified the genre! (like how bold he is to say that in public? It sounds like a bit confession right there  ) And I heard it's his first time saying such things, to work with a specific actress in the future. (Oh yes, I'll buy that product, Binnie-shi) .

And now during CLOY interviews, I was surprised how short and simple their answers are to the question, "What made you accept the role in CLOY?" both of them just said "It's fun and they enjoyed reading the script." and Binnie just add "Because I've been doing a lot of action movies and It's been a long time I did romcom, I wanted to do one this time." Just that??Suddenly he wanted to act in a romcom? But he just did MOA. I know that drama is more of fantasy and thriller but there's still a romance in it. To be honest, although Binnie suits the role of Ri Jung hyuk, still he is quite diff from Binnie's character preferences in drama. If you noticed he seems to like an arrogant guy w/ tsundere character like his roles in KSS, SC, and HJM and MOA. But Jung Hyuk has a sweet and considerate character even from the very beginning of the story. (Seems like he didn't thought about the character this time but just decided to act on it no matter what.) I was also expecting him to praise and talk about the writer and director like what he usually does when in fact, Writer Park Ji-eun has many hit dramas and that he can mention. (or maybe he didn't know any of her dramas?) Sounds more questionable, isn't it?  

"Aren't you affected to work on this project together again by the dating rumors?". Obviously, their answers here were also the same or more like scripted? LOL! I know lots of us noticed how Binnie was so eager to answer this question during the interview like he expected this already and he memorized the answer a lot! He speaks for both of them actually. I'm surprised no one asked them the common question to actors and actresses w/ dating rumors , "Is there a chance you would date each other in the future?". They even asked this question to Yejin in SMITR but they didn't! So, the questions during the CLOY presscon was somehow filtered(?) They omitted the questions the reporters were dying to ask for I'm sure such as, "Are you two really dating?" LOL! They didn't wanna answer this in person cause they can't deny it in person, too. (Yeah we've been knew) *hihi*  But I like how host emphasized the words "you're close friends" and "it's telepathy" when they asked the question, "Did you talk about working on this project before?" (She lowkey exposing them) LMAO!

 

Grocery shopping: This is what I'm holding onto the most. (I know all of us, LOL!)  Obviously, no one of us shoppers believe that they had acquaintance in the photos. It's like this. If I were to put my shoes into the fan who saw them that day, I will not take photos of them if I saw they were w/ other people cause I'll get shy and just think he/she is on vacation w/ their family or friends. Don't want to bother them cause it's normal. But, if I only saw just him/her or the two of them in a place, I'll get suspicious and will get curios. And if you get curios, your first instinct is to take pictures to ask other people about what you saw. The fan probably wanted to make sure if they were w/ other people since she took many angles of them. She followed them around for quite a long time. Noticed on the photo when they're both looking at the wines there's no cart yet. (meaning, the wine was the first thing that they wanted to buy). Then she took a photo with the cart with many goods in it at last. And judging Yejin from the photo, she seems to be the kind of shopper that take a long time to decide on what to buy since she roams around and check everything that she sees first. (meaning they don't have anything specific thing to buy other than the wine but just looking around what's good to eat later.) You know, like you don't have anything special to do this evening just chill at home and eat some snacks with your best friend.  And another thing I noticed in the photos, too. They are not caught talking, smiling and not always together. Usually if you saw each after a long time, you'll talk a lot along the way, and never leave each other side cause your time is limited. But in the pictures, the two of them appears like a married couple or BF/GF taking their time to shop together cause they have a long time to spare today. (Can't help but to think they must had spent many days together more than I imagined.) Let's say they do have acquaintance that day but they are at the other grocery just like what their agencies stated. Is Binnie close enough with Yejin's friends that he can tag along with them? So, he met Yejin's friends for a few times before? Why? Why would he be? And why would left BinJin alone and separately do their groceries. What's the point of going together? LOL! Seriously, men usually don't want to tag along with their female girlfriends cause It's quite embarrassing for them and chances are they'll feel left out most of the time. (Their agencies didn't think to that extent.) So, in conclusion, their statement in denying the rumor was a lie. (Sorry, try again.)

 

I'll just finish my insight right here for now. Gonna add up later when I have time. Happy shopping shoppers!

if you watch the news progs about binjin dating news in 2019 you will see so much things. those are so good. the korean reporters and mcs all believe they are together

In my opinion they started dating before TN promo in early 2018 maybe. 

all the news comes out from that naver blog. koreans share they thoughts through this platform, almost all the binjin rumors except the grocery came out from naverblog.

Yoona is YJ’s friend and she also was the actress of HB’s movie confidential assignment. She is a little close to binnie too, but in the movie she was so close to YHJ(other actor of movie). in one of the IVs yoona talked about the sonbaes who she talk with about acting. she talked about some actresses(all of them are YJ’s close friends) and at last she said” I talk with YJ onnie about acting.” and then out of the blue she said I do the same with HB oppa too.

Son Ye Jin despite being a top star in films, is not exactly a bankable drama star. Except for Pretty Noona which saw moderate success in ratings (though critically acclaimed), her past dramas just did not rate well. In Korea she is known as a competent and acclaimed film actress rather than a power commercial star.  Her CFs and brand endorsements are a clear indication of this.  I seriously doubt she would have been the first choice for Park Ji Eun if not for Hyun Bins recommendation

 

 

I don't think there is a difference in film stars/drama stars in korea, if you're a star you're a star especially the highest tier stars like SYJ. Her dramas do well after their initial run. Yoona's drama with Jang geun seuk didn't do great in korea but sold internationally really well.

Yejin was paid the highest rate per episode for SITR for an actress and even actors like Park Seo Joon so I do disagree she's not a bankable drama star.

HB after army had some not huge successes but he had two massive hits in 2017 with Confidential Assignment and Swindlers, over 11 million admissions. Even if their individual projects are not blockbuster hits, HB and SYJ are at the level where even if their projects are not considered huge commercial hits/critical darlings they're highly sought after. 

 

CLOY is lucky to have two top tier stars plus everyone else cast did a great job and the writing was "chef's kiss".

I'm not sure if many shippers know this here but parkpark couple was trashed by knetz when rumors like psj recommend pmy for the role in wwwsk started floating around. I find it appalling to see such discussions going around here in open. Some of you sound so confident as if Binjin or park ki Eun have this information to you personally. Son Ye Jin is a big name in South Korea she doesn't need anyone's recommendation. These are the speculations that lead to fan wars between the solo fans and shippers. Wasn't hand holding enough now do we want gossip sites to pick this up too? Some speculations can offend fans of either one of the actors. So stop with the comparison already. Both are big names in South Korea and both are capable of attracting the same writer. Both mentioned wanting to work together again so there's no way they would have let the opportunity to cast two big names who are also willing to work together again slide. 

 

 

Stop bringing their ex and past co stars again and again. Syj is his latest co star and his interactions with her should only matter. I can digest if shippers worry over their interactions with their co star in future but why are some crying over the past. DM someone if you are that troubled no need spread negative vibes here.

Ooh yesss I rewatched the press con today and this point really stood out to me. They were offered roles in CLOY in what, April/May? And they both have product event together in April. Close ~friends will defo talk about it, no? Telepathy schmelepathy. Hehehe.
