It’s has been awhile since we’ve seen the South Korean actor on our screens, but the heartthrob has now racked up another ambassadorship, this time for Italian brand Loro Piana.

 

K-drama A-lister Hyun Bin made waves for his role as Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok in blockbuster Netflix show Crash Landing On You, but since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of his upcoming movies, Bargaining, The Point Men and Confidential Assignment 2: International. 

 

As one of South Korea’s most recognised and sought-after stars, Hyun Bin has been chosen as ambassador for several fashion and lifestyle brands. Last November, he was signed on as an Omega spokesman. In July, he was announced as the new face for Tom Ford Beauty. And in August, the star became LazMall’s first regional brand ambassador – surely an encouragement for us to add to cart!

 

Most recently, on Sep 2, Hyun Bin was announced as the official ambassador for Italian luxury brand Loro Piana. 

“His social engagement towards humanitarian and environmental issues underscores the common values shared between himself and Loro Piana, making the partnership a natural decision,” the brand said in a press release. 
 

“Loro Piana creates garments of timeless elegance, products that do not change over time. Through this collaboration I want to share the history and values of this brand that I have always admired. I look forward to the upcoming activities,” Hyun Bin said.

Well into my sophomore pandemic year, I’ve become excellent at watching television. I know when a torture scene is around the corner in Handmaid’s Tale(when isn’t it?), and I have a knack for guessing who’s going to die next in Ozark. I adore these shows, but cuddling up to my husband to watch another round of chase-gore-sex-repeat felt a little Groundhog Day—the very feeling we were looking to escape. So, when a friend recommended a Korean dramedy called Crash Landing on You, it sounded refreshingly strange. Crash Landing alone would be a great title but the “on you” says so much. Just add “on you” to any of your favorite shows: 30 Rock on You. The Leftovers on You. Seinfeld on You. With nostalgia for our former life in Koreatown, L.A., my husband James and I hit play.

the Netflix original series, a South Korean face cream mogul accidentally paraglides into the demilitarized zone and onto a hot North Korean soldier. The red-star-crossed-lovers rom com is brilliant on so many levels—think North Korean Outlander but make it funny. There’s a North Korean defector on the writing staff, so it’s an unusually informed look at South Korea’s grumpy upstairs neighbor (impossibly romantic coincidences and balls-out camp aside.) We quickly binged the whole series and, by the end, Korean television had crash landed on our hearts. So we dove into the world of Netflix K-dramas, which has proven as endless and addictive as a BTS playlist.……………

 

Episodes run around the length of a Disney movie. And there are usually about sixteen. One season. Sixteen movies. It’s amazing. But an adjustment for the Hollywood viewer. After our incessant gushing, our friend Dan watched Crash Landing on You and said he felt like he needed Ritalin to make it through the first episode. The storytelling is slow, thorough, and zen. Climactic scenes are replayed from various points of view so it occasionally feels like being trapped in a conversation with your drunk aunt who tells you the same story multiple times (which begs the question: am I becoming that aunt?)  But patience is rewarded with some of the most hypnotic cinema, ever. By the end, we’d spent so much time with these characters, saying goodbye felt like a breakup.

Kim Jung-hyun, the announcer of 'Sections TV' and formerly known as a lookalike actor 'Jung Hae-in' (who was Son Ye-jin's costar in "a beautiful noon a who buys me food", started to meet Son Ye-jin. Son Ye-jin, who showed an embarrassment to cosplay with the announcer Kim Jung-hyun, made a scene of laughter in the spot by pointing out the facial similarities between Jung Hae-in and Kim Jung-hyun in detail.

"When I filmed the drama, I was happy because it was so responsive."

When talking about her new upcoming movie "Negotiation", Son Ye-jin said that she was on a different floor of the same building as Hyun Bin, who was her costar in the movie, through live broadcast monitors. In addition, she also confessed that she needed a lot of concentration to think that it is not Hyun Bin. 

Son Ye-jin, who usually travels or rests at home during breaks between filming, likes mafia games and unspoken 007 bread games, she said. "I'm curious about what kind of games my young friends are enjoying these days." In order to solve her curiosity, Son Ye-jin partcipated in a game prepared by 'Sections TV' that she made the atmosphere of the scene warm with her energetic fighting.

Actor Hyun Bin, at the showcase of the movie 'Negotiation' (Director Lee Jong-suk, provided and distributed by CJ Entertainment, produced by JK Film, co-produced and Pictures Odd-Eye Pictures, CJ Entertainment) held at COEX Live Plaza in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 3rd. “I don't know which one of my husband's hometowns should I go to first, and I answered this.” said Hyun Bin.  He came up with such a clear answer to a problem that was taken for granted, but which is difficult to do at will in the Korean sentiment.

 

A showcase of the crime entertainment movie 'Negotiation', which is about to be released on the 19th, was held at COEX this afternoon. Although the weather was cold enough to pour heavy rain, the live plaza where the showcase was held was full of a warm atmosphere like a sunny spring.

 

On this day, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin selected citizens and held an event to go on stage together. A mother who became a fan after watching the drama 'Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food' (2018) starring Son Ye-jin and Jung Hae-in said, "I went through menopause. In terms of fan service, Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin gave their mother and daughter a hug, and lastly took a selfie together and made memories.

A female fan in her 20s said, “Hyun Bin is love to me,” and she was lucky to take a selfie with Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin. Kim Tae-jin, who was in charge of the mode, left a big laugh at the scene by sending a comment saying, “It takes a lot of courage to take a picture between Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin.”

'Negotiation', which has emerged as a highly anticipated film at the theater this Chuseok. While they are about to compete with masterpieces such as 'Water Monster' (Director Heo Jong-ho) and 'Ansi-seong' (Director Kim Gwang-sik), the fan service of Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin played a big role in raising interest in the movie. Broadcaster Kim Tae-jin, who was in charge of the day, also contributed to communication between actors and citizens by sending appropriate comments at the right place.

'Negotiation' is a movie depicting the story of a negotiator Ha Chae-yoon (Son Ye-jin) starting the negotiation of a lifetime in order to stop the hostage criminal Min Tae-goo (Hyun Bin) within a time limit after the worst hostage play ever occurs in Thailand. The meeting between Son Ye-jin, the representative of Korea's 'Happiness Queen' and Hyun Bin, the 'Happiness King', has caused a lot of attention from the casting stage.

 

Son Ye-jin is expected to play the role of a police officer for the first time in her life, and Hyun Bin also plays an evil role for the first time in filmography history. The two are already raising the expectations of many prospective audiences by foretelling a new acting transformation.

 

In 'Negotiation', within a limited space and time, Chae-yoon and Tae-gu face each other tightly with only the monitor in between. The confrontation between the two is expected to provide instant tension and overwhelming suspense. The two, who had conflicts in the movie, got away from their roles and boasted a warm friendship. They are also friends of the same age, born in 1982.

 

Son Ye-jin, who took on the role of a lifelong police officer, was a calm and cool negotiator in the play, but on this day, unlike Ha Chae-yoon's cold appearance, people were greeted with a bright and warm smile. Son Ye-jin said, "I think 'Negotiation' will go well because everyone came today and supported the movie." "It was so much fun today."
