I myself did not have any high expectations from the fan meet. Particularly, not expecting them to talk about HB. My reasoning was that they have yet to make an announcement so talking about HB in her fan meet was not the platform. But I have no doubt that they are together. In fact, ICBM!! I can feel an announcement coming this week.

Thanks for this question it revives my decision why i invest shipping them for me except for the grocery sighting .. There are two reasons one is same for you the BTS of cloy YJ smell HB hair..and the  Kakao talk the manner of answering both channel 20. HB as if asking YJ clarification  though both of them have their own TV at home only two reason y HB did that,one is either one of them program each other TV to channel 20 or they are living in one place hehehe ..

And the rest are history as to be binjin a supporter.

Wow. YJ was seriously glowing at her FM!!! And sure, there were some parts of the meeting that I would have fast forwarded LOL, but overall, I liked it. She had good chemistry with the actor who played Pyo Chi Su and she even talked about things that were new to me like admitting she lacks patience sometimes, wanting to be a bread baker when she was young, how introverted she was, how acting can be really hard for her sometimes, the legacy she wants to leave, etc etc. 

 

I went in with some hope, but also did not expect any BJ crumbs because this is YJ's fan meeting (I'm sure HB will have one in Japan too), and mainly because they're self-proclaimed private people in regards to their personal life. I can see why people may have been a little disappointed about them not really addressing RiRi couple and their chemistry too, but what more do we need to know? They've touched on it in the Swoon interviews, during press rounds for CLOY, in their written interviews for the Japanese publications, in HB's metro-style interview, etc. We already know how they feel about their chemistry (we've seen it firsthand too) and how they feel about working together since TN. 

 

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I read a comment on Twitter that said something along the lines of "fans deserving answers," from BinJin... and that really made me upset. Just because we see them as public figures, that doesn't mean that they have to adhere to our demands to release information about their private relationship even though they may know how well supported they are. This is their lives and they can choose how much they reveal to us. If anything, I wouldn't want them to be reactive to fans and the public in the way they decide how to go about their relationship because then they will be tossed to and fro since public opinions are always changing and unstable. Like both HB and YJ have said, their way of thanking us is with their work... everything else is an undeserved blessing for us. 

 

As so many other shippers reminded us, let's not forget how many goodies we received this week! After being fed so well, you can either choose to be more greedy or to be thankful, and that's really up to you. Like many people mentioned, the fact that she didn't deny the rumors herself (she could have implied it) and didn't talk too much about HB just shows that their relationship is something to be protected until they want to reveal it.

 

I've posted this GIF in a previous post when I was talking about their public/private relationship (because they've been so good at doing that; feeding us while keeping their privacy), and I wanted to post it again with the same sentiments. We can observe how in love they are (it's as clear as day), but there will always be a glass wall preventing us from invading their privacy. We are only able to fully enjoy BinJin when we stop projecting our own expectations on them. Let's let them enjoy themselves on their own, and we can enjoy from the outside looking in.

I had always shipped them, but what convinced me was that short video of them walking together after the ending of baeksang. Their body language can’t be faked.

My convinced moment was the BTS where she ran towards him and when he wasnt looking at her, she whacked his chest hard... then he gave the most little boy impish grin and wide smile.

The one that really convinced me except the grocery sighting was the couple ring bts scene lol! He's so nervous that time haha! Why HB??  and also HB pretending to drag SYJ to bed after the ring scene. It was so hilarious! How can you joke like that haha! You don't do that to any costars even she's a friend! Unless... They’re so private and that’s what makes the relationship stable and healthy. When it comes I think it will be more of a formal press release, letting their fans know they’re getting married or just got married, thank you very much for your support, release a few pics maybe not even, and that’s it. It’s not going to be anything like the British royal weddings, with all the press invited, fans lining the streets, global live streaming, etc.

I just wanted to clarify about Jinnie and fan meetings..Not sure why people had such high hopes in this fan meeting. She doesn't do fan meetings like Binnie. Maybe it was her introvert self - You barely know what she has said or done at all her past ones. You just know on Nov 2008 she celebrated her 1 year year of her Japan fan club on a cruise ship in Yokonowa. It was in an article - she sang I Love You (that I brought up before).. Only reason it still mention in SYJ thread is a poster had sum up what was in that article.

Otherwise you know she did do birthday ones especially can see on her schedule. The only footage is the one with Yoon Eun Hye on her birthday in January 2012 and they talk about how they became friends and boys - otherwise it isnt really said what kind of clips was shown and I don't recall if anyone had shared what questions were asked. Since it seemed like a smaller gathering.. Base on her official facebook, you have to apply. I remember she had said that she gets nervous being on stage. Probably the only people that know more are those ones from her Japan fan club or those who were lucky and attended her birthday fan meetings. 

 

If she does anymore in the future, I expect it would be a smaller version and a sit down gathering. I don't expect an auditorium full of fans like Binnie and other Korean actors have done. Even the years we know she has celebrity friends, I don't think any sent her messages at those fan meetings (that was shown publicly). We only had hope for this one because Binnie had done it to Ha Ji Won and YoonA before. Otherwise, I am sure those important people in her life all sent her private messages before this virtual fan meeting. As it is her first one in a very long time.

1. Didn’t director said they had a lot of drinks or get-togethers to get to know each other/discuss the movie/new technique of filming? Presumably continued as filming started....

 

2. Didn’t  someone mention HB used to just leave after filming his part but for TN, he waited around for filming to finish (presumably to wait for a certain someone,  see clue #1 above)?   

 

And seeing how director was always like the “forgotten” third wheel - don’t forget his chemi scores for them!, - he was the observer and as a director, he needs to be VERY good at observing, (it’s his job!) - I would say this was the moment for me!  Now, how do we arrange for an interview w this director and have plenty of alcohol to ply him? Hmmm....

- I adore their relationship so much.This is what you called the real lowkey couple.I’m glad they didn’t follow any previous popular k-celebs couple route where they somehow flaunt their relationship around (even before confirming anything) in which ended up tragic anyway but instead doing everything so subtly.But that’s what happened when you ship two individuals who doesn’t care about popularity and doesn’t do mediaplay.They only give you a little bit of hints that they’re for sure real and still going strong but at the same time still protecting their privacy so much.

No wonder Korean fans and especially Korean Medias left them alone too at the end but for sure they did tried once to basically pushed them to confirm but you can see how strong their relationship foundation is and that they will only go public when the time is right.BinJin take your time because we want you both to last.And I hope the fans and shippers will respect that too and be more considerate as well.

I'm actually glad the special guest is not HB. Like you guys said here, this is SYJ fan meeting so the focus should be on her, if HB is the guest, then I'm sure the news everywhere will be more about Binjin than SYJ, and thats not fair. As much as I loveeeeee Binjin, I'm sure a woman like SYJ never wants her relationship to define her. I haven't seen any actor/actress invited their rumored/real partner unless their motive is to sell the relationship, and that's 100% not Binjin's style!

This is just my opinion, but I saw SYJ looked very happy and glowing during the fan meeting. She must be so happy she can finally meet someone again after two months + 2 weeks. I bet she had a really good night prior to the fan meeting, and I think I know where that glow comes from

Good question. I can't single out one particular moment. It's really a collection of moments.

BTS: These are tricky because these moments are sometimes an extension of the characters the actors are playing. Some actors seem very close and friendly on set but once the drama/film is over they don't see much of each other again. HB and SYJ have appeared close to costars in past BTS too. But even with all that said, their closeness on the CLOY set was pretty evident and there were a few intimate moments that made a real relationship (vs reel) seem very possible: SYJ grabbing onto HBs belt buckle between takes during the boat scenes. She didn't grab his shirt or arm but his belt buckle and hung onto it for a bit. I mean, ladies you just don't do that to a guy friend or costar, that's a clingy GF move; HB intertwining his hands with SYJ during ring scene rehearsal for no reason (the scene didn't call for that); the lack of personal space between them when reviewing footage; SYJ hitting HBs chest and the look of utter glee on his face in having made her laugh and then embracing as they walked together; the hug and shoulder squeeze when shooting the green screen footage during last day of filming, etc... there are more. But they all show a close relationship that includes a lot of physical touching (sometimes even more than the characters did themselves). There is just an indescribable comfort/ease in how they acted. It's mostly subtle but its there. Plus they just look straight up happy when they are together.

Interviews/Events: I wouldn't say they displayed any outright flirty behaviour during promo events or awards (although HBs long intense gazing was a sight to behold!) but it was in the subtle moments that that give themselves away. Again the physical stuff is key here, not so much their words. And you need to really be paying more attention to SYJ not HB: Her tapping him on his thigh during various parts of the CLOY presscon to either get his attention or communicate something (she thought she was being discreet but fans picked up on it); her nudging his elbow to look at the camera when she caught him staring at her instead during one of the Swoon videos, her tugging on his jacket to help her with an answer like a little baby during that same video, her roasting him about letting go of her hand during the Netflix Taiwan video, her turning her eyes and head during Baeksang to gesture to HB there is a camera behind him, etc... Anyone in a relationship would recognize these gestures for what they are. 

And overall, when you see the change in their comfort with each other from TN promo (nervous, flirty behaviour) period to CLOY filming and promo (more comfortable, roasting each other more) you can see the evolution of their relationship and how much time they must have spent together between those two periods (only a year) to get to that place.

So when you take the LA grocery trip (still the basis of this ship) and add all these moments, its easy to see why people are confident in these two and why their behaviour suggests they are more than friends and colleagues.
