I have to agree with you 100% on this. That is why I cringed when I read some of the fans' comments on SYJ's  IG post of the flowers urging her to marry HB now.  I was so horrified and embarassed to read them. That's one way for BinJin to retreat further. IMHO

Because they will always feel like the third wheel now, rather than the couple who should be together. It would be so bad for their sanity. Anyone in their position would feel jealousy and insecurity, which is the worst for any relationship.

That is JHI in general. He holds hands with all his female co stars. It is fine. They are friends. She is just his noona. He gave her a food truck during CLOY filming. Can't SYJ be friends with her other male co stars lol. HB and SYJ are both private people and are respected in the industry. It is best for them to keep stuff private in a professional setting. So of course no holding hands etc. Their small glimpses, looks and smiles at each other gave it away and were enough for us. Plus they said a lot to us in their TikTok and acceptance speech. We knew what they were talking about!

 

***Please go back and read at least from page 778 and on ward. Many of us here have gone into long detailed posts of what they continue to keep their relationship private especially during Baeksang

 

I think most of us want to move on from that discussion now.

Oh yes this is the worst! It's one thing to privately wish for something like this, maybe talk about it in a forum like this, but actually posting it in their IG pages? Cringe to the max! I notice this with a lot of celebrities through so its not specific to BinJin or Korean celebrities, but still..come on people! This behaviour has the exact opposite effect. They retreat as you said. And some cite this 'pressure' in their breakup announcements too. As always, let's ship responsibly 

 

Re: JHI, if you can't see what a sweet brother/sister type of relationship they seem to have, I don't know what to tell you. What I have learned from reading IG and Twitter (and even other shipper forums on this very site) since Baeksang is people will literally ship ANYONE together even when it defies logic. So you can't get caught up by it.

I cannot find any picture of them during this recently baeksang awards that they are holding hands..if it iss true, how come it doesnt go viral....? i didnt see one?

I see many haters forming these days against BinJin. Not surprising though. The buzz about them is getting so LOUD some are getting jealous. I know for a fact some stans of other ladies wanted HB for their girls but nope aint happening! I have followed Hyun Bin's career for a while now, 15+ years and i'm rarely wrong on my calculations about him. I even guessed right during the SHK days after the drama Worlds Within and guess what? Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo  revealed that they were dating exactly one year after that drama! Back then fans were not that active on the internet but i was always involved in my HB group chats and i told many others it was happening with Hye Kyo and they kept denying. Unfortunately i never liked him with that woman and was glad when that ended tbh. Still some fans from that time remained bitter and became haters of HB which is very sad because to this day nobody knows what happened between them so why blame HB? weird behavior. I could bet that the men were not to blame in those relationships but hmmm let's move on...

 

I'm very proud of Binjin for keeping this low profile because for one it means what they have is so precious to them, they want to protect it. For Hyun Bin this is the FIRST time he is secretely dating because he usually announces his relationships especially when it's a lady in K-entertainment. He is a very honest man and is not comfortable with hiding things, you can see it all over his face how nervous he is right now but also very happy with what's happening in his life. I believe this relationship changed both their lives for the better. Ye Jin has NEVER announced one relationship in her entire career. This is VERY rare in this business and really admirable. She wants people to know her for her work only and nothing else. Right now you can see both are focused on showing a PROFESSIONAL front to the public and they DONT want the focus to shift on anything else. Also during this covid-19 madness, the worse two entertainers could do right now is announce a relationship and turn the attention on them which is another reason why they were so low key during this awards.This could end up being what make them last and i think the moment we will know the truth is when a child comes in the picture. 

 

One last thing: No matter what haters try guys, the ONLY thing that should make you stop shipping BinJin is an announcement of wedding from one party to someone else. So far Hyun Bin has been officially single to the public since 2017 and you really think this man has really been single this long? lol He is turning 40 in 3 years, has declared to want marriage and kids when getting closer to that age group yet he would just stay single for 3 years????????!!!!!! yeah okay lol. Just do the math lol.

Thanks for your response. they were also rumored to be dating after SITR but they don't look awkward in front of the camera. they still look close and don't care about rumors. but I try not to be disappointed because it affects my mood to do my daily activities

@Milwij Corner which would you rather have: sweet gestures on cam, but not dating/never have dated in real life OR professional demeanor on cam (with "awareness" of each other's presence), but had grocery pics behind the camera? As a shipper, I need no sweet gestures on cam to know my faith in the ship is valid. You are only sad for as long as you want to be, so decide to ship or not to ship.

By now they have been together for about two years, the feelings are there, (if you look closely, you can see it) but they have reach an stability in the relationship. This is what this younger generation of shippers don't get neither understand, and that's why all the fuss and comments. that's what I think, I could be wrong. What do you all think?

Don’t mind me, am just browsing around reading news after receiving a devastating non-fandom news earlier this evening. Cheering myself up with some pretty!

Let me give my 2 cents for yesterday’s events.

 

Honestly, I don’t even know SYJ and HY before. I hardly known Korean actors and actresses (though I recognized few faces) because I am not really into K drama, though some of those has been shown in Philippines television, some I was able to watch but not full episodes.  I was able to watch CLOY coz of this COVID, when are all required to work from home. But then immediately upon watching it, I myself became fascinated to the kind of Chemistry that the BINJIN has. I started to watch all their BTS and all those YouTube uploads and even follow SYJ media. I did download Tiktok, which I motioned before to do voting and became excited to June 5 for BA and hoping that out loving BINJIN and CLOY teams will win.  Upon reading all those pages here, it’s true that there are some fans disappointed for the results and I myself felt it. But with regards to the actions of BINJIN to each other, I myself never even doubt a single moment regarding their “close friends” status. However I don’t really dwell on it because of the following reasons:

 

THEIR INTERACTION

1.       I am expecting it already that they will really display their professionalism and wouldn’t want to catch attention and create more rumors that encircling their relationship status. I’m sure a lot will agree that their actions are almost the same during the CLOY Conference. I have been in a clandestine relationship (though it’s not elicit) and I known that keeping a treasured relationship takes a lot of effort and somehow some denials in order to protect it. They are trying their best not to get attention from others especially that they know they are being watched of millions of people particularly their fans. So it’s really understandable to keep a low key profile regarding their status.  I believed if they are really just ‘close friends” they can just sit and talk without any restrictions.  Their messages are already a big clue for us. It’s actually an icing on the cake, considering that they have a grocery pictures together. That alone is a receipt. What else we need.

 

2.       I don’t really agree that HB is aloof nor cold to SYJ or with those comments that they might broke up. I guess, neither one of them will attend if they have some resentment towards one another. What I noticed was, HB looks tired. I immediately noticed it in his eyes when he walks in the red carpet. But considering that he was tired, he still looks gorgeous and yummy. Forgive my words hahaha. No doubt a handsome man in all aspects and forms. I believed they discussed already this kind of set – up and HB is trying hard to loosen up and avoid excessive staring with SYJ. But still, we knew that he fails at some point. He was and still the man who displayed affection/ fondness to SYJ. He is still the man dashing with love in his eyes and every inch a gentleman towards SYJ. He is not what others taught about it, a serious, no jam person. He is totally different with SYJ.  ALWAYS AN EXCEPTION TO THE RULE. He follows and leads when necessary. One thing I really like about him is that he was able to give such kind of attention to SYJ and makes her as well break the walls. SYJ became more radiant and it’s all because of him. (my delulu mind). SYJ on the other hand as we all know, will always be the woman who can stand and surpass everything, even the GREAT GAZE of HB. She is really the light of HB life. She naturally breaks the wall and the tension of the night. And even though, they seem to be distant (as others describe) we can feel the “comfortable vibes” that they have to each other especially at the back stage. SYJ was never intimidated at all with the best actress awards. We can see how fiercely she smiles even though she did not win. I guess, she even came to the awards not only to thanks the fans but to support HB. She is the only person now who knows HB, what he feels and thinks. And we have to give credit to her for that.

 

AWARDS

        Honestly, both of them deserved the best actress and best actor awards. Not because I am a BINJIN fan, but because they were able to deliver the character with flying colors in such a way that they were able to elicit different emotions of the audience. CLOY would not be this huge success without they chemistry and superb acting. In fairness with them, I believed that they are really much better than the other winners. (This is just my thought please bear with me) Acting is not merely on heavy drama or how much tears we cried out. CLOY gave more than that to us. We laugh, we cried, we feel excited, got mad, fell in love and lots of emotions has been draw out to the audience. HB seems to be disappointed, which is understandable because he was really good in this series. All of the CLOY team actually. I have been a movieholic of English/ American films and I can really compare how good SYJ/ HB in CLOY. Even the Director and the writer did not win, which I myself felt bad.

 

But then at the end of the day I am so happy that despite all the things that happened yesterday, we were able to witness the two souls in love. We were able to have a picture of them together and side by side because of popularity awards. Imagine if they won best actor/ actress, they will come up to the stage separately, which will lead us to zero pictures together. And more so, they gave us a message that we, as their fans will engrave to our hearts forever. We are winners at all aspects. And I am so proud to BINJIN worldwide for making it happen.

Oh my, my message is already long, sorry about that. Well, want I can only say, for those who are doubtful, please always go back for the reasons why we are here. GROCERY PICTURES are a clear receipts and the rest are just bonus. Let’s give SYJ and HB the time and privacy they need to nurture their relationship. Let’s support them no matter what.  I am a firm believer of this ship. Mind has a power to make things happen. Please let’s be positive and support our ship with prayers.

Yes, JHI was warm but unlike with Hyun Bin, the media didn’t really care and wasn’t waiting for them to slip up and give away the real status of their relationship. SYJ pretty much shot down any possibility of them dating in one interview while Pretty Noona was still on-air, no less. The TN promotions were also that same year and HB was very warm with Yejin. It was only after the grocery photos came out that they acted differently with each other whenever the media was around because they know every little thing they do will be scrutinized.
