Popular Post TotoroSY
On 5/13/2020 at 10:09 AM, lemontree said: Hello, I’ve been silent reader here and this time I want to share something interesting about Binjin’s time in LA in Jan 2019. I read someone’s post in this forum that our couple might do grocery shopping in Pavilions instead of Ralphs because the 2-storey pushcart seems belong to Pavilions (page 479). I thought that was an interesting observation, so I searched more about that. And these are what I found in google and foursquare photos: 1st pics : The items on top of the fridges look the same. 2nd pics : The lamps also look similar. 3rd pics : The 6-level rack and its items looks similar although the placement is different. Sometimes it can happen in the supermarket. Those photos of Pavilions were taken in Pavilions, Newport Coast. If you see in google map, the location is not far from LA. In addition, the location is close to Pelican Hill Golf Club. Assuming that they played golf together in LA, I guess they stayed at The Resort at Pelican Hill nearby which offers luxurious villa. So I am re-quoting this cuz I noticed that people on Insta/ Twitter are only NOW posting that Binjin Grocery pix is at PAVILION (not Ralph's) near Pelican Resort. This post by @lemontree was from way back in May 13th. Looks like the Insta/ twitter folks are playing Catch-up on this info. There's even a video now on IG and twitter hahaha!! Just want to give credit to the all Binjin shoppers here who first did all the investigation - it was pretty exciting candies for us here at that time : @lemontree @CartPusherInLA @Elle R @cloyfan Another info that we ascertained is that this area is near to a town/ housing area where a lot of Taiwanese/ Chinese people stay. That is probably why Binjin got photographed by Taiwanese fans. And oh yeah, amusingly, it seems that fans on weibo already knew about it long ago, way before us here at Soompi, and twitter/ IG. So we are all catching up with weibo. Also want to caution about how all this Pavilion info, esp the link to Pelican Resort is being shared widely now at SocMedia. This might actually get picked up by media gossip sites. And Yejin may never stay at that resort again in the future.... @cloyfan visited this PAVILION back in June. Someone on twitter posted it too. 16 1 2 6

cloyfan
That certainly was a very exciting time here made by an exciting discovery thanks to @lemontree! Part of me is gleeful that it’s making the rounds on social media - so all the skeptics can know that Binjin did not just randomly meet up on one occasion during their time in LA, they likely stayed together at a fancy golf resort and did some snack shopping at a Pavilions nearby. But the other part of me doesn’t want the beans to be spilled on our super ninja couple and have any special travel destinations ruined for them. Anyway, this IG user definitely took it to the next level with the live VIDEO so props to her This fandom is something else lol 15 1
Popular Post ElectricHearts
Binnie and his love for trying different kinds of beer lead me here The one beer Binnie spent most of his time promoting as a CF model was Hite beer From wikipedia: Quote The top-selling beer in South Korea. Hite lager is sweet and golden, with thin body and minimal head. It is styled upon American rice lagers such as Budweiser. It is brewed from barley malt and rice.4.3% ABV. This has been mentioned before. In Jinnie's fridge for Masters in The House, she has R4 beer It was created by BSM brewery November 2015 as the world's first rice beer - it was officially released in December. Described as Quote R4 means that it has four characteristics such as Rice, Refresh, Rich and Real. RICE New genre rice lager that made with 100% riceRICE It has incomparable rich scent because three different hops and 2.5x amount are used.REFRESH You can't notice its 5.8% alc because of adequate carbonic acidREAL From base ingredients to manufacture, it is the real Korean craftsmanship Source Bae says that his inspiration is through Japanese rice wine/sake Quote R4 is technically categorized as a "rice wine" in terms of ingredients, but blind tests can easily deceive judges by making them believe it is a smooth lager. Firstly, I think it's great that the owners of these photos and videos had fun visiting the Pavilion concerned. @cloyfan visited Pavilion back in June too and took pictures to establish that it was THE Pavilion and not Ralph's. We were really excited about the candy she gave us. It cleared all our doubts. Secondly, I am still concerned that this info is now widely spread on Twitter and Insta and will get picked up by media ie. gossip sites. Esp the Pelican Resort link to YJ's past IG post. Let's hope that doesn't happen. 7

QueenieBee
I hope people aren't taking the comfirmation of Pavillions vs Ralph's as new information. It's just one of those pesky details that people thought was incorrectly reported when the grocery pics originally came out. It does not change the fact that they were grocery shopping together. It just gives fans further context on the part of LA they were visiting and perhaps a hint on where they were staying. 4 1
Call Me By My Real Name
@TotoroSY because I recognized the ones responding to me on Twitter that's why I went here to at least be able to say my side especially when I saw your post. @girlpepper this thread is public. Posts here are often shared and quoted. Haven't we long established that this thread is often visited by the media and the celebrities, themselves? Like I said on Twitter, I am not active in this thread. I drop by from time to time but as I'm a busy mom, I can hardly keep up. So the last time I read about the Pavilions vs Ralph's discussion was back in May when @lemontree posted her detailed comparison. I would often show her post in discussions with fellow fans. My point here is, had I seen @cloyfan's June post (and that of the others') sure, I would have also given that proper credit, no questions asked. But see, not everyone online visits Soompi or has the time to keep up with just how fast this thread is. In fact, up until last night, I was discussing lemontree's post with someone who was not sold on the idea that the supermarket was Pavilions. The same can be said at another BinJin IG thread published yesterday where people were still surprised at the idea that the grocery was not Ralph's. It just so happened yjscap went to the branch this morning. And she allowed me to share her photos and videos. 11
graziea
and the BinJin NIS award goes toooo!!! *drumroll* @ElectricHearts if the concern is SYJ not visiting again the same resort because of the additional theory posted all over SocMed today and that her privacy is put at stake, it has long been exposed. supposing the previous content on the grocery shopping was true--the grocery happening at LA County it will still be the same thing-- her privacy was touched. all in all, there are a number of Pavillion branches around US, so all of these are still assumptions. it's only Mom and Dad who knows the truth. the reactions in twitter were roughly the same with the delight people here in soompi felt when that theory was aired few months back, difference is it's a bigger platform. we are left with accepting the fact that no matter how we want to help them keep their privacy, their sky rocketing fame wouldn't allow it. PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL ! 14 2

NonKoreanMango
I feel as if last couple of days there have been an explosion of media and public attention on Binjin dating. Although all these are crumbs/cookies/cakes that are appreciated, I do feel bad that SYJ is facing this alone with HB busy filming in Jordan. Anyone else?
Ri Se Ri
Yeah, based on someone quite familiar in that place, it was in Pavilions in Newport Beach CA. They might have gone golfing based on their clothes at the Pelican Hill Golf Course. The grocery store is near multi-million dollar houses like Kobe's so he assumes if they got a super rich friend to stay with or they stayed at the resort. He also said that the place (hotel) Yejin attended for the birthday party is Garden Suite in Ktown Los Angeles, which is 1.5 hours drive North from Pelican Golf Club. Well, we cannot state that as a fact though but based on what's circulating online, it feels like it. 2
TotoroSY
@Call Me By My Real Name It would have been nice if you had credited lemontree for the discovery, even if it you did not know it was confirmed here at Soompi. But I don't think we need to spend more energy on this point. As for media and celebrities visiting this forum, it was something a member here claimed and never established. I've always taken that with a big pinch of salt. But I am more inclined to believe that media and management agencies, and maybe the stars themselves, will check Social Media like Insta and Twitter for the latest trending news. @graziea Yes, everyone knows about the grocery incident, and whether it is Ralph's or Pavilion is probably not critical. But linking it to the resort and to YJ's IG post of the same resort and posting the pictures linking them is a concern. Media will likely be more interested in that as the resort theory is a new info. And if Yejin sees this, esp since she is on IG, I believe she will feel awkward and embarrassed about SocMedia talking about it. At least this is how I feel. @PeachesAndCream Yes, Soompi is an open forum. But from what I've observed, media and gossip sites mostly quote info at Insta and Twitter. I have yet to see any quoting Soompi, UNLESS someone on twitter or Insta took info from here and paste it at SocMedia. 9 1

It was mentioned here earlier that the fact that it was Pavilion’s and not Ralphs was previously posted on Weibo. Why did the soompi posters not give credit to those who posted it on Weibo first then? Why is everything a cause for argument? This is not a dissertation and there has been no plagiarism. We are here for the same purpose - trying to enjoy Binjin‘s romance and whatever we can find out about them. Also, a public forum remains a public forum unless access to it is restricted. I don’t think she meant to steal anyone’s thunder. It would have sufficed if anyone had DMd her to point out the previous soompi post. I’m sure she would have acknowledged it. Popular Post graziea
@NonKoreanMango i'd like to believe SYJ is a strong woman with 20 solid years in the industry. and i also like to believe they have expected further scrutiny from the media and fans since they also graced us with crumbs-- synchronous updates, connected statements, liking spree, new-found golfing interest, "how do you know it's meant to be?" and many more. these things led fans and other spectators around them think BinJin is now a single item. SINGLE ENTITY. She doesn't face this alone.. he may be away, but to the both of them, there isn't a single space for distance. remember how Dad immediately denied the "getting-back-with-the-ex" rumors? it may have been a statement from the V/AST agency, but remember V/AST is HB. that happened days before the release of SYJ's CF with SMART. if he didn't deny it, it might screw up MOM's CF release. everything about mom is under his radar. 21
Popular Post Krystal.
Does it really matter which grocery they went to? Or who post what? I understand that a lot of people here are mad because they didn’t give credit where credit is due but maybe they really didn’t see it? this thread moves at least 5 pages a day and it’s hard for non-Soompi users to keep up and understand the flow of things. At the end of the day what really matters is the fact that BinJin where caught doing grocery shopping together so who cares if they went to Ralphs or Pavilions does it really change anything? Grocery shopping is the biggest and in my opinion the strongest receipts from BinJin so let’s try to keep it as something happy and not as a bad memory of this “argument” between shippers on the same boat. On a more happy note today is the 22nd and we usually get BinJin updates every 22nd for the past months now and since we got Yejin update already let’s hope and pray desperately for HB’s update. And there’s one more month until the anniversary of the infamous “wall of HB” on Yejin’s Instagram so it’s a happy day today 27 5 1 4
Popular Post Custo Barc
I think BinJin is growing from a Soompi ship into something much bigger and more widely known/discussed, resulting in some “growing pains”. It’s amazing to see on Twitter, for example, the posts containing the hashtag in so many different languages. BinJin have truly become a worldwide phenomenon, so I hope they stay strong, healthy and happy! That is why I said it would have been nice for her to credit lemontree since she knows. I have no issue at all about other fans excitedly filming that Pavilion and it also excited the rest of the fandom. As for it being posted at weibo first, some of us only found out later AFTER we have celebrated our discovery and investigations. So the hard work was still done, but we didn't know weibo fans already knew some time ago. I think the words "nasty" and "shallow" are very strong words to use. I am sorry if you feel that way about me or the members here. But I don't believe Binjin fans here are nasty and shallow, in fact I think most are very nice, mature and responsible shippers. Most of the time, people just keep quiet when things are taken from Soompi and reposted elsewhere. But in this case, I wanted to give credit where it is due since a lot of investigative work was put in and since the original post was from 2-3 months ago, people have forgotten about it. I was here when all that happened, and so I feel it would be a pity if others did not know. There are new members here too so this is also great info for them. 30 2 2 2
