The wife is so invested into the drama. 9 minutes ago, Andrew - said: She is Team Chihong so it is hilarious to see her reactions when Chihong makes a move "swooon *shrieks*" versus Ikjun making a move "sighh.....poor Chihong." Meanwhile her husband is totally clueless and indifferent. "????" Very cute dynamic haha as team Chihong, her reaction almost exactly my reaction Spoiler this one is hilarious tho 12
Kaizen68 5,244
I had this feeling before that Jeong Won run after Gyeoul when she was chasing the abuser dad. Especially because it seemed that in the next episode we would get some flashback of his POV. 12 6

Popular Post Abs_ triggered 99,934
Quote Jeong Won’s first love has always been God, it’s been quite clear since episode 1. For 20 years, no woman (outside of Rosa) has ever make him doubt that he wants to be a priest (why do you think Mama Rosa asked Gyeo-ul, a total stranger to her? Because she knows her son best). Meeting this wild card of a woman named Gyeo-ul is the root of all his doubts . I couldn’t I agree more ~ she is the answer to his prayer 4 18
strongtower 8,289
Maybe SongHwa's first love or crush be revealed in the last ep. which will shock us all and thereby making her "lovestory" an open ending. But honestly at this point, I am happy with any pairing. The drama itself is too good already. Perfect casting with brilliant storytelling. I couldnt ask for more. Hospital Playlist fighting! I cant believe I have to wait for a year for the next season. Sigh. Will have to watch this season all over again to buy some time. 13
Popular Post nhquan94 538
5 hours ago, bee_wannabe said: Another comment stated that Chi-hong actually asked in past tense, but on the other hand Ikjun answered in present tense. Dear Korean expert friends, is it true? Just as a supplement to @bee_wannabe, - Chi-hong question is: 채송화 교수님 이성으로 느낀 적이 있으시죠? - Ik Jun reply: 응, 있어. 당연하지 (pause) 그게 궁금해? OK let analyze the question first. 1. The structure used is ㄴ/은 적이 있다/없다. Basically this structure used to ask about one's experiences in the past: Did you or didn't you at some certain points in the past do something. 2. The word he used is 이성 = opposite sex. So the friendship is eliminated. He is asking straight forward to man-woman feelings. 3. Considering the Korean culture, people are not asking direct question, they usually used the negative question to ask about something they want to confirmed. For example if they would like to know whether or not you like a movie, they will ask: Don't you like this movie? and we will answer: Yes I do = (OK I like it) or No I Don't = (totally not). They will never ask straightly: DO you like this movie? (ahhhh, what the culture....) However, in the question, Chi-hong used direct question. Plus if he used 있으세요? then the question will equal to "You did have feelings for SHwa Prof, don't you?". However he used 있으시죠, note that 죠 used when you know the fact and just would like to re-confirmed it. So literally the question is: I know that you did love SHwa in the past, do you confirm it? Why he choose to use this direct version, I have two ways to interpret it: - He would like to make clear his intention and he want IK Jun to confirm, no avoidance this time: IK Jun will you confirm that you loved her? This is a stronger version of the negative question. OR - part of him want to hear the opposite answer from IK Jun, he wanted to hear that IK Jun will say NO for this question and this means Chi-hong will have the chance for SHwa (you know, negative of positive is negative, so when Chi-hong asked "YES" actually he expected an NO). Interesting thing is, when Soo-bin first approached this question (where IJ made no comment) she used 느껴 본 적 있다, 없다? She give the 본 (tried) leaving here the uncertain, she also end the question with both options YES or NO mean she has no clue about the answer. Chi-hong in opposite, he knew, so he decide to go direct and leave no way-back for IJ. Now for IK Jun's answer: 1. He used present tense. You can interpret in whichever way you like: - Yes, now I have feeling for SHwa. OR - Yes I did have feeling for SHwa in the past (leaving the possibility of he still love her or not un-confirmed). I tend to the second option, since this seems to be just a grammatical structure. We will never said the past tense 있었다 for this type of grammar. 2. He used SURELY. Haha so the fact that he loved her is undeniable. How come I don't love her? 3. The interesting part is his counter: WHY DO YOU CURIOUS ABOUT THIS? Literally he wanted to ask Chi-hong (You think that who you are to her to ask this kind of question, or You think that who you are to her to curious about this matter?). Considering the fact that Chi-hong is just her Junior, and SHwa already wrote the line to him but he crossed it twice, Chi-hong cannot answer his question as we saw in the story. Seems that IJ is declaring war here, declare his authority to SHwa and Chi-hong will have to consider deeply what is his relationship with SHwa now, do he have the right to fight back? Just sum up, we all know that by drinking the wine IJ already implied that he loved SHwa and SHwa seems fine with it (she smile widely to IJ when he asked her Oh did I just teach the kids to use formal language pla pla....). The atmosphere just become awkward since the time Chi-hong brought it back again (poor Chi-hong, you did not do right this time). Wow can't believe that I wrote that long is for a 30 second screen time. 7 2 3

To be honest, I disagree with comment that Ikjun's answer that create uncomfortable expression of Song-hwa. 1) The fist confession scene of Ep 10; 2) Ikjun's friendly or maybe flirty gestures in the elevator and 3) Ikjun no comment answers + drink the soju --> Songhwa still response it in postive way (smile faces). She started feel uncomfortable when Chi-hong give confronting question to Ikjun. So maybe the cause is not Ikjun confession but because she felt Chi-hong already cross the line and it happened in front of Ikjun -- and she was afraid that it would hurt Ikjun -- and it bothered Ikjun. That's why Song-hwa continue to feel uncomfortable until karaoke scene (seeing Ikjun low mood). Aigoo, I am sorry that I am still stuck at this scene while I should move on already 12 8

Texas 7
"Nothing is sadder than a missed opportunity." 20 years is a long time to spend living your life before making up your mind about what you really want. Time does not stand still, and others do not remain at your beck and call. It is understandable how and why Song-hwa may be reticent an confused by Ik-joon's admissions, and there is really no reason for her to drop to her knees and give thanks or reciprocate. Conversely, the ardent attention of Chi-hong, while overtly direct and disturbingly off-putting at times, is at least honest...and fresh and new. He brings only love, without cumbersome and obligatory baggage. How would it be to get to really know him and enjoy him, away from the madding crowd and all the watchful eyes? He can visit Sokcho! He may be just "what the doctor ordered!" Love does not always stand the test of time. People age, have experiences, develop, change and adjust values, and with any luck, they grow up. Maturity means accepting disappointing circumstances and doing everything possible to live one's best life with respect to others and laws. Nobody gets everything right, but that doesn't mean it is plausible to be unrealistic. I hope Dr. Chae gets to know the man who was brave enough and man enough to let her know he wants her now. The fellow who has been circling for 20 years can always be a friend since that's what he decided he wanted at the beginning. 1 1

Mama Rosa and Jeongsu found out from the other executive doctor (Dr Ju?) and I think Songhwa has an inkling when he told her to take over Daddy Long Legs, but the rest of the gang don’t know right? Or did I miss something? Jun Wan and Ikjun saw his recommendation letter (for italy seminary, if I am not wrong). So they kinda know.
Popular Post Abs_ triggered 99,934
@Lawyerh @triplem @ktcjdrama The door theory Jeong Won opening a close door lead him to long time friendship .. ~ You know how exit signs are bright and red and at times we’re blind to what’s behind? The doors are just subliminal metaphors that lead us through life. We never know, but we take a chance and open it .. Spoiler .. A mere door , can give images of admiration ~ temptation ~protecting ~ desire ~ security ~ hesitation ~ greeting ~ respect If one were to give an account of all the doors one has closed and opened, of all the doors one would like to re-open, one would have to tell the story of one's entire life. # not inspired with hit the door jack 13 13 9

sakura22 6,690
it seems that some people are so hung up over a 20 years "unrequited" first love(s). Some people are lucky to marry or meet their first love again, yet in reality most moved on from theirs despite staying unrequited or ending it with a heartbreak. The most important thing is not their past, but their present. Their feelings today is what's more important, the person in their mind and heart - the one they wish to be with today is more important than their past. Their past first love carry much less weight than their current thoughts and feelings. In the end, it's good to remind ourselves that their individual present is their own choice. Our own bias and who we think "suits" them "better" are ours and not theirs. Their ending is their decision. To those pointing out how Gyeo Ul was introduced in Episode 1, has a good reasonable screen time and appears in every episode's preview - thank you. I would love to see more of Gyeo Ul and her growth. I hope the crying scene is not of Gyeo Ul confessing or asking (begging) him to stay. I would like Gyeo Ul to remains to respect herself and keep a high standards about her feelings. There is another surgery scenes with winter garden - so I am also guessing the possibility that this surgery, running and even crying scene may be related to this new patient (or present patient) and for them to save the patient. That Gyeo Ul is confiding in him the same way Jeong Won has been confiding in his priest brother. 11
