To add to @tok-soompi's great explanation about their first encounter - Ji Min and Hae In did not have a scene together in Salut D'Amor, so the only time they met prior to OSN was during the Salut D' Amor team's bbq dinner.  He probably took charge in grilling the meat at his table, and JM noticed it and praised his bbq skills.  Ji Min must have left a great impression on him because since their encounter, Hae In named Ji Min as the most beautiful celeb he had ever seen, she's like a doll, and would like to work with her.  He subsequently mentioned HJM in 2 separate magazine interviews.

Like @tok-soompi said, JM had forgotten that she praised his bbq skills, but Hae In still remembered it (of course he would) and mentioned it at one of OSN's interviews. 

 

His dream came true through OSN drama.  When he first heard about her casting, he kept checking in with his agency and asking whether Ji Min had really accepted the drama and signed the contract.  He laughingly said this during Vlive interview in front of JM during OSN promotion.  The host teased him saying he had to be really wanting to work with her.  He affirmed it.:D

***canceled post** I didn't realize there is already eng translation for that Disney+ interview**  so that I am not leaving the post blank, here is a random photo of HI fooling around with JM's staff. The other guy is HI's mgr. 

JM left a comment asking when did they take the pictures (complaining because she wasn't in the pics). Lol

Hae In was invited to JM's stylist's bday gathering.  The birthday girl thanked "Hae In oppa" and "Ji Min sister, I love u" and  others.

In Paik's Spirit, Ji Min mentioned her go to hangover food of late is porridge or burger.  The burger is a surprise to me because she didn't strike me as a burger person, but we do know who loves burgers. He became a burger mania while in NY.

Also in Paik's Spirit, JM's fave soup ramen is spicy Jin ramen. It's interesting because 1) she changed on her fave ramen from Noguri to spicy jin. 2) it is well-known among HI's fans, his fave ramen is spicy Jin. There are different types of Jin ramen but JM somehow nailed it on the specific Jin ramen. 3)JM already knew HI's fave ramen because she asked him before and he told her. She further inquired whether his fans knew about his ramen preference, he said yes. I can't believe that JM loves ramen so much that she would try every newly released ramen!! Koreans take their ramen very seriously.   Those MSG and preservatives can't possibly be good for the body. Lol. 

But, of course, this could just be a pure coincidence.  Afterall, JM really likes spicy food, like crazy spicy to the point of having a stomachache. Aigoo JM.
