300_400_han.jpg&key=afe930e2b5161324b48a
Eun Dong Joo ( Han Ji Hye ) isn’t eye-catching, but the more you get to know her, the more you are drawn to her just like wild flower. She had a happy childhood under a father who owned a shoe factory. However, her life becomes bumpy after her mother passes away and her father brings stepmother. When her father passes away, the stepmother has her biological daughter take the place of Dong Joo to steal the assets that are under Dong Joo’s name and leaves her at an orphanage. Despite the mental and physical distress, she is strong spirited, but she is lonely and has a void in her heart. She meets the person that can fill that void and he is detective Cha Pil Seung, who has dreamed the same dream as her since their childhood. They actually met a long time ago. He is part of Dong Joo’s last happy memory at the Golden Garden right before her stepmother abandoned her 27 years ago. She was happy as she chased after fireflies that shone like gold. Pil Seung was with her even when her stepmother caused a huge car accident in order to abandon her.

Cha Pil Seung (Lee Sang Woo) dates women, but doesn’t plan to get married nor to start a family. His father was a doctor and he had a happy family. However, he loses his parents in a hit-and-run accident on their way home from the Golden Garden Festival in Busan when he was 7. He was raised by his grandmother and had a comfortable life, but struggles with nightmares of the trauma he experienced. Happy memories, flashbacks of the accident and guilt of letting criminals get away have made him a cynic. It seems as if he’s enjoying his life as a single man, but he feels lonely in a corner of his heart. Then he meets Eun Dong Joo, who shares the same nightmares as him. The two people meet through Joon Gi’s hit-and-run accident, feel drawn to each other and fall in love, but find out that Dong Joo is the daughter of the woman that ran away after hitting his parents 27 years ago.

She was always known for her looks since she was little and her mother had high hopes for her. However, she has a tough childhood after her parents get divorced and she is raised by an alcoholic father. When her stepfather passes away, she goes with her mother, who suddenly comes to see her, and lives a life of someone else after changing her name to Eun Dong Joo. Having conflicts with her mother who drives her hard with hopes of becoming rich, she runs away in her senior year of high school and moves in with her boyfriend. Together, they have a son, but being sick of poverty, she goes back to her mother and starts burying her past. A decade later, she makes a grand comeback as the Korean-American social media influencer Sabina. Due to her looks and influence, she becomes a celebrity in the cosmetics industry, and captures the interest of Choi Joon Gi, the heir of Stars Cosmetics. Nevertheless, Eun Dong Joo, the owner of the life she is living, and her son stands in her way.

He is the only son of rich parents, but his parents didn’t get along and he never felt loved during his childhood. He married the woman his mother chose for him, but ends up getting a divorce within a year, disappointing his parents. One day, an angel shows up in his life. It’s the highly ambitious Sabina. His mother disapproves of Sabina the day he formally introduces her, and he ends up hitting someone with the car while drunk driving and chasing after her, but flees the scene. He takes Sabina’s advice to keep it a secret and they get married. He forgets about the accident and dreams of starting a happy family, but Sabina’s greed knows no end. He tries to persuade her to stop, but she doesn’t listen to him. With the power of love, Joon Gi decides to risk everything he has to recover the human nature in her.

by C. Hong

Han Ji Hye and Lee Sang Woo might be reuniting for another weekend drama!

On April 23, a source reported that Lee Sang Woo had received a casting offer for the upcoming MBC weekend drama “Golden Garden” (literal translation). He was reportedly cast in the lead role, Cha Pil Seung, a police detective with a traumatic past.

At the same time, Han Ji Hye’s name had been floated for the role of the female lead, Eun Dong Joo. Lee Sang Woo and Han Ji Hye had previously worked together on the KBS weekend drama “Marry Me Now,” which wrapped up last September.

Later on April 23, a source from MBC stated that Han Ji Hye and Lee Sang Woo were both positively reviewing their offers.

“Golden Garden” tells the story of four people who have lived totally different lives from one another but get involved in each other’s lives due to an incident. Written by Park Hyun Joo and directed by Lee Dae Young, it is expected to premiere sometime in July.

Han Ji Hye, Lee Sang Woo, And More Confirmed To Star In Upcoming Weekend Drama

by Y. Kim
8dcc67a49dd64155bb833982b01cf3b5.jpeg?s=

MBC’s upcoming weekend drama “Golden Garden” (literal translation) confirmed Han Ji Hye, Lee Sang Woo, Oh Ji Eun, and Lee Tae Sung as the lead roles. The mystery romance drama will tell the story of Eun Dong Joo (played by Han Ji Hye) attempting to truly live her life to its fullest.

“Golden Garden” is a collaborative project between director Lee Dae Young, who directed “Be Strong, Geum Soon,” “Father, I’ll Take Care of You,” and more, and screenwriter Park Hyun Joo, who wrote “Hooray For Love,” “Man Who Sets the Table,” and more. The expectations are high given that their collaboration in “Flower of the Queen” four years ago was a big hit.

Han Ji Hye’s character Eun Dong Joo was abandoned at an orphanage at the age of six. She does not remember anything aside from her name and grows up as a cheerful woman who endures her life despite many hardships. With Han Ji Hye’s success in “The Legendary Witch,” “Marry Me Now,” and many more dramas, the expectations are high for the success of her next project in terms of viewership ratings.

Lee Sang Woo will be acting the role of Cha Pil Seung, a man who is as cold-hearted as can be when it comes to love. Cha Pil Seung, the grandson of a wealthy woman, is a detective with a very high arrest rate. Despite his popularity among women due to his handsome looks, he is not easily seduced because of the wounds from having lost his parents when he was young. As Lee Sang Woo’s first role as a detective, it will be interesting to see how he differentiates this character from his previous roles in “Marry Me Now,” “Touch Your Heart,” and others.

Actress Jung Young-ju, MBC 'Golden Garden' appearance confirmed!

Chung Young-joo was a middle-aged novelist Shin-An-Sook, who also combined his beauty with a brilliant rhetoric and a clever gesture of self-destruction. Born as a daughter of a poor miner, she spent her childhood years hard, but because of her abhorrence of poverty in the world, she lives with a firm belief that "the beauty should never be poor."

Unpopular opinion: I don't really like this leading couple. There are both good actors but they seriously lacked chemistry in Marry Me Now/Shall We Live Together. <_< I wish they had tried a new pairing.

Update today .....

Lee Sang Woo greeted us with his sunshine smile this noon ...while he was doing his walk in the park

Little sweety child actress greeted us with a bright and cheerful smile this afternoon too. Seo Yeon will play role of Lee Sa Lang.  She will have same family name as role of other child actor, Jang Jun Hyuk. I wonder how they are all related to main leads.

Look forward to start of Golden Garden.

Good day to all

MBC new weekend special project 'Golden Garden' antique posters were released. Elegant figure of four main actors 'Han Ji Hye - Lee Sang Woo - Oh Ji Eun - Lee Tae Sung' in the frame of an antique frame is filled with an eerie atmosphere, and captures the attention at a glance.

The main four poster is attracted by the subtle facial expressions of Han Ji Hye - Lee Sang Woo - Oh Ji Eun - Lee Tae Sung in an antique picture frame. Four people dress in classical style with old-fashioned dresses and neat suits. In particular, the four people 's expressions are meaningful and attract attention. Han Ji-hye is a pure white blouse and has pure eyes. Lee Sang-woo, whose head is clean and clear, is gazing at Han Ji-hye, raising his interest in how the two people will show the relationship. On the other hand, Oh Jie, who is looking at the front with a firm expression, reveals his anxiety in the eyes of his gorgeous tiara, and stimulates his curiosity. However, in the upper frame, Lee Tae-sung looks at me somewhere. The poster with the main four expects the fate of four unusual people and raises questions about the dramatic story surrounding them.
