I rewatched the Shin Jae scene and I realized something - he’s not telling her how he feels because he wants her to love him back and stay with him - he’s making a plea with her to save herself and let him go die instead.  He’s wants to do that because he loves her too.  Both men only want HER to live, with no regard for themselves.

This biss gets two men like this and I can’t even find one to buy me a seafood dinner.

Which takes me back to my point - I am SURE that SJ will be marching in behind JY and LG on the night of treason :)

I JUST WANNA BE RIGHT

Yep and instead of JY, I guess it could be SJ who would sacrifice himself in the end.

That kinda explains why he got so much scene and character exploration in the whole series.

If LG and JY go back in time to save young LG and kill off LR before he can travel to ROK and murder LG's doppleganger and his family, then I can assume none of the incidents and chain of events in the future will happen. Here's what I predit as possible outcome in episode 16.

Possible outcome: JTE never meets LG but meets LG's doppleganger in ROK. She doesn't keep her past memories. He doesn't know her, but they both seem to have a connection.

I am guessing that the second round, its going to be LG, JY, JTE and SJ together. Because SJ loves JTE, and I just don't see him letting her escort LR alone through the portal alone.

7) They catch LR. Don’t ask me how SJ made it that far. Wasn’t he supposed to have been frozen? Lol. But it is what it is.

Not sure if this has been commented, for point 7.

Time was unfrozen then.

Hence the moment LR tried to shoot LG again, bang!

His leg was shot and everyone screams.

I wish JY aim for the heart but they needed him.. *shrugs*

Like you do, I need to finish the backreading, I'm in page 736, still stuck in the past here.  :sweatingbullets:

Are you in present already? This is me.. from the past finally catching up on your post.

This is the episode I've been waiting for in regards to SJ.  I don't even like him all that much - so I'm not sure why I'm so invested.

I don't mind that he confessed his feelings to JTE.  He spent years hiding his feelings, and has no oppositions to JTE/LG together at this point.  He respects that he lost. But LG has already made it clear that he's going to die to save the world.  SJ and JY both offered to go to the grave with him.  And now JTE is declaring that she will do it.  SJ will let LG die to fix the world, and he'll let himself die, but he won't let JTE die.  But he still chooses to do the right thing - he honors and respects her decisions.

Sorry for cutting your post short but this is what I felt with regards to SJ too.

I don't hate/like him but I'm intrigued on his backstory. I'm constantly worried that he will turn his back on JTE but man.. this boy is loyal to JTE through and through.

When he declared his love to JTE, man.. I'm heartbroken for him but he still honors and respects her decisions.

THIS... THIS IS WHAT BROKE ME WHEN HE TEARED.

Not just with JTE's pleading.  But based on his emotions.

It was just on point!

Someone gave an idea of beach towel. :joy:

I guess it's more cost effective this way since I've pretty used A LOT of my stash watching episode 15 again and again.

I just hope episode 16 don't require the use of any at all.

Wait are we going to get an ending where we see the alternative timeline where LG and JY goes back to save  young LG but also kills LL which saves LG's doppleganger from dying as a child, and he grows up to be an adult. Young LG grows up not knowing who JTE is because he never got the nametag, and therefore never went to ROK to meet JTE in Episode 1. Time jump to  2022, JTE has no memory of LG but suddenly meets LG's doppleganger and feels some kind of connection. Ending the series.

Nooooooooooooooo!

I'll swear off watching any KES drama if that's the ending.

Come to think of it.

That cctv footage of JTE in front of the bookshop and yoyo kid looking right at all of us...

Is that a sign to tell us all that all is good..

The King is still watching the cctv of his Queen since he basically can't go out as freely as her? LOL **optimism coming back** :joy:

But he's been dealt the worst hand in this entire show.

But the choices that he makes are always good.  He has the opportunity to become a gang member or to find a better path with JTE.  He chose JTE.  All those times that JY and LG asked him for help, he complained and rolled his eyes, but he did it.

I don't mind that he confessed his feelings to JTE.  He spent years hiding his feelings, and has no oppositions to JTE/LG together at this point.  He respects that he lost. I wish we had gotten this earlier in the show - the sheer POWER when LG and JY have when SJ joins them is incredible.  In a different lifetime, SJ could've been another JY.  He has the ambition, moral goodness, and ability to have worked himself out of the slums in KOC to become a trusted friend to the King, if he had the opportunity.

I am a blabbering mess again.

One more episode to go, and here are two questions still unanswered:

1. What exactly is LR's evil goal? To be king of KOC? That would be the most basic understanding, but what was his plan? I initially thought he was building an parallel army to be in imported to KOC for a rebellion but it doesn't seem like it. So was it for the flute? But then for what? When he knelt before LG, he said now you can get "eternity and infinity". But what exactly is that? To live in the in between world forever? Why is that attractive? Or is it both? To be the Eternal Monarch? And so what was the plot to present LG's mother still alive at the Memorial Service and declare that a parallel world exists? What is that meant to achieve?

2. Now that we understand SJ's role, the role that still puzzles me is KSR. What was the purpose of the role? Was she just a pawn for LR, to get the king or the kingdom? I thought from the end of the last episode that with LR eliminated in a timeloop, she would turn out to the bigger antagonist. But Ep 15 still presents her as a pawn and a victim. So was she nothing more than a pretty second lead that poses a potential threat of stealing LG. But she was never a real threat.

Honestly, IMO, the villian's motivation and plan was poorly written. None of it made any sense. Also, what was the point of PM Koo killing off her doppleganger? They never really explained anything.

He wants to first get eternal life and he can get it with the whole flute without being in the between. I guess after eternal life he would seek power and he seems to be patient and not in hurry with gaining throne immediately first thing is first for him which is eternity. His ambition is pretty simple laid out and if you watch the show you will understand it immediately. He used 25 years swapping people in order to gain power in both worlds replacing powerful ppl with their peasants counterparts in order to have powerful elite people in high places.

How do you think they managed to kill that woman in Jail and the camera's went off just like that he has alot of power both in ROK and KOC thru swapping people.

Example that pregnant woman she was influential and powerful figure in KOC so he replaced her with her peasant counterpart in order to gain a high positive in the KOC government

Sorry to cut your post short but THIS is exactly how I feel.

I don't hate or like SJ but I'm intrigued with his backstory and honestly, I do feel sad for him when he finally realised he was from KOC and when he asked JTE if she will welcome him.

And I'm also always on the edge and worried that SJ will break JTE's heart and betray her after seeing him shift the real LSJ out if the care centre and we were not shown if JTE is aware.

And when he confessed his love for JTE, that broke me.

Yes bro.. you're too late but man... why is it so painful?

With every JTE's desperate pleas and he trying to hold on to JTE and that tears?

Those emotions are on point!

THAT BROKE ME COMPLETELY!

And yet he still honors and respects her decision.

So you see.. he is the black horse here and I'm always constantly rooting for him despite my fear for his betrayal.

And ladies and gentlemen, that brings me to LOSING  AND STUCK WITH LR's photo for now.

edit: sorry for double posting this. This is actually the updated feeling. LOL

That's why LR told TE that he already prepared hell for LG and PM Koo. He already did the switch for PM Koo's mom and also kill Se Jin so no one is available for the throne except LR if LG died.

But why would the throne go to LR?

He's supposed to be "dead" in KOC.

I thought he would bring back evil nasty cousin to be the puppet King since he is the so called "last" royal.

They deserve this very very much. Our OTP sacrificed their love for the world to be rid of Lee Rim. They need to be rewarded for that.

Although, with Lee Sejin dying, I feel like Lee Gon will be king and JTE will be his queen.

Yes. Thank you.

I want LG and JTE to be King and Queen and they can both travel in between place and be eternal together!

@kboramint I think it’s because she figured out right away that he could swap her with a doppelgänger if she mucks it up.  So she went and killed her other self first - so that LL would be forced to use her instead of replacing her.

But whereas LG and JTE focus on their loved ones and protected them, PM failed to realize that her MOTHER could be swapped too, until right before it was too late.
