The second episode of the Netflix drama series, <The King : Eternal Monarch>, features a scene in which Lee Gon(Lee Min-ho), the monarch of the Korean Empire, becomes absorbed in thoughts in front of a poster showing royal portraits that he found after wandering around in the Republic of Korea, an unknown parallel world of the Korean Empire. This stone building, which shows the modern style of the early 20th century, was used as the head office of the Bank of Korea, and was reborn as the Money Museum in 2001 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the bank's founding.
