lexicon
These two episodes were for me were just excellent. This was probably the first time in this series that I actually enjoyed both episodes almost equally. Firstly, if there are still people out there bashing the chemistry or the lack thereof between LG and JTE, I hope these two episodes have proved you otherwise. These two have had sweet moments throughout, some that were great, some not so much, and some of the times these moments felt isolated or disconnected. With these last two episodes there was a build up, and one thing led to another. That "to-the-rescue hug scene" was one of the best I have ever seen. The way LG declared JTE his queen, without even batting an eyelid, on the commotion it is about to create in his kingdom. He did not need an answer from JTE anymore. I liked the cut-back to where when she tells him that she will live only for today - in response to him asking her again to be his queen. I guess LG took a leaf from her page, and decided to do the same. Clearly he learnt from last time and ensured that JTE stayed with him . LG definitely knew this time he was going to get "scandalous" with JTE, and he sure did not disappoint . There were quite a lot of revelations - court lady Noh (clearly the parallel universes and the travels between them have a history), PM Koo ( how did this happen, or did I miss something?) The Yo-Yo kid saying he warns against threats and battles enemies. I am enjoying the conversations between Shin Jae and Jo Young, hope to see more of them. It will be interesting to see Luna's dynamics in all of this, now that she seems to have "replaced" JTE. My one question is why did they not kill JTE in ROK, but rather dragged and kept her in KOC? I hope JTE stays on, I have always enjoyed LG and JTE more in KOC. Hope the next four episodes carry in well from here! 13

But then he realize LG would want to get JTE back even if she's dead so in the end LR told his men to get her back even if they have to kill her. 6
Prettysup
I wonder why do those scars affect some and not the others? And what does Lee Lim mean when he said that woman has the face of his nephew's mother? Does this mean the king and Shin-jae are brothers ??
LRM11219311
I don’t think Lady Noh is LR’s mother. She’s too loyal to LG to be LR’s eomma. I think she has feelings for Prince buyeong . 4
binniejinniecultivator
THIS.IS.SO.SENSUAL. It's like LG's asking permission to be inconsiderate when she looked at her before continuing to kiss her. AND, she didn't move. *Tae Eul showing her shoulders if she has the mark* Lee Gon: This hurts even more. (Resisting the sexual tension is greater than the pain on his shoulder) Tae Eul is so shook so she didn't speak a word. Like "Go on Pyeha, go on." I didn't sleep well after watching this. Can we get the continuation on the next episode 3 13

Is it bec the door is closing? I’m not sure I follow this part. This is one of my favorite scenes. It’s beautiful, deep and poignant. My interpretation: in this moment, he knows his time left with her will be short lived. Similar to what JTE experienced at the end of episode 10, I believe this was a moment of awakening for him. They’ve always known they must restore balance and close the gates but they’ve both buried their feelings about their inevitable separation and chose to live in the moment. As time stops right before his eyes yet another time though, he knew it was his duty to prevent it from stopping forever. He needs to close the gates. He cries because it hurts. If they are separated by worlds, I assume the pain they’d feel is the same as the pain we feel when someone we love passes away. We have to remember that being separated by worlds means they can no longer contact each other. Their relationship is long distance but 100x worse than that. No, they cannot call each other on the phone and no, they cannot write to each other through mail or the internet. He understands this all too well so he cries because it pains him to know she will be “gone” forever one day, very soon. What makes this scene even more heart breaking is the coincidence of him realizing that as they are ready to take a photo. This photo will later be the only thing that he has left of her, to remind him of their time together and to remind him that she is real. Yes, it may have been a coincidence but now, this photo is his way of holding onto her. And I can’t pay appreciation to the beauty of this scene without speaking about lmh and his phenomenal performance. You can just see he’s trying hard to hold back his tears and he’s nearly shaking as he fails to stop himself from crying. He portrayed LG’s hidden suffering flawlessly as he went from crying to recollecting himself to faking a smile in front of the camera. The way lmh portrayed LG here has so many layers. He made me cry with LG. I feel his deep suffering and it pains me to see him put up a front. I’m a sucker for characters like LG, the type that suffers silently. I feel the feels for him. I want to hug him. 12 10 11 1

And what does Lee Lim mean when he said that woman has the face of his nephew's mother? Does this mean the king and Shin-jae are brothers ?? She's LG's doppelganger's mother so she has the same face as LG's mother. That woman isn't SJ's mom. SJ's current mom is the gambler addict, while his real mom is the one who got poisoned this episode. The woman LR is threatening is the same woman from episode 1 whose husband and son were killed by him and then she laughed at her husband's death. As for the scars, I think only LR doesn't feel the pain from it. Everyone else seemed to feel the pain from it. If you're asking why some has the scar and some don't, we don't know for sure yet. Right now we only have some theories to that answer. I personally think there's two factors into getting the scar, one, you have to have crossed worlds before and two, your doppelganger have to been killed by someone of another world. Some others theorized it may be due to the reason they crossed worlds. Edited May 24, 2020 by koreaboooo
Popular Post briseis
THE KING TAKES HIS QUEEN! By kdrama standards, this is basically porn. Spoiler Lee Gon finally decides to throw all consideration out of the window, because it’s been destroying his love life, and demonstrates to Tae Eul what it means to be DOWNRIGHT SCANDALOUS. The neck kiss! It’s so unbelievably sensual and you can see the mix of shock and bliss on TE’s face. Spoiler I adore the final pause for two reasons. First, the way Lee Gon looks at Tae Eul with aching longing, when his gaze lingers on her lips and then he looks back up right into her eyes, caressing her chin, and you can sense there is this wordless communication going on between them, as if he’s asking her “I want you. Do you want me too?”. He’s giving her the chance to stop and refuse but at this point it’s obvious that she wants him as much as he wants her because there is only longing and anticipation in her eyes. Second, because they don’t talk it really promotes the idea that love is in the eyes. Spoiler It’s such a perfect moment for them to make love because they have already done it all - confessing, kissing and only last night they even killed people together - they both are aware that they might never have a forever together but they can have this night which adds the sense of urgency and need to this moment. I was expecting this: He trailed his finger along her throat, and leaned closer to smell and nuzzled her neck. JTE gasped in surprise and let her head fall back exposing her throat to him, and savoring the warmth of his touch. LG slipped his hand under her hair and held her neck, his lips brushing hers as he spoke, “Do you remember the first time we kissed?” I expected it to be heat burning slow kiss that took more than 3 minutes. Not a peck on neck and another peck on lips and a less than 2 second deep kiss that we couldn't see well. They might be making baby LG in there alright. But the foreplay just wasn't what it was promised. Where is the fatal lethal part? I wasn't dead, my mouth didn't drop, my heart wasn't pounding fast. It's all the leaked stills' fault. My expectation was built up too high. Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha Get back to western shows chingu, you’re not going to get that here in the kdramaland, especially not on a public channel like sbs I feel like I’ve just read porn Maybe we should kick out writer Kim and have you write all the love scenes from now on! This show can use your expertise in writing sensual love making scenes I’m starting a petition! 3 21

Jemrie
Spoiler ------------------- I think Lee Gon is confused on what “scandalous” means Because sometimes he’s like this: Spoiler But then he gets all startled at seeing Tae-eul’s collarbone: Spoiler ------------------------------- Just finished episode 12. The kdrama gods heard me wanting a faster pace and that’s what we got. I wish they’d picked up the pace a few episodes earlier. Less of the evil uncle brooding and more of Lee Gon solving the mystery and Tae-eul being a badass would have been nice sooner than later. My concern is now that we have four episodes left, they’re going to cram everything and may leave a lot of plot holes. I’m curious to see how they’ll resolve everything and reveal the mystery of the parallel world traveling. This kdrama really had a lot of potential, Let’s hope the last couple of episodes live up for our expectation. 12

It's all internal I should add, JY showed his sexy chest, and that's more than the scene I wrote. 1

His love for her expands through universe and time. No matter how far or how long he has to wait, he will just to even spend a few minutes with her. We can see that in the end of episode 10. Even if he has to turn back time to fix everything he would still choose a future to meet her again. When his future self went back in time, he chose not to kill LR when that itself would've solved all the problems in the world, but he paused when pointing the gun at LR. It can be said LR is the reason for his fate and JTE's fate to cross. 5 1
