According to insiders, Jang Ki Yong will star as the male lead in tvN's upcoming drama "Youth Records" next year. Based on the background of supermodels, "Youth Records" tells the tale of the growth of youth and pains. It will be penned by Ha Myung Hee who wrote "Doctor" and "Temperature of Love" and directed by PD Ahn Gil Ho who had previously directed "Secret Forest" and "Memories of the Alhambra".

After 4 years Jang Ki Yong will work with Park So Dam again since KBS2's "Beautiful Mind" (2016), who will play the female lead.

[News/Movie] 2020.01.09 Movie "Sweet & Sour" Has Wrapped Filming

After approx. 4 months of filming, the movie wrapped up on Dec 23. The movie is said to premiere some time this year. Yay! Looking forward to it and fingers crossed it'll be a sweet romance.

On the last day of filming, Jang Ki Yong said, “Thank you to everyone who gave me the gift of good memories on ‘Sweet and Sour,’ particularly director Lee Gye Byuk. I really want to work with him again.”

Chae Soo Bin said, “This was a production made through the sincere hearts of the cast and crew, including the director. The weather was cold but our hearts were warm. Please look forward to the film.”

Krystal, for whom this is her first commercial film, said, “I think the time went by too fast. The atmosphere on set was always fun and I really enjoyed making this project step-by-step with everyone. After it ends, I think I will miss it dearly.”

Director Lee Gye Byuk concluded, “Thank you to the cast and crew, who worked hard together. This is a film that is closest to my heart of all the productions I’ve worked on so far, and I have big expectations for it. I will work hard on post-production and show the audience something even better.”

Jang Ki Yong And Lee Soo Hyuk Reviewing Offers For Male Lead Roles In New Mystery Romance Drama

Jang Ki Yong and Lee Soo Hyuk may be starring in a new drama together!

On January 21, Ilgan Sports reported that Jang Ki Yong and Lee Soo Hyuk will be starring in KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Born Again” (literal translation).

Following reports, a source from their agency YG Entertainment shared, “Jang Ki Yong and Lee Soo Hyuk are currently reviewing [casting offers for] ‘Born Again.'”

“Born Again” tells the story of a detective, the detective’s lover, and a serial killer who loved the detective’s lover. Although their lives ended 32 years ago, death became a new beginning for them when they reincarnated into a prosecutor, a bone archaeology instructor, and a medical student, rekindling their twisted fates once again.

Jang Ki Yong is in talks to play the role of Cha Hyung Bin, who used to be a detective in 1986 and is reborn in 2020 as the prosecutor Kim Soo Hyuk of the remains excavation team. Although he gives off a sharp and cold impression, he’s overflowing with passion on the inside. He’s also a tough character who says whatever he wants regardless of whether or not it hurts someone or makes them feel uncomfortable.

Lee Soo Hyuk is in talks to play a serial killer from 1986 who transforms into medical student Cheon Jong Beom in 2020. With great proportions, flawless skin, and a dark gaze on an expressionless face, he’s the walking embodiment of a beautiful statue. He also controls the people around him without their awareness and makes them want to gain his approval.

“Born Again” will be produced by director Jin Hyung Wook and written by scriptwriter Jung Soo Mi. The drama is expected to premiere in April.

Actors Jang Ki-yong and Lee Soo-hyuk could be in a drama.

According to some sources, Jang Ki-yong and Lee Soo-hyuk were said to be starring in the new KBS 2TV drama "Born Again". YG Entertainment clarified, "They are considering it".

"Born Again" is about a dead detective, his lover and a serial killer who used to have a crush on her 32 years ago, being reborn into a prosecutor, an archaeologist and a medical student.

Jang Ki-yong was offered the role of Kim Soo-hyeok, an archaeologist who was a detective named Cha Hyeong-bin in 1986. Lee Soo-hyuk is considering the role of Cheon Jong-beom, a medical student who used to be a serial killer in 1986.

Jang Ki Yong and Lee Soo Hyuk have confirmed their roles in KBS’s new drama “Born Again” (working title)!

“Born Again” is a reincarnation drama about a detective, the detective’s lover, and a serial killer who loved the detective’s lover. Their lives ended 32 years ago but their fates become entangled again when they are reincarnated into new lives.

The details of Jang Ki Yong and Lee Soo Hyuk’s roles have changed since the original reports. Jang Ki Yong will be playing the lone wolf Gong Ji Chul in 1986, who refuses to share the fate of his purely evil father. In 2020, Jang Ki Yong will be playing the elite medical student Chun Jong Bum.

Lee Soo Hyuk will be playing the pure-hearted detective Cha Hyung Bin in 1986 and the prosecutor Kim Soo Hyuk, who only believes in DNA evidence, in 2020.

“Born Again” is scheduled to premiere sometime in April.

Jang Ki Yong is giving off lonely vibes with his new drama role.

KBS2’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Born Again” is a reincarnation drama about a detective, the detective’s lover, and a serial killer who loved the detective’s lover. Their lives ended 32 years ago but their fates become entangled again when they are reincarnated into new lives. The drama stars Jang Ki Yong, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Jin Se Yeon.

Playing dual roles, Jang Ki Yong is Gong Ji Chul in the 1980s, while in 2020, Jang Ki Yong is the elite medical student Chun Jong Bum.

The newly released stills show Jang Ki Yong as the lone wolf Gong Ji Chul, who refuses to share the fate of his purely evil father. The scar below his left eye raises questions as to what kinds of events he has experienced in his life. In one image, Jang Ki Yong is inside the secondhand bookstore Old Future. It will be interesting to see what brings him to the bookstore and how he is connected to its owner Jung Ha Eun (played by Jin Se Yeon).

The producers of “Born Again” shared, “You will be able to see a side of Jang Ki Yong that you haven’t seen before. He is explicitly portraying the complicated and mysterious aura of Gong Ji Chul. Please watch the premiere to see what stories Gong Ji Chul has to tell and how Jang Ki Yong has transformed for the role.”

“Born Again” is slated to begin airing in April.
