My thoughts about this:

 

The moment JH receives the watch from SR, maybe it will happen at his garden so the rat will know about it. Then the rat will approach him and he will confess what he heard during those days. The rat will also tell him about his brother’s last words regarding his little brother and I hope that their dad hears about it too. That way their dad will definitely help our captain Ri to leave NK to pursue his dreams (piano and being together with the love of his life, SR)

From the photo taken of him shooting today (or maybe yesterday) I saw on the instagram, I reckon the plot maybe, just maybe that he went to China to meet Seri.. maybe.. Ah, the wait to Saturday is torturing me LOL.

I know I am kinda late to the party but I do want to post my speculations about the plot - though not as far into the future as the ending as yet; but just the immediate next 2 episodes or so.

 

I think it is Jeong Hyeok’s father who had SeRi kidnapped after SD approached him to tell him what has been happening. Think SD’s intentions are good as she does not want Jeong Hyeok’s and his family’s future ruined. So Jeong Hyeok’s dad had SeRi kidnapped and they got her to call him and the gunshot was intentionally done so that he would forget about her. Think at this point of kidnapping her, the dad doesn’t yet have a clear plan on what to do with SeRi. Jeong Hyeok’s father would later hear from his son that it’s worse than being dead not knowing if SeRi was safe and well, the dad would cave in and reveal to him her whereabouts. Jeong Hyeok will be reunited with SeRi, only briefly though.
 

Then Kim Soo Hyun’s character will appear. He might be Jeong Hyeok’s brother’s good friend, maybe someone in Div 11; someone who can help SeRi get back to South safely. I am guessing he’s in Div 11 coz Kim Soo Hyun appears as cameo and from the stills released, he’s most definitely a North Korean soldier and it’ll be difficult to expect him to speak perfect North Korean Satoori. So being in Div 11 and having lived in SK as a spy would be most convenient. Besides, in that way, he can help SeRi get back to SK safely. A fake marriage with Seung Joon can’t do the trick. If I am not wrong, it is nigh impossible for a foreign marriage to be registered in NK; and if the fake marriage was between fake North Korean Sam Suk and British citizen Seung Jun it’s even more impossible. So I think Writer will give SeRi a more realistic passage back to South Korea.
 

There were some IG updates about the F4 (or some of you call them the ducklings) taking a break and there was also an IG update of SYJ and the ahjummas. From these IG updates, my guess is that the story would move from the NK to elsewhere but I don’t think it’s SK. I think our OTP will meet, separate, meet again etc until the end. They are likely to meet in “China” for example- a country they both can be without too much difficulties. SeRi could be there for business and Jeong Hyeok could be there for military exchanges or joint military activities etc or he could go there in search of her.

 

Talking about him “finding” her, when he said over the phone, “just describe to me what you see around you, and I will certainly find you, no matter how far away you are” - that was JUST SO BEAUTIFUL! 

 

This theme of him finding her has been a consistent thread.

 

1. He first found her (hanging in the tree) in the forest near the 38th parallel.

2. Next he found her when she was lost in the military village and he took her to the safe haven of his house in the nick of time before JCK found her.

3. He found her when she left his house coz she wanted to paraglide back to SK on her own. Again he found her in the nick of time before JCK and his men caught her.

4. Then when she was lost in the darkness and the crowd at the jang madang he found her with the help of the scented candle.

5. He found her walking with Seung Joon when Seung Jun tried to lure her away. 
6. He found her when she was being pursued by JCK’s men on her way to the airport to fly to Europe as a reserve athlete and he took the gun shot in her stead.

7. He tried to find her (though unsuccessfully) and almost drove the ambulance over a cliff.

8. He found her at Seung Joon’s secluded place that is untraceable on the map by tracking the power lines and trekking through the forest in the snowstorm.

 

By the way, his fans have been sharing that they have been filming till 4/5 am almost every day. They have been working so hard in the biting cold to give us this beautiful drama! Praying that they will stay healthy and that the team will complete the drama uneventfully.

 

The latest sightings - one apparently in a Chinese cafe - this is what got me thinking they will meet in “China”.

Thanks for alllllll the fan taken filming pics.. love is in the air when the Hero’s hair has flipped up (kdrama trope alert hahaha). I miss Mr Bowl hair though. So endearing. But tomorrow is finally Friday AND THEN SATURDAY! 
 

I’m presuming the fan pics taken are of episode 12 and above.. so what will happen this weekend is still up in the air. Hoping the separation doesn’t take all of this week.. cos with viewers it’ll be a 2 week separation till end Jan/ Feb!

good observation. Yes hair is flip up now! Already know this will happen. Kdrama show the guys hair either is fr down to up or up to down. But either way still look good

Wow, his hair is up!! Different vibes of Captain Ri suddenly 

Just rewatched some of their scenes in episode 7 and 8. Still mellow after watching it! 

I just noticed that there is a new song in the scene „Don‘t cry then“ in front of GSJ house. 

 

I‘m curious with the timeline on when RJH went to Switzerland. There was scenes of younger RJH saying goodbye to his brother. I assumed that it was when he started his education (could be in Switzerland). Then, the scenes when he found SeRi in the bridge and later on SeoDan came in. Seems that they looked like tourists in Switzerland. Just arrived. But then, there was scene he was with his friends in Switzerland in the stairs, and then he had a concert but afterwards he packed his things and played the song. In the same time, SeRi passed by with her ship. So, I‘m lost with how long do they stay in Switzerland? I assume, SeRi only stayed couple of weeks or months. But what about RJH?

Just a note about the teasers and photos from the Swoon/Netflix teasers someone shared yesterday. There is a scene of SR wearing a beautiful body-hugging low-cut floral dress. JH is seems to be in the same place as her and the place is full of CANDLES! I wonder if it is a special event or even a wedding...hope that scene is from the ending in Switzerland! JH's hair is swept up so it should be a scene from a future episode.

 

From another still someone shared it seems like they did meet at the dock since JH is wearing the white shirt he wore when we played the piano. I'm curious to know the backstory of this...did it happen on the first snow and when JH was packing his things and ready to head back to NK? Is that piano at his parents' home?

 

My theory on why they might need to film in the middle of the night since they can secure filming spots and be have more privacy. I just watched a short Insta video of HB walking into a car and there were loads of ladies swooning over him...poor guy, I wonder if he ever has any privacy in SK!

I have rewatched EP9 preview so many times and I have been trying to guess the timeline of the scenes from the new wound on his right cheek.  (I know... Hahaha I am so addicted to this show that I am even trying to decipher that LOL)

 

I think that the preview’s first scene will be by the ending of EP9 when he is just about to reach SR. His new wound looks better but when he meets with his dad it looks more like a recent wound.  And maybe I am imagining too much hahaha but he is running like with a kind of expression mix of hope and impatience vibes.

I have a theory....

They are in Switzerland, 7 years ago,  and this guy is like : YSR, seat at this table, RJH is a pianist and he speaks Korean...

 

And that's how they meet, because she mentioned in EP2 that she that face before :) 

And he keep seeing her everyhere in Switzerland, because for him, was love at the fist sight!
