Also, loved how SW assistant kicked TY butt and telling him how he destroyed SW 's life.

That pretty silly think for the assistant to say considering what TY being through and what the she know, how dumb.

On the argument above on this - actually she did not exactly say that he destroyed SW's life.  "Because of you, her life got ruined" is what she said.  Like @dramaninja said, it would be too much for her to say that he did anything in it.  But it is correct for her to say that SW's life got ruined "because of him" - though it wasn't his fault, but SW's own fault.  The assistant's point was that YW should see it the right way.   The "because of you" (너 때문에) is more like "on account of you" here, and it seems TY took it that way, and didn't argue with her... So @angelwingssf is justified too, in loving how she kicked butt :) ....

Thanks for clearing that out.

I am glad the assistant interjected herself and spoke openly about it to YW since SW would not say anything at all.  This misunderstanding would continue for ever.  Aren't we all tired of SW closed mouth.  I am !!  Sorry if anyone thinks that she is doing fine.  She knew YW well enough and she knew he would be angry.  Now that he came back, she should have told him by herself.  But oh well!

I wish someone kicks SW behind too. does the assistant know that YW is Yangji group heir?  She needs encourage SW to talk to her mother in law.  It will be a shock, but a good one since her child is still alive.  I like that Ms. Yang is turning against CTJ.  How does she know IMR ?  Did Ms. Yang also work at Yangi too?

Yes SW friend know everything about the switching if YW and KI. Better to locate first where they hide jimin before they move on to their next plan, for now jimin safety is their priority

We will expect the battle between the oldies now..Junghee us now suspicious of CTJ and ms.yang telling junghee about how she feels about CTJ make her more curious...im glad that miss yang is always on junghee side..

I think Ms.yang know Miran before because she been working to yangji family for a long time and she also know CTJ..

So we have really got to thank the Goof Troop for their meddling. Thanks to Jieun Mr. Sun is 80% closer to the truth. He knows almost everything. He is the real Heir and that he has been switched with Kwang Ill and that Jimin is his son. He just doesn’t know why Shi Wol married Kwang Ill in regards to the later. In other words, finally we get some progress and I would have been really disappointed if Mr. Sun couldn’t have figured out the truth from all that he had learned so far.

Spoiler

Now before I add anything else I wanted to bring up a comment someone brought up @O I think it was that mentioned that the writer seemed to have a bit of amnesia in regards to their story. They brought the following scene as reference. Kwang Ill telling his father not to mess with Shi Wol because she knew the truth yet only a few episodes back Tae Joon was talking about her protecting Kwang Ills secret and that he had revealed said fact to her ages ago (about episode 20 or something like that) yet he seemed to have forgotten about it now. I think this is a case of language misinterpretation on one of our parts.

What I gathered from this is that we have to remember something Tae Joon only revealed part of the truth to Shi Wol back then. This was that he had switched babies back then he didn’t reveal with whom. Since he himself wasn’t aware that Mr. Sun was still alive (he presumed that he was dead in that accident back then). In that sense Shi Wol should have been just aware of said fact. Then he discovers that his grandson is actually Mr. Sun’s Bio Child but even then he could have assumed that all this happened by chance that she was in a relationship with him and then got married to his son since there was no possible way that she could have discovered the truth. Kwang Ill was informing him here that this wasn’t the case since Shi Wol was fully aware of the entire truth something that they weren’t expecting. This meant that messing with her would only cause them problems. Since in the previous case at the most they would have been kicked out but if they had people loyal to them they might have been able to take back the company somehow. But in this case Mr. Sun would not only take his rightful place back in the house but also the company if Shi Wol decided to spill the beans.

Will we finally get the backstory of the maid? I say about time since now we have the Goof Troop on the trail on the rest of the crew. I say that it is about time. Interestingly the maid has given two interesting comments in the last episode.

The first one is that she seemed to find Miran familiar but she just couldn’t place her where she saw her. (since I haven’t watched the earlier twenty episodes or so) did they ever cross paths in said episodes? If not, then I believe I can cover it in my next point.

The second one that she made was that Tae Joon was a monster. (technically she made this one first but let’s not get into technicalities) Granted she kept both these comments to herself.

The question now is why would she make such comments. The only reason for the later could be is that she overheard about him trying to kidnap and perhaps even hurt Mr. Sun and so she realized that he wasn’t a great person and all but could that be all. Previously I suggested a theory that she herself was present at the hospital for some reason when Kwang Ill and Mr Sun were born and she witnessed him switching the babies with Miran. This way we can cover both points. That this is where she first saw Miran (been sometime so she couldn’t fully recognize current Miran) and also why she considers him a monster since he tried to cut off a families bloodline and replace it with his own and now he is suddenly trying to kill of random people etc.. This means that if it turns out that her nephew is actually her son then she may feel justified in revealing him now since she thinks that the real heir is missing thus her blood will be more effective (assuming that she to is the grandfather’s daughter). Regardless of this we can assume that the only person that she is loyal to is herself and not even Jung Hee otherwise she would have revealed all this to her or atleastt the fact that her husband was seeing strange or other women. Her not doing so means that she has her own agenda which is about to be revealed soon.

People have also commented on the Fortune Tellers abilities and that perhaps he should just pack his bags and leave for the mountains since he couldn’t predict the swap or know of all the evil deeds that Tae Joon was upto etc.. I just want to remind people that Fortune Telling isn’t an exact science no matter how good one is. Let’s even assume for a moment that some people are blessed from the Divine and can glimpse into the future. We have to then assume that this gift is always on 24/7 that is. If that was the case these fortune tellers would never have a moments rest. Another example would be is that they picture the future and they mention it to the other party. Said party does something to prevent it then that would mean that they have branched into another future where something else might happen will the poor guy have to inform them of the same thing as well to prevent some other disaster. At best he can get a glimpse of the future but he might not know the exact details so he can give a vague warning of things to come how they go from there depends on them. For instance, when he got a feeling that something bad was going to happen to Mr. Sun he told him to be careful. Over here he just had a feeling but didn’t know how it would play out, Mr. Sun on the other hand heeded said advice and took proper precautions to save his life. It is for this reason he probably couldn’t tell about the baby swap or any of Tae Joon’s evil deeds. Though he knew that Tae Joon was an ambitious guy (perhaps he did have some idea in regards to that). His choice of friendship though can be questioned. But my bigger question is that for someone who has given up the worldly life we have this guy who still has the latest Mobile Phone. Where did he get the money for that? Even if he does need a mobile phone for his daily needs (let’s give him that atleast) one would assume that he would have an older model of a phone. Perhaps not a dinosaur of one like a flip phone but something in the middle considering the time jumps and all. But that is just my opinion.

So Duck is now spying on her husband and threatening Shi Wol like it is her business. I will be more than happy when her husband decides to dump her and get back with Shi Wol or even if he decides to remain alone. She will deserve that and if she ever questions him he can simply blame it all on her mother. let her go and take her mother out first before she goes to try and kill someone else. Also interestingly did anyone notice the threat that she made to Shi Wol. She warned her that the next time she catches Shi Wol with her husband that they are all going to die. She then mentions that he will die. Now we all assume that she means Mr Sun but what if this isn’t the case. Since she never specifies we can also assume that she could mean Jimin. Shi Wol never takes that into consideration because she thinks that there is no way that Duck knows about the truth that Jimin is MR. Sun and her child. I guess it is a good thing that Jimin is hidden away from everyone but at the same time it is equally bad.

I doubt that the Druken Duo will discover the fact why Shi Wol did what she did. Either of two things are going to happen. Either she is going to pass out before she reveals anything or She does reveal everything to him only to find out that he passed out during the conversation so he didn’t hear any of the confession or just part of it. This may be the reason why she is giving Mr. Sun a piece of her mind. In a way both people are correct here. Mr. Sun has every right to be angry and Shi Wol since she never bothered to reveal the truth to him regardless of what her reasons were. As for her friend she to is correct since Shi Wol did everything for Mr. Sun and his revenge even if she lived a miserable life for it so he of all people shouldn’t fully judge her but try and understand her. Let’s see how all this turns out.

I am glad that Shi Wol finally admitted the truth to him though in this case she was forced to do so. Clearly Mr. Sun wasn’t thinking straight because if he ever confronted Kwang Ill Jimin would be hidden so fast that he would be harder to locate.

So since Duck has gotten a hair style change does this mean that Shi Wol should also get one showing that she is about to get serious as well. Or does the style change just apply to the siblings. Speaking of Kwang Ill he is still a deer trying pretending to be a lion. The fear in his eyes when he was confronted by the real lion was amusing to watch.

Overall I don’t have more to add for now. Will wait a few hours till the latest episode comes out before I add something else. Pretty much I feel that it has been an interesting week but we are just at the halfway point. Things should start to pick up now.

So take care till then. Will be back later on.

Subs are out! It was an excellent episode! I am so glad that they did not  drag this out. The misunderstanding between the leads only lasted from the beginning till the end of the episode. I have never been a fan of a daily drama, but this one finally has me hooked. I am waking up super early to live stream from S. Korea. I am loving this drama!

Let me start of by making a jab at the prop department of this show. Thanks to them it seems like Mr. Sun is an avid book collector. In his study alone he seems to have atleast three copies of Pride and Prejudice and another two copies of another book. He must really like collecting all the various editions of all his favorite books.

Now on to the drama itself.

Spoiler

First of all I am glad that Mr. Sun finally knows the entire truth and not the half-truths that Shi Wol has been feeding him till now and more importantly than that he still knows that she still loves him. He just needs to tell her that he feels the same way as well. Regardless of all this let’s not get all our hopes up and expect the main leads to end up together so soon. As many have pointed out that we are just at the halfway point of this show so that isn’t going to happen. They still have a lot of obstacles to overcome before they get back together.

Namely their current clingy and selfish significant others who won’t be willing to let them go. This also just goes to show how different the main leads are from their partners. While they may be selfish and all the main leads are their opposites. They say that opposites attract but in this case that probably isn’t true (or is it). Let’s take Shi Wol as an example she is completely unselfish compared to Duck. For Shi Wol her own happiness comes second compared to those she cares for. For instance, when she was planning on revealing everything to Mr. Sun in regards to Jimin and all she didn’t the moment he told her that he was about to become a father and was getting married. At that point his happiness became more important than her own. Had she been selfish like Duck she would have revealed this fact to him and let him feel conflicted in his duties as a parent. Shi Wol does have her issues and I might get to them later on.

Another thing that both these characters’ share is that they don’t willingly want to hurt others. In this case they wouldn’t to hurt Duck unless she gives them significant cause to do so. In this way I doubt that Shi Wol will try and convince him to divorce Duck so that they can be together. That just isn’t in Shi Wols personality if she does she is going to feel guilty for the rest of her life thinking that she stole someone else’s man and said person’s happiness. We already saw that she initially felt guilty for deceiving Kwang Ill till recently. So it will probably be the same here as well. I doubt that Shi Wol is even intimidated by Duck’s threats. Infact the only one that one should take seriously is the one where she threatens to kill everyone. Her threat of exposing Shi Wol’s affair is only going to backfire on her big time.

Sure everyone is going to get shocked at such a reveal (atleast those that aren’t aware of said fact). But Duck might not get the response that she wants. At this point Shi Wol can reveal everything to the family in regards to Mr. Sun. This means the family will now have the option of taking back Mr. Sun into the family but also choosing who they want as their Daughter In Law. Meaning they can either get a new DiL (accepting Duck as a part of their family) or keep the current one. In other words, telling Duck to get a divorce as they like and prefer Shi Wol. Not only that but Shi Wol also has the blessing of that Fortune Teller something that Duck doesn’t have. In this case it would probably be a no brainer on who they would pick. Meaning that Duck would be out of luck. I guess this means that she will have to resort to her other threat.

Mr. Sun is also similar he may have married her due to their daughter but now he is going to stay with her out of obligation. He has already told her that he isn’t going to leave her even after their daughter died. Granted that this was before he discovered about Jimin but I doubt that he is suddenly going to change. In fact, he has a good way out he can blame her mother for wanting to divorce her but he probably won’t. whatever her issues were she probably was a good wife and did her wifely duties well so he can’t just abandon her for the crimes that her mother committed. She was innocent in said crimes as well as unaware of them so to punish her for said crimes is probably wrong so he therefore might not go for a divorce as of now. Things will drastically change if she threatens or tries to harm Jimin. Both parents will show their protective sides and try and protect him from all those that try and harm him. They may then demand a divorce but not until then.

Another reason why we shouldn’t expect a divorce from the main leads is because of Jimin. They probably don’t want to confuse him as it is. The only father that he knows is Kwang Ill to suddenly reveal to him that Mr. Sun is his father might be a bit shocking to him and we have no idea how it will affect him. They probably need to wait a few years to reveal it to him so that he can understand everything even then taking away the father that he has known all this time is just bad and wrong. Something that we can see Shi Wol attempting with Kwang Ill in the next episode when she is asking him about his birth mother. Kwang Ill gave the proper response that the only mother that he knows is the one that raised him all along. (Granted he assumes that his Bio Mother not only abandoned him but is also dead).

The Goof Troop are still idiots it seems can’t say much for Jieun’s dad. Seems like he is also going to be taken for a ride by the Grandfather. What all these people need to do is get a written contract by the grandfather that he is going to give them what he has promised this way the grandfather can’t get out his part of the bargain. While we know that verbal agreements can be constituted as a contract it is always best to have a written one as a backup so that the other party can’t back out at the last moment claiming that there is no evidence that such a contract/promise ever existed. Jieun is already in bad books with her family and this is only going to make things worse for her when said family takes a loss because of her. Then again why should I really care what happens to the Goof Troop. They will get what they deserve. The only one that I feel bad is Jieun’s kid that has been traumatized because of that maid. I am also starting to wonder what is with that bear that he carries. Is it like what others suspect that it has a recording device in it so that the maid can overhear their conversations and plot against them.

Speaking of the maid it seems like she is finally starting to make her move to break up the family. LoL she thinks that Tae Joon is still having an affair with Miran and that is why she is their neighbor. This was something that was Mr. Sun’s doing even though it wasn’t intentional on his part. Regardless if this means that Jung Hee starts to question her husband’s actions and suspect him of having an affair even if it isn’t true. I won’t mind. This just means that she will kick him to the curb all that quicker. Finally, Tae Joon is demanding the maid to use her shares for Kwang Ills sake. Was wondering why he didn’t do that earlier and the maid is rebelling since she probably needs them for her nephew to take the throne.

But I do have to wonder Tae Joon claimed that she siphoned of company money to purchase those shares in the first place so she shouldn’t complain about any loss that she would incur. But is that really the case? Just how did she manage to do that. How did she get access to the company money? To me it is far more believable that the grandfather funded her unwillingly. Remember he has bought her numerous things as gifts which include paintings and a building which was supposed to be on a prime spot. She could have used said items to sell and then purchase said shares. In other words, those shares were rightfully purchased by her. The only crime that she has committed is hiding those shares under assumed names and all. Regardless Tae Joon has bitten of more than he can chew. I just hope that the merger is not only stopped but Shi Wol can earn her freedom from that house. Then again she probably needs to remain to do damage control and get the kids reunited with their birth parents etc

If Duck actually loved Mr. Sun she would also either let him go and be with the person that actually makes him happy or if not this let him do his parental duties towards Jimin. Her preventing him from doing any of this is only going to make him despise her more.

Anyway that will be all from me for now. Take care till next time and keep posting.

I guess it is better that one is a deer (Choi Kwang Il) and the other one a duck  (Chae Duk Sil) than a predator like CTJ and IMR who are nothing but evil monsters

@calledtoteach

I hope that Ms. Yang's nephew (may be her son or not and I hope not  and not with the grandfather/old chairman). No more complications please.

Maybe her son with Choi Tae Joon ?!?! I don't think so. There is no indication of this.

Ms. Yang did want to leave the Jang household. I think she is sick and wants to live with her nephew/son? for the time she has left as she has devoted all her life to Yangji Corporation family.   or she wants to leave since she has been able to buy enough Yangji Corporation shares.  What I cannot understand is why hide it and buy it in a different name? Considering that she must have bought it from legitimate funding like her salary and bonuses. I don't think the Grandfather was stingy towards her. He even gave her a building.

Besides she seems to have a crush on Mr. Jung (shaman/fortune teller) so I believe she is an old maid through and through with no kids and the nephew is really just her nephew.
