Teaser trailer #2 and teaser posters for OCN drama series “Watcher”

Teaser trailer #2 and 3 teaser posters added for upcoming OCN drama series “Watcher” starring Han Suk-Kyu, Seo Kang-Joon and Kim Hyun-Joo. The 3 teaser posters features Han Suk-Kyu as Do Chi-Gwang, Seo Kang-Joon as Kim Young-Koon and Kim Hyun-Joo as Han Tae-Joo. They are all members of a police internal affairs investigation team. Teaser trailer #2 features Han Suk-Kyu as Detective Do Chi-Gwang. Around the 19 second mark, his voice appears and he asks in Korean “Who watches observers?” At around the 25 second mark, Han Suk-Kyu teases “Internal inspection thriller. Watcher.”

Han Seok-kyu watches the watchers in OCN crime thriller

I haven’t picked up an OCN show in a while, so this show will be the perfect opportunity to dive back into the world of crime and thrillers. OCN’s Watcher recently released a new teaser clip for the show, featuring Han Seok-kyu (Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim) as the lone wolf leader of the internal investigations team that is central to the channel’s newest crime thriller.

The teaser starts with a quite literally narrow focus, showing Han Seok-kyu alone at a table with his computer and files laid out in front of him. He’s listening intently to a recording device, replaying a small snippet of someone who I presume is suspected of corruption. The focus widens on Han Seok-kyu’s face, and then blacks out as he asks the question posed on the screen: “Who watches the watchers?” Han Seok-kyu walks over to a one-way glass, and interestingly, it looks like he’s the one “being watched” inside an interrogation room. We see a shadow of a man’s face on the other side, who walks outside the frame as the teaser ends.

Posters of the show have also been released, each featuring a super close-up of each of the main characters’ faces, including Seo Kang-joon (The Third Charm) and Kim Hyun-joo (Miracle That We Met). I don’t think there’s a real weak link in this trio, so I’m excited to see the three of them become a reluctant team and learn more about the mysterious tragedy that links all three characters together.

Seo Kang Joon Transforms Into A Charismatic Policeman For Upcoming OCN Drama “Watcher”

OCN’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama “Watcher” has released new stills of Seo Kang Joon in character!

“Watcher” tells the story of an anti-corruption team that tries to uncover corruption within the police force. Han Suk Kyu plays a police officer who witnesses corruption in the force, Seo Kang Joon plays another policeman who witnesses a murder, and Kim Hyun Joo plays a lawyer who witnesses a lie.

“Watcher” is directed by Ahn Gil Ho (“Secret Forest” and “Memories of the Alhambra“) and written by Han Sang Woon (“Good Wife”).

This is Seo Kang Joon’s first time playing the lead role in a crime thriller, and fans can expect to see a new side of him as he takes on the role of a righteous young police officer.

 

Although the new stills show Seo Kang Joon in his police uniform, his 30-second character teaser shows a glimpse of what his character will be like. Although Seo Kang Joon looks carefree at first, listening to music while sitting on the bus, his gaze turns sharp as the caption reads, “Who watches the watchers?”

Shady dealings for Kim Hyun-joo in OCN’s Watcher

At this point, I’m just not-so-patiently counting down the days until July 6, when OCN’s Watcher will finally premiere. Until then, those of us waiting for the show will have to tide ourselves over with promo material like the recently released teaser and stills, this time of Kim Hyun-joo (Miracle That We Met).

The latest teaser doesn’t really reveal much about the plot of the show, and doesn’t really feature any dialogue at all, which is a shame, since I’m eager to learn more about the former prosecutor-turned-star defense attorney. Kim Hyun-joo’s character is known as the “master of deals” – as in plea deals, I’m assuming – and she’s definitely had an interesting career trajectory, going from prosecutor to defense attorney to essentially a cop’s cop. I look forward to knowing what exactly prompts her to make these career jumps.

The teaser starts with Kim Hyun-joo’s character looking over some case files alone in the back of her car. The clip begins as it did with Han Seok-kyu’s (Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim) , with an extremely narrow shot, which widens as she turns to face the mysterious man who approaches her car window. The words that appeared in previous teasers make their appearance here as well: “Who watches the watchers?” The teaser comes to an end as she hands the file over to the mystery man.

OCN’s upcoming drama “Watcher” has released thrilling new character teasers for its main cast.

The new weekend drama stars Han Suk Kyu, Seo Kang Joon, and Kim Hyun Joo, telling the story of a group of an anti-corruption team trying to uncover corruption within the police force. Han Suk Kyu will lead the team as police officer Do Chi Kwang, while Seo Kang Joon will play policeman Kim Young Goon, and Kim Hyun Joo will take on the role of lawyer Han Tae Joo.

The character teasers center around the thought-provoking tagline, “Who watches the watchers?” Han Suk Kyu is listening to an audio recording of something while Seo Kang Joon sits on a bus and Kim Hyun Joo reads over documents in a car. Ominous music plays as it appears they are observing other people, with Han Suk Kyu looking through a glass pane at another police officer, Seo Kang Joon sitting on the bus and looking at the reflection of a man on the bus window, and Kim Hyun Joo being approached by a mysterious figure whom she hands her documents to.

Ahn Gil Ho, a director famous for his detailed directing in dramas such as “The Secret Forest” and “Memories of the Alhambra,” will work in harmony with Han Sang Woon, a writer acclaimed for his detailed writing of the unique characters in “Good Wife,” to create a unique thriller about internal inspection. OCN is a channel that has expanded the scope of genres covered in Korean dramas through novel works of high quality. The fact that OCN is releasing a new psychological thriller is a hot issue among drama fans.

Storms and danger lie ahead in OCN’s Watcher

A new teaser and poster have been released for OCN’s upcoming crime-thriller Watcher, featuring the lead actors Han Seok-kyu (Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim), Kim Hyun-joo (Miracle That We Met), and Seo Kang-joon (The Third Charm).

The three leads play characters from different specialties in the field of law and justice. Seo Kang-joon plays a police officer, Kim Hyun-joo is former prosecutor-turned-defense attorney; and Han Seok-kyu is a senior detective. The three become connected by a tragic incident, and the clues to the cause of the tragedy point toward corruption within the law force. The trio then team up to form an internal investigations unit – with Han Seok-kyu as their leader – and take on the challenging task of rooting out the perpetrators hidden among their ranks.

The newly released poster shows the three actors gathered together around a table, deep in discussion over the papers and files piled on the table. The color palette is cold and dark, but the room is lighted by the rays of sunlight shining through the tall windowpanes along the wall. The caption on the poster reads, “Who watches the watchers?”

The teaser shows us glimpses of the three main characters and the conflict that they’re up against. It starts with a man in a phone booth while rain falls and lightning flashes outside of the phone booth. There is a quick intercut of Han peering around the corner and we cut away to Seo Kang-joon walking with a flashlight through a dark warehouse. In voice-over, we hear Han Seok-kyu warning, “If you hesitate, then another person could die.” As he narrates, the scene changes to Han Seok-kyu talking to Seo Kang-joon as they sit at a table in a locker room, before it transitions to the two of them standing outside. The next sequence shows Seo twisting a man’s arm behind his back and slamming him against a wall. It quickly cuts back to the man in the phone booth, who hangs up the receiver and exits the booth. The next scenes show us a distressed and bloodied woman who is tied up with her mouth taped shut; then a rear shot of someone walking down a hallway with a gun in hand. We return to Han Seok-kyu seated at the table with Seo Kang-joon as Han explains, “I catch the bad cops” and it cuts away to Kim Hyun-joo meeting someone in a field. Then Seo’s back, patrolling the dark warehouse, before it cuts to a pair of bloody hands reaching for a cellphone on the ground. The teaser comes to an end as it flashes back to the man in the phone booth, showing a close-up of his face as he talks to someone on the payphone while the storm rages outside.

Watch: “Watcher” Reveals Relationship Chart + Foretells Shadows Of Doubt In Suspenseful Teaser

OCN released a character chart and new teaser for the upcoming drama “Watcher”!

“Watcher” will follow the story of Do Chi Kwang (Han Suk Kyu), a police officer who witnesses corruption, Kim Young Goon (Seo Kang Joon), a police officer who witnesses a murder, and Han Tae Joo (Kim Hyun Joo), a lawyer who witnesses a lie. They will team up to form the anti-corruption team that tries to uncover corruption within the police force and find out the hidden evils of the system.

The character chart shows the heads of Seyang Provincial Police Agency are commissioner Yeom Dong Sook (Kim Soo Jin) and deputy commissioner Park Jin Woo (Joo Jin Moo). Inspection Class 4 is made up of police officer Jo Soo Yeon (Park Joo Hee) and Do Chi Kwang, the head of the team. Do Chi Kwang’s former co-worker is Jang Hae Ryong (Heo Sung Tae), who also happens to be a suspicious target of the police.

Then there are lawyer Han Tae Joo and police officer Kim Young Goon, who are the lead characters along with Do Chi Kwang. There is a dark, mysterious shape connecting the three with text that reads, “Case from 15 years ago?” intriguing viewers with the unsolved puzzle that is yet to be solved.

 

The new teaser starts off with the big question of, “Who watches the watcher?” There seems to be doubt and tension between the three main characters. Seo Kang Joon asks, “How can I trust you?” and Han Suk Kyu replies, “If you hesitate, then someone else might die.” Then Han Suk Kyu questions Kim Hyun Joo, “Why did you make it turn out like this?” and she coldly retorts, “Because they deserve to die.”
