Kim Dong Jun has shared his thoughts on his upcoming political drama with Lee Jung Jae and Shin Min Ah!

The ZE:A member will be starring in “Advisor” (working title), a new JTBC drama about the high-stakes maneuvering by the power players in politics that goes on behind the scenes. Kim Dong Jun will be playing the role of the enthusiastic and hardworking intern Han Do Kyung, who dreams of becoming president one day. Despite having a bit of a bumbling side, Han Do Kyung knows how to speak up when necessary, and he is both patient and fiercely determined.

While talking about his drama, Kim Dong Jun raved about his experience working together with his famous co-stars Lee Jung Jae and Shin Min Ah. “Just the fact that I’m working together with them is such an honor,” he remarked. “When I first heard the casting news, I felt like I was dreaming.”

He continued, “While acting together with the senior actors, I’m learning more about how to properly convey emotions while acting and hearing more helpful advice about becoming a better actor than I ever have before.”

Kim Dong Jun also described his character with affection, commenting, “The more I learn about the character Han Do Kyung, the more I think of him as the kind of person we can find close by—a person who’s always doing his utmost, working hard, and living his life as an upstanding citizen.”

Upcoming JTBC drama “Advisor” (working title) is ramping up excitement for its June 14 premiere!

The drama, which stars Lee Jung Jae and Shin Min Ah, is about the real political players that influence the world through the shadows. A talented advisor named Jang Tae Joon (Lee Jung Jae) is on his way to holding real power in his hands, and Kang Sun Young (Shin Min Ah) is a newly appointed Assemblywoman and spokeswoman of her party.

In the new poster for Shin Min Ah revealed on June 1, the actress embodies the strength and charisma of her character. She’s not the least bit apologetic for her talent and ambition and puts all her effort into reaching the position that she desires. The poster reads, “Six grams of ambition, six grams the cost.”

A source from the drama production said, “Just like Kang Sun Young, Shin Min Ah puts all of her passion into her character on set. The transformation is in all aspects, from her style to her aura, tone, expressions, and mannerisms.”

Jung Woo Sung Shows Support For Lee Jung Jae’s New Drama With Coffee Truck

Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae displayed the tight bond they’ve built over their 20-year friendship!

On May 31, Jung Woo Sung posted a photo on his Instagram of Lee Jung Jae posing next to the coffee truck he sent to the set of Lee Jung Jae’s new drama, JTBC’s “Advisor” (tentative title). The truck included messages such as, “Please drink Advisor Coffee and cheer up” and “Please take care of our advisor.”

 

“Advisor” marks Lee Jung Jae’s return to the small screen for the first time in 10 years, his last drama being MBC’s “Triple.” In the upcoming drama, which also stars actress Shin Min Ah, Lee Jung Jae plays Jang Tae Joon, the chief aide of an Assemblyman.

Watch: Lee Jung Jae, Kim Kap Soo, And Shin Min Ah Share Realistic Look At Politics In Teaser For Drama

JTBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Advisor” (tentative title) has released a new teaser showing realistic insight into the life of politicians.

“Advisor” will tell the story of real political players who move the world behind the spotlight as they engage in dangerous gambles and fight for power. Lee Jung Jae will play Jang Tae Joon, a talented advisor to assemblyman Song Hee Seob, played by Kim Kap Soo. Shin Min Ah will take on the role of Kang Sun Young, a newly-elected member of the Assembly.

The teaser begins with Jang Tae Joon casually walking through a park with a cup of coffee. However, the narration has a more desperate tone to it as Song Hee Seob says, “We have to go to the Blue House together,” while Jang Tae Joon replied, “Do you know how hard it was to get here? From a regular staff member to a secretary to an advisors? I’ve held on for 10 years, picking up after old men.”

The road is rough for Jang Tae Joon, as he finds himself surrounded by protestors, having his hair pulled and his clothes ripped as he tries to protect Song Hee Sob. He looks out of it as he drinks some water in the aftermath but he smiles and says, “In order to catch a whale, you have to go through some broken fishing poles and hand injuries.”

Song Hee Seob is a seasoned politician, even when he suffers injuries at the hands of protestors, he smiles and says, “It’s normal for politicians to grow with a few hits.” Meanwhile, Kang Sun Young has her arms crossed as she jokes to Jang Tae Joon, “You’re quite sexy?” and he scoffs at her, eliciting curiosity for what the relationship is between the two.

The staff stated, “We’ve released a video that shows the realistic side of the life of advisors. We are doing our best to create a great and fun drama, so we hope people will tune in when the drama makes its premiere.”

Shin Min Ah is already captivating viewers as the Assemblywoman Kang Sun Young in the upcoming JTBC drama “Advisor” (working title).

“Advisor” is about real power and influence in the world, wielded by political players in the shadows. The story follows the “super advisor” Jang Tae Joon (played by Lee Jung Jae) and the newly appointed Assemblywoman Kang Sun Young (played by Shin Min Ah).

In new stills revealed on June 4, Shin Min Ah’s character Kang Sun Young is perfection personified. Always on top in everything from academics to skill, she is confident in her ability, trusts her own judgement, and goes after what she wants with no hesitation.

A source from the drama said, “Shin Min Ah’s character Kang Sun Young is a figure that is always supported by the public. She never retreats from fear and isn’t swayed by the opinions of others.” The source added that Kang Sun Young is a member of the Assembly by proportional representation, which puts her in a difficult position when it comes to reelection. Lee Jung-jae gets egg-spattered for Chief of Staff

A more lighthearted teaser for JTBC drama Chief of Staff has been released, depicting the daily struggles of those in the political world. This drama features Lee Jung-jae (Svaha: The Sixth Finger) as the titular chief of staff who aides for a four-time congressman with aspirations to reach the Blue House (Korean equivalent of White House), played by Kim Gab-soo (Haechi).

This drama will show the real struggle of political players and the dangerous, high-stakes games they play in order to reach the pinnacle of power. It’s a harsh fight for survival everyday for Lee Jung-jae. In his background narration, he explains his struggle, “From junior secretary to chief secretary and then to chief of staff, I’ve spent ten years cleaning up after these old men…”

But clearly the struggle hasn’t stopped because in the next frame, we see his hair being pulled and and head being hit from all angles in the midst of a violent protest. All the while, he tries to protect his congressman from a mob of reporters. At the end, he looks completely defeated, sitting with his suit torn, buttons missing, and bits of his hair ripped out.

Shin Min Ah Avoids Eye Contact When Confronted By Lee Jung Jae In “Advisor”

New stills of Shin Min Ah and Lee Jung Jae have been released for JTBC’s newest Friday-Saturday drama, “Advisor” (working title).

Lee Jung Jae plays Jang Tae Joon, a “super advisor” within the dangerous world of politics, and Shin Min Ah portrays newly-selected assemblywoman Kang Sun Young.

In the photos, they face each other with very different expressions on their faces. While Tae Joon looks at Sun Young sharply, she completely avoids his gaze and looks intently at whatever is behind him. Viewers can look forward to their tense relationship and the events that will occur both to and between the pair.

Sun Young received her nomination for assemblywoman from a senator within her party, Jo Gab Young (played by Kim Hong Fa). She has a strange relationship with Tae Joon, as he is the advisor to her rival Song Hee Seob (played by Kim Kap Soo). While their exact relationship is hard to define, viewers can look forward to how these two ambitious politicians work in order to achieve their goals and how they compare to one another.

Lee Jung Jae and Shin Min Ah, who are working on their first project together, shared, “Since we have such great chemistry, we are currently filming with incredible energy.”

Esom surprised her former co-star Lee Jung Jae with a sweet gift!

On June 8, Lee Jung Jae’s agency Artist Company revealed on its official Instagram account that Esom had sent a coffee truck to the set of his new JTBC drama “Advisor” (working title). The two actors previously starred together in the 2017 film “Warriors of the Dawn.”

Artist Company posted a photo of Lee Jung Jae happily posing for a selfie in front of the coffee truck, writing in the caption, “Actress Esom’s coffee truck gift on the set of the drama ‘Advisor.’ The touched Jung Jae Lee’s words (click through to the next image): ‘I’ll enjoy drinking this and cooling down.'”

The agency also shared a self-filmed video of Lee Jung Jae expressing his gratitude for the gift, saying, “Som! Thank you for sending me a coffee truck. I’ll enjoy drinking this and cooling down. Thank you!”

JTBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Advisor” (working title) — starring Lee Jung Jae and Shin Min Ah — has revealed a new character chart, giving viewers insight into the various connections that will come into play in the drama.

“Advisor” is a drama about the political players that influence the world from the shadows. Lee Jung Jae is the ambitious “super advisor” Jang Tae Joon, and Shin Min Ah is the newly-appointed Assemblywoman Kang Sun Young.

Taking up the most real estate on the chart is Assemblyman Song Hee Seob (played by Kim Kap Soo) and his team, which includes regional advisor Oh Won Sik (Jung Woong In), secretary Yoon Hye Won (Lee Elijah), intern Han Do Kyung (ZE:A’s Kim Dong Jun), and head advisor Jang Tae Joon (Lee Jung Jae).

Just within this team, various dynamics and relationships will play out: one of trust between Yoon Hye Won and Jang Tae Joon, Han Do Kyung’s admiration of Jang Tae Joon, and the competition between Jang Tae Joon and Oh Won Sik.

 

In the center of the chart, we see various connections between Kang Sun Young (Shin Min Ah) and Jang Tae Joon through mutual acquaintances and colleagues.

Kang Sun Young’s head advisor is Go Seok Man (played by Im Won Hee), who is Jang Tae Joon’s friend, although the two friends are quite different in personality. Premiere Watch: Chief of Staff

How good is a show that it can lure an actor back to dramaland after a decade-long absence? That’s what I wanted to know when I first heard that Lee Jung-jae would be headlining Chief of Staff. Happily, we don’t have to wait any longer to see what drew, not just Lee Jung-jae, but an entire roster of incredible actors to the show. The political drama will throw a spotlight on the players behind the seats of power and the politicians who strive to amass as much power as possible. Lee Jung-jae serves as the chief of staff to Kim Gab-soo, who has his eye on the presidency.

The ensemble cast is rounded out by Shin Mina as a freshman assemblyman and Jung Jin-young as a veteran politician and old foil of Kim Gab-soo’s. Jung Woong-in and Lee Elijah are political aides, with Kim Dong-joon joining them as a fresh-faced and unjaded intern. Political intrigue and a stellar cast have me intrigued. The drama will be split into seasons, with each season airing 10 episodes.

With anticipation high as the drama will revolve around political aides, a profession that hasn’t been the center of previous storylines, Lee Jung Jae, Shin Min Ah, Lee Elijah, and ZE:A’s Kim Dong Jun each picked something to watch for in the upcoming series.

Lee Jung Jae – “Our lives, our individual stories”

The teasers and posters for “Chief of Staff” have elicited curiosity with the tagline, “Six grams of ambition, six grams of cost.” Lee Jung Jae explained, “Viewers will be able to gain meaning, laughter, and empathy as they watch the various characters and their ambitions.” He also added, “Politics isn’t something that is far away, it is in our lives and in our individual stories and the stories around us. ‘Chief of Staff’ will encourage viewers to take a look back on their lives, and that’s a good thing to focus on.”

Shin Min Ah – “The story of political Misaengs (Incomplete life)”

This will be the first time Shin Min Ah plays a congresswoman since making her debut as an actress, and she hopes to show a new side of herself. She explained, “‘Chief of Staff’ is a drama that reflects the greed and competitive lives of political misaengs.” The actress also stated, “As this is the first drama that deals with political aides, viewers will find lots of things to be intrigued about.”
