“The Battle: Roar To Victory” Cast Celebrates As Film Surpasses 3 Million Moviegoers

August 15, 2019 / by J. Lim

The film “The Battle: Roar to Victory” continues to air as it surpasses three million moviegoers!

On August 15 at 2:35 p.m. KST, the film surpassed three million moviegoers just nine days after its release. The achievement is especially more meaningful as it is National Liberation Day in Korea and the war movie is based on the 1920 Battle of Bongodong, which was a confrontation between Korean independence fighters and Japanese forces during the Japanese occupation of Korea.

The film stars Ryu Jun Yeol, Yoo Hae Jin, Jo Woo Jin, Choi Yoo Hwa, Sung Yoo Bin, and Lee Jae In, and the actors expressed their gratitude through handwritten messages. Yoo Hae Jin wrote, “I sincerely thank everyone for all the love,” Ryu Jun Yeol wrote down, “3 million!” and Jo Woo Jin wrote, “Three million! Thank you for joining us on this journey.” Choi Yoo Hwa wrote, “I’m so moved by three million,” Sung Yoo Bin wrote, “Three million! Thank you! Let’s keep going to 10 million~” Lastly, Lee Jae In wrote, “Thank you everyone for three million.”
