I think the pregnant woman is part of the family of SH's in-laws who killed her. So she had to choose whether to save the pregnant woman or just let the child die, I think, therefore, satisfying her desire for revenge. She chose the former.

The cruel family took her baby an left baby alone to dies .she saved the baby but they captured her.
