i’m curious why MW is staring at the old wine bottle with her symbol.. she missed the friendship sharing wine with YW and CM? or.. that bottle is like a container for something (memories?) she couldn’t let go? reminds me of harry potter suddenly, one of the horcruxes..

another great episode. i love that the writing is tackling some existential stuff. i enjoy learning something new about this world every episode. i love how the romance is just under the surface. I only watch kdrama romcoms, and most of them are so explicit about the situation and thoughts of the characters, so this is very refreshing. The Man wol/Chan Seung pair one of the most honest and most vocal romcom pairs I have seen, yet, I can only guess what both are feeling or thinking. The writing and directing choices are blowing me away. I feel like I am reading a mysterious poetic novel (something like David Mitchell's Slade House)

Just finish episode 7. There were hints throughout the episode that we will have a sad ending. Something that attracts me was when MW mumbled, Ku Chan Sung is a nice person, what would deity do about him. I don't know, but will it be a twist in the ending? Instead of sending off MW, both can live and grow old together? I would be sad if the writer goes for a sad ending. Same with the majority here, I really don't want CS to be the reincarnation of YW or FG. Let CS be CS. We should learn to let go remember? MW needs to cut ties with her past, be it YW or FG or the princess. Just run away with CS and continue bantering with each other. 

 

Aha before I forget, for FG, I think he was in circumstances. The opening with FG standing and looked to the moon and said he could see the moon better from that corner. I think he was falling for MW. The princess and FG were on arranged marriage when he met MW and the princess got to know FG love MW. Then came with all the incident.....

But I don't know, I keep thinking GCS is the Captain/General and he was ONCE the princess's lover, but after meeting JMW he changed. He picked his duty over his heart that's why he married the princess instead. The princess knows that the Captain/General doesn't love her anymore, that's why she goes and torture JMW by killing Yeon Woo. This makes JMW think it's the Captain/General's order that's why she's going to kill them both on the wedding night.

 

Honestly, it's just a guess, because the Hong sisters is doing such a good job with this mystery of all their past that we are all thinking different theories here. But I really like your theory that GCS is Yeon Woo and JMW feels bad/guilty, that's why she's still waiting for him.

Lots of us watch it online streaming sites which usually have subs out early. Viki is slower at subbing so I usually always go back to watch it when it’s at 100% or more. 

 

If you want, i can send a link where one of the chingus sent here for me too. Let me know.

 

Otherwise you can simply google “hotel del luna episode 7 with English subs” and options will pop out. I have sites i often use but I can’t post it on here because it is not an official site like Viki. The ones we watch are more secondary subbing sites for dramas

I have read somewhere that today they will release the OST sang by Gummy. It has been played several times in the previous episodes, which one of the longer version was at the ending scene of ep 6, where MW and CS spent time together at the beach. I just realized that the lyrics will be very match with the scene in upcoming ep 8.

While I'm not an expert at translating song lyrics, I tried my best.

Awwwwww good point. It would be kind of sweet if it were that way. It's like CS had to know MW past so if he falls in love with her, it will be true. Like no matter what MW did that she forgot, CS knows all about it but still loves her despite of that and will try to save her, to make her a better person so she does not reincarnate as... pork lol. It's true love.

No. MW did not kill that guy. She only showed the gods the extent of his depravity (that his victims were so many that he couldn't even remember their individual names or faces) and then let fate take its course. 

 

The gods are all-knowing so she MG#4 can't frame her for sth she did not to. But she can engineer situations in which MW is likely to make the wrong choice and that would give her the excuse she needs to vanish her. I am guessing MR is at the center of that.

Such a bittersweet episode, I wish Ghost 13 found peace, but sadly since she's an evil spirit, it can't be helped. Glad that the guy responsible was punished..but did the 4th deity actually killed him? I mean, can they kill human now? The video sharing kinda reminds me of the one that happened to Kpop months ago..haaaiz...

 

Things I love about this episode..

~ MW consistently protecting CS..love her angry face when CS was hurt by that husband ghost. When she said "CS did his best regardless of how weak he is. I wonder what the deity will do to him". She's really falling for him...and deeply.

~ CS lowkey overprotective of MW when it comes to men..ha ha..just say that there's no one for her but you! ^^

~ Our second couple moments, Yu Na and Hyun Joong..looks like they're progressing faster than MW and CS  Why do I feel like we will say goodbye to Hyun Joong pretty soon?

~ When that female employee (sorry forgot her name) realizes how good a person CS is.

 

So CS was hit by the ghost grudge. And when he was heartbroken after he saw what happened to Ghost 13, he was hurting right there. What if everytime he gets heartbroken, that part will always hurt and so we saw him sorta about to faint in the preview for ep 8. Looks like MW will lure/invite Mira in HDL and probably show her of her past and CS will try and stop MW, hurting himself in the process.

 

I think I'm gonna have to prepare myself for some heartbreak in ep 8. Our poor Yeon Woo, I can't watch him like that...it hurts to see him smile before his death . I think I'm gonna have to agree as well that Firefly Guard might not really like MW, because if he did, how could he smile during his wedding with Song Hwa like it's nothing. YW's death most likely happened before their wedding.

 

The 4th deity really believes history will repeat itself. Bringing back Mira into CS's life is not a coincidence. She will be the test given to MW. So is MW really dead? Why did she say "I should've gone to these places before I had died"..not sure if there's a mistranslation there. Since we all know it was never addressed what she really is.

 

So excited for the next eps...why do I feel like 2 eps a week ain't enough??..lol..craving for more...

 

All right, time for me to take a two-day break. I'll reserve ep 8 so I'll have something to look forward when I come back!~

Hello guys first time posting here, but been lurking since the drama start, I can't believe we're in 7&8 episodes already. All I hope is that whatever Man Wol mistake did in the past won't do it again in the present. Mago is giving her a chance to do it right by sending help in the presence of Chansung but of course it's not easy as she has grudge, anger, resentment, hatred in her heart, and of course the other Deities, Whatever happens as the drama unfolds  it's all connected or Parallel to what happen in ManWol's life, hope she let go all of those so that when she finally crosses she will be reincarnated and have a good and happy life and met Chansung again. 

 

I do believe Chansung isnt reincarnation of YW or the guard

I liked this episode a lot.  It wasn't as funny as some previous episodes but was just as clever.  My favorite clever bit is using the invitation words to hack the GPS system.  But also, as I've said before, how they creatively updated the Diana and Actaeon myth.  (Diana the moon goddess was spied on having a bath by Actaeon.  In order to shut him up about seeing her naked, she has him torn to pieces).  In this we have a girl spied on with her lover, and when she dies she invites the voyeurs to pornographically peek at her in order to kill them.

 

The Hong Sisters have already used a number of moon goddess myths this way; I wonder what others might be in store for us!  Plus their shout outs to shows with moon symbolism.  It's fun stuff!

 

The one thing I found curious is CS grabbing his heart when Room 13 girl died.  Is he so empathetic and loving that his heart aches for her (not out of the question, as we're starting to learn how caring he is)?  Or is his failure to save her a failure in a way to save Man Weol (this ghost is a reflection of her in terms of her personality - revenge/bloodthirsty side)?  Or is this related to this grudge hit we heard about but know nothing more?

 

Another thing - I liked the first love ghost thing because we are of course dealing with two other first loves - one for MW (Captain) and one for CS (Mira).  But the woman chose her first love over her husband!  What are the Hong Sisters trying to tell us with this story, if anything?  I don't, wondering if you do.

 

Last, the blind sister and the desk clerk - every time that 'my grandfather's clock' tune starts up I find myself on the verge of tearing up and I don't even know the sad story!

I don't think Chan Seung is any reincarnation and honestly I don't want him to be. Man Wol deserves happiness, a fresh start and for that to happen Chan Seung has to be somebody who is not connected to either one.
