KBS gave viewers a first look at “Forest” (literal title)!

This new drama is about people with realistic desires and ambitions, each of whom harbors emotional scars from their own unhappy memories, as they gather in a special space called the “forest.” As they discover the true meaning of happiness and learn to love themselves and others, their wounds slowly begin to heal.

In the teaser, Park Hae Jin walks through a forest. He says, “I’ve been there before” and viewers get a glimpse of his past where he sits on a log with a girl in the forest. He blows on a wooden whistle as Jo Bo Ah turns around. The words on the screen say, “Everything started in this forest” followed by quick flashes of fire, blood, and a collapsed man on the floor.

As Jo Bo Ah walks down the hospital hallway covered in blood, she says she ran away after abandoning a patient. Park Hae Jin adds, “No one can be a hindrance to my plan, neither my forgotten memory nor you.”

I will watch Money Game but you are right, this drama will not be popular with the younger audience/ or a large audience but I hope it will be translated.

@larus, good news!  Money Game is already licensed by ODK

PHJ has a big fanbase. I suppose the drama will have okay ratings. If the plot manages to attract viewers attention it may get huge ratings, there are no direct competition in its timeslot. Unless SBS brings back its Wed-Thurs drama slo

yes, I agree...  Except for the fact that Taecyeon also has a big fan base...

Either way, I am super excited that this drama is now licensed and we will get to see it soon.

Jo Bo Ah Takes On Her 1st Ever Doctor Role In “Forest”

Jo Bo Ah gave viewers a glimpse of her transformation into a doctor!

On January 15, KBS 2TV’s “Forest” released its first stills of Jo Bo Ah as skillful doctor Jung Young Jae.

This upcoming drama is about a man who has everything but a heart, and a woman who has lost everything but her heart. It follows their love story after meeting in a mysterious forest as they uncover the secret behind the forest and themselves.

Jo Bo Ah will appear as a surgeon named Jung Young Jae who has a refreshing personality and seeks justice. She is enthusiastic about everything in life and gets involved in other people’s business. She suffers from sudden memories from her childhood trauma, adding joy and sorrow to the drama.

In the stills, Jung Young Jae tries to dance away the nerves before surgery. While changing into her scrubs, she dances to the music and turns the hallway into her own stage. After tying her hair up, she becomes a serious surgeon in front of a patient.

This scene was filmed inside of a hospital in Gangnam. Jo Bo Ah filled the set with bright energy and excitement as she stepped onto the set for her first day of filming. She continued to smile during rehearsals and expertly portrayed her character once cameras began rolling.

Jo Bo Ah said, “I came to set with expectations and excitement, and it was so much fun because there was endless laughter. One of my dreams when I was young was becoming a doctor, so I feel really excited that I get to portray a doctor. Jung Young Jae is a really bright character but also someone who has a lot of pain. Please give lots of love to ‘Forest’ and to Jung Young Jae who will grow as the story continues.”

A source from the drama added, “Jo Bo Ah perfectly portrayed Jung Young Jae from the first day of filming and satisfied 200 percent of the staff’s expectations. Please look forward to her first attempt at portraying a doctor since her debut and Jo Bo Ah’s acting that will heal many viewers’ hearts.”

“Forest” premieres on January 29 at 10 p.m. KST. Check out the teaser here!

Dancing before surgery in Forest’s new stills with Jo Boa and Park Hae-jin

by tineybeanie

phj_jba2.jpg

Forest (formerly known as Secret) has released new stills of its main characters in the run-up to its broadcast premiere later this month. The drama stars Jo Boa (My Strange Hero) and Park Hae-jin (Man to Man), with the plot centering around the romance that develops when they’re forced to live together (for mysterious reasons of course).

Set against the backdrop of a mystical forest, Park Hae-jin is a man who’s got it all, but seems heartless. Jo Boa is a woman who seems to have lost everything but her heart. As they cohabitate on a secluded mountainside, they learn more about the secrets that surround them.

Jo Boa plays an ace surgeon with an unstoppable, refreshing personality. She is strong toward the strong and weak toward the weak. With her busybody nature, she tries to make justice a reality whenever she can. However, she has a childhood trauma related to her family that surfaces from time to time, impacting her in the present. The stills show her in her scrubs and also dancing to relieve the stress before going into surgery.

Park Hae-jin plays a mergers and acquisitions specialist with an extraordinary intellect and Midas touch when it comes to investments. He’s also blessed with good looks and keen, almost animalistic, instincts. Yet he’s tortured by the memories he lost from the time before he was 10 years old. His life journey takes him from the corporate world to joining a fire and rescue team, but it’s unclear how that fits in with his background in finance. The stills show him in a delivery man costume, as he tries to accurately assess a company’s situation incognito.

Park Hae Jin And Jo Bo Ah Lean In For A Romantic Moment In Breathtaking Poster For “Forest”

Park Hae Jin And Jo Bo Ah Lean In For A Romantic Moment In Breathtaking Poster For “Forest”

KBS 2TV’s “Forest” has released its main poster!

This upcoming drama is about a man who has everything but a heart, and a woman who has lost everything but her heart. It follows their love story after meeting in a mysterious forest as they uncover the secret behind the forest and themselves.

Park Hae Jin will appear as Kang San Hyuk, an “unrealistic romantic man” who dreams of having 1 trillion won (approximately $862 million) in personal assets, while Jo Bo Ah will play Jung Young Jae, an ace surgeon with a refreshing personality who seeks justice.

The main poster showcases Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah riding bikes together in a forest. The sunlight pours down on the two as they lean in towards each other. They both have small grins on their faces as the tips of their noses almost touch, adding to the sweet and romantic mood of the poster.

Viewers are excited to see how these two different people—a man who must become the winner in the war that is reality, and a woman who expects to rise in the ranks of the nation’s top university hospital—meet in a mysterious forest, and how the story of their love will unfold.

The main poster was shot at a temple in Pyeongchang County, Gangwon Province. As soon as they arrived on set, Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah expressed their admiration for the mysterious atmosphere created by the densely packed green trees. They also had fun riding their bikes through the forest together even before filming began.

The production staff stated, “‘Forest’ will be a pleasant and honest portrayal of a life in the forest that everyone has dreamed of at least once in their lives. The actors’ passionate performances will provide a sense of empathy and healing. Please look forward to it.”

“Forest” premieres on January 29 at 10 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here!

Park Hae Jin And Jo Bo Ah’s Upcoming Drama Reveals Stills Of Their Peculiar First Meeting

Jan 17, 2020
by R. Jun
680f0ec0ec474eee86be591d40e605d1.jpeg?s=

Upcoming KBS 2TV drama “Forest” has revealed new stills of Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah.

The drama is about a man who has everything but a heart, and a woman who has lost everything but her heart. It follows their love story after they meet in a mysterious forest and try to uncover the secret behind the forest and themselves.

Park Hae Jin plays Kang San Hyuk, an elite specialist at an investment firm who will do whatever it takes to achieve his life goal of obtaining 1 trillion won (approximately $863 million) in personal assets. Jo Bo Ah is a talented surgeon named Jung Young Jae, who is confident and assertive no matter the situation.

In the new stills, Kang San Hyuk and Jung Young Jae meet for the first time in a hospital cafeteria. Kang San Hyuk is wearing a suit jacket over his hospital clothing, and only one dress shoe. He’s holding Jung Young Jae’s coffee, and though Young Jae’s about to explain her life philosophy that nothing can be free, she is too dumbfounded by Kang San Hyuk to say much.

A source from the drama said, “Despite it being their first time working together, Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah have brought to life scenes with incredible chemistry.”
