KBS 2TV’s “Forest” has released beautiful new posters of Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah!

The upcoming KBS 2TV drama is about a man who has everything but a heart, and a woman who has lost everything but her heart. It follows their love story after they meet in a mysterious forest as they try to uncover the secret behind the forest and themselves.

The aesthetic green-tinted posters of Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah hint at their hidden story and the healing romance that’s to come in the drama.

Park Hae Jin has taken on the role of Kang San Hyuk, the elite specialist at an investment firm with an extraordinary brain and animal-like instincts. In his poster, Kang San Hyuk is in a sharp suit while wandering around the forest. As he carefully pushes away the branch covering his path, he cautiously looks around his surroundings. His text reads, “I have to know. The person who designed all this,” sparking the viewers’ curiosity as to what his hidden story regarding Miryeong Forest could be.

Jo Bo Ah plays the talented surgeon Jung Young Jae who has a feisty personality and isn’t afraid of anyone. In her poster, Jung Young Jae looks pure and elegant in her orange dress that stands out amidst the green background. Looking like a flower in the middle of a forest, she has a soft expression as she reaches out with her hand to block the sunlight. Above her, the text reads, “The miracle the forest has given me… is you.”

 

The production team shared, “We tired to capture the story Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah will unfold in their character posters. Please show lots of interest for the healing story of ‘Forest,’ which will contain the grandeur of nature as well as romance and be the first domestic [drama] to take place in the forest.”

“Forest” premieres on January 29 at 10 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Woman of 9.9 Billion” and will be available on Viki. Watch a teaser for the drama here!

Finally! Finally! Park Hae Jin returns to the screen... in a melo romance apparently.  About time too.

 

This show gives me Chocolate vibes. Could be good... could be a step too late. Anyway, if it's half the drama Chocolate is, that'll be enough for me. It doesn't have to be a great drama because I'd be happy even if PHJ spent most of his time flipping through the phone book pensively angsting over past trauma.

 

Chemistry between the leads seems pretty good.

 

And yes, @nonski I have been lurking about regularly trying to get updates on this. Thanks for keeping this thread alive.

“Forest” is about a man who has everything but a heart, and a woman who has lost everything but her heart. It follows their love story after they meet in a mysterious forest as they try to uncover the secret behind the forest and themselves.

Park Hae Jin plays Kang San Hyuk, the elite specialist at an investment firm with an extraordinary brain and animal-like instincts.

In the new stills, Kang San Hyuk is going through rappel training, which is one of the aerial rescue exercises. He is fully focused, and both his facial expression and body are tense with seriousness. He doesn’t hesitate to jump down from a model helicopter floating three stories high. Viewers are looking forward to Park Hae Jin’s vivid action scenes in the drama.

In a related development, Park Hae-jin has been seen battling to become an "air rescue worker" of 119 special rescue teams. In the play, Kang San-hyuk is being trained to lower from the Rappel, one of the aerial rescue exercises. Kang is seriously training with a tense look on his body in a model helicopter floating on the third floor, leaving himself to the rope and jumping boldly. Attention is mounting to what story Kang San-hyuk, who was famous as a specialist, turned into an aviation rescue worker for 119 special rescue teams overnight.

 

The scene of Park’s "air rescue team training" in a uniform was staged at the 119 Special Rescue Team located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. Park, who was known as "Pacific Suit" until the previous shooting, drew applause from the set with his special transformation, in which he appeared in 119 rescue uniforms from head to foot. In particular, Park, who had been trained and trained voluntarily even before the filming of "Forrest," warmed the scene with his initiative by talking with the actors he filmed with and giving them a helmet safety checkups.

For those not familiar, Park Hae Jin, even prior to this drama had some sort of experience or familiarity in this training when he volunteered to model for free on the National Fire Agency 2020 calendar.  He is a sort of figure representative of said agency.  Their office is mainly covered by his photos in firefighting uniform.  In 2018 he was conferred the honorary firefighter position and late in 2019 he was promoted as the honorary fire marshall.  He is like a brand ambassador of the Korea National Fire Agency.

Upcoming KBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ” Forest” has released new stills of Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah.

“Forest” will tell the story of a man who has everything but a heart and a woman who has lost everything but her met as they meet in a mystical forest and attempt to uncover the secrets within it.

Park Hae Jin plays Kang San Hyuk, a man who is willing to do anything to achieve his goal of amassing a personal fortune of one trillion won (approximately $850 million) and is interested in nothing else. Jo Bo Ah plays Jung Young Jae, a skilled surgeon who wants to teach people who show off a lesson.

The new stills show Kang San Hyuk and Jung Young Jae in an unexpectedly close moment in the hospital. Jung Young Jae is watching over Kang San Hyuk as he lays in the hospital with a pitiful expression on her face. Things take a turn when he opens his eyes and suddenly pulls Jung Young Jae in for an embrace, surprising her and bringing their faces close together. It is still a mystery why perfectionist Kang San Hyuk seems to change around Jung Young Jae when he’s in the hospital as a patient.

The production staff shared, “From the preparation stage to filming, Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah showed amazing concentration and passion for the production. We plan to bring warmth to viewers with a healing romance, so please keep an eye on ‘Forest.'”
