No, it is not Park Hae Jin but Shin Sung Rok. She was happy that there were good news for her. One is that Secret might have an airing date and her favorite actor has new projects.

 

I see that Wikipedia has KBS2 as the broadcast and and airing date, January 29, but we don`t have an official confirmation yet. I think it is true that Secret will be following 9.9 Billion Woman. I did not hear anything about KBS2 preparing other drama for this timeslot. It is not possible to air any other drama who did not start shooting.

I was wrong. There is another drama that KBS2 has on the same timespot. Oh My Men/ Oh My Boys and after that another drama Welcome Home.

I don`t know what is going on. Or maybe the information is not valid anymore.

Maybe KBS will start airing dramas in Monday-Tuesday timeslot again.

If you guys have noticed, news reports and even in the MM post, the drama is referred to as "Forest" and not "Secret".

It had been officially changed to "Forest" as per our notice on Club Jins.

To be sure tho, let's wait for the airing or KBS's website updates.

KBS2 to air drama series “Forest” from January 29th

KBS2 is set to air drama series “Forest,” starring Park Hae-Jin & Jo Bo-Ah, from January 29, 2020. The drama series previously went under the working title of “Secret” and will now slot into KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Woman of 9.9 Billion.” Filming for the drama series finished August, 2019 and the drama series will air as completed production.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Kang San-Hyeok (Park Hae-Jin) is a member of the 119 special rescue team. He is handsome and smart, but he does not remember his childhood. Jung Young-Jae (Jo Bo-Ah) is an enthusiastic surgical resident.

Kang San-Hyeok and Jung Young-Jae meet at a mysterious forest. Even though they do not want to, they must live together in the mysterious forest. Living there, they discover small pleasures. Kang San-Hyeok and Jung Young-Jae soon uncover a secret about themselves and the forest.

Yes KBS2 Wednesday Thursday is a good slot because of the competition is not that fierce.

 

Compare to Monday with 3 big drama 

Doctor kim with 18% , black dog with 5% and diary of prosecutor with 3.5%

 

The competition in wednesday thursday is TvN money game and MBC The Game Toward Zero 

 

It is 3 new drama airing so it would be a good battle. 

 

Let see how this one going. Recent drama in this timeslot achieving 10%+ hopefully this drama aswell!

I am glad that this drama finally will air. I always wanted to see a drama about rescue forces, about people working on such teams.

But it is something I don`t like in the preview. It looks like the protagonists are childhood friends/ crushes, whatever. Please, stop this trop, kdramas!  Take some rest!  All the time, everywhere, I see the fateful first love stories. But allright , I can get over it if the drama has a good script. Fingers crossed.

hmmm. "Money Game" sounds good, but I think it may not appeal to younger audience, and maybe that is why Viki did not license it?   But "The Game Towards Zero" could be a tough competition, because of Taek-Yeon  in it - and it is first show after the military.  So far, KOCOWA is already advertisiing "The Game Towards Zero," but sadly - not "Forest." Probably, because it is a new decision that KBS is going to air it.
No matter, I am sure this Drama will do well, and possibly - even very well.

I am already so exited there is an air-date this month!

I will watch Money Game but you are right, this drama will not be popular with the younger audience/ or a large audience but I hope it will be translated. I did not worry about Forest/ former Secret drama. I thought it will be translate for sure. No matter who will do the translations, I wish there will be available.  Fingers crossed.

 

It is good that this drama will follow the Nr 1 in the timeslot. I think Forest will come first too but they will mentain the lead only if the drama is good.

Meanwhile, below are still images of Park Hae-Jin in the drama series. He plays Kang San-Hyeok. He is a M&A specialist, with a cool, perfectionist personality. Due to an unexplained reason, he begins to work as a member of a 911 special rescue team.

“Forest” first airs January 29, 2020 in South Korea.

PHJ has a big fanbase. I suppose the drama will have okay ratings. If the plot manages to attract viewers attention it may get huge ratings, there are no direct competition in its timeslot. Unless SBS brings back its Wed-Thurs drama slot. 

 

I have no clue what to expect from Forest/Secret. The original synopsis and the teaser are not really in-line, there also seems to be a childhood trope thrown in.

KBS gave viewers a first look at “Forest” (literal title)!

This new drama is about people with realistic desires and ambitions, each of whom harbors emotional scars from their own unhappy memories, as they gather in a special space called the “forest.” As they discover the true meaning of happiness and learn to love themselves and others, their wounds slowly begin to heal.

In the teaser, Park Hae Jin walks through a forest. He says, “I’ve been there before” and viewers get a glimpse of his past where he sits on a log with a girl in the forest. He blows on a wooden whistle as Jo Bo Ah turns around. The words on the screen say, “Everything started in this forest” followed by quick flashes of fire, blood, and a collapsed man on the floor.

As Jo Bo Ah walks down the hospital hallway covered in blood, she says she ran away after abandoning a patient. Park Hae Jin adds, “No one can be a hindrance to my plan, neither my forgotten memory nor you.”

yes, I agree...  Except for the fact that Taecyeon also has a big fan base...

Either way, I am super excited that this drama is now licensed and we will get to see it soon.
