It seems like very long time ago that when I'm waiting for next episode. 

Oh my, KSH sleeping comfortably with JYJ on his arm. They look too relax, so no romantic moment before sleeping eh? 

Being around someone like KSH is very stressful and tiring. My own boss is like that. He only sleep for 4hours a day. And when he awake, he will go to business without caring his subordinate live or die. Err... No, awake or sleeping. Since our operation is 24/7, we (the subordinate) have to take turn to monitor operation. Person like KSH, is perfectionist, his mind is always nonstop thinking, a strategies, they always right. Sometimes, we will wish our boss go on sick leave, but no... Business is priority. They might achieve what they targeted but along the way, they will lost everybody trust, support, friends and teamwork. But, KSH is still not beyond hopeless bcoz deeply, there's a guilty concious. He treat elderly with respect. There are moment when he show he can be truly a good guy. And he had JYJ on his side. 

So, lets hope he stopped before its too late. Repent on what his job makes him do. Choi Chang seems like a nice guy to be friend with. Unfortunately, he also has a shady hyungnim aka appa. Hmmm... Minus on that.

Time to head back into the Forest again chingus.  Not sure if this has been posted before, but it’s a subbed version of BTS (nay, not the ubiquitous boy band, but the original acronym for Behind The Scenes).  Note the flies who crashed the party as cameos and wanted their 5 seconds of fame.  Unceremoniously shooed away.

I always go to SM (MOA) Mall of ASIA every morning to drive my sister to work... If only I knew then that they would be there I were able to get a glimpse of PHJ. (sigh of regrets).

Well started off with the funny part... 

OBM at the rescue center talking to CC, guess trying to talk to him again about their personal issues over professional one lols.  She is all haughty going back to her car, closed the door and was half screaming inside.  Funny thing is all the time she was doing that and grumbling inside her patrol car, she was sitting on the radio and everything she did is being broadcast right along as she rode off.  CC is laughing as well as two other firefighters.  (note I am beginning to root for these two)

 

At the clinic, YJ receives a call.  She encounters the resident and there he goes again... 

 

SH helps with ajummas, they seem to be cooking.  One of the elders fell ill and SH had to carry her to rest.  He saw she is not feeling well and asked her some questions.

 

Maknae firefighter informed SH that he had a guest.  He went down and saw the baddie director.  He seems to scare SH about exposing him but SH isn't fazed by it.  Baddie director is looking into the chart, something like that, that SH made, about the connections to Miryoung, revenge, etc.

 

Flight to the Philippines

SH arrives at Manila, checks in at the hotel (Okada Manila), unknowingly, YJ checks in as well...

 

SH came to greet some CEO and introduced himself.

YJ attends health convention.  Someone calls YJ, it's the Ex.  YJ unexpectedly met SH as she went to the restrooms.  "Director?!" YJ asked when Sec called SH director lols and SH keeps slapping his mouth.  Sec and SH let YJ think that SH is actually his staff.

 

YJ mets with Ex.  SH is all cute while thinking of what to text with YJ and is agitated she is meeting her ex.  

 

CEO got a huge bouquet of flowers, think it's from SH and Sec.  SH saw YJ at the elevator, i think he was asking her not to go as she is meeting the ex.  YJ went on and SH was left there, not sure but his eyes looks like it's about to cry.  All the while CEO is waiting, seems SH had set up a meeting with him.  Sec is anxious already.  Still standing there, SH got his resolve and run up the stairs.

So true!  One time he is all haughty then he does that jogomi thing in front of CC and another firefighter, sometimes it would could come across as cute but well that would be his character.  Many more things about his behavioral swings.  And yes he will fail, big time.  I will try to post (always trying, too many work) some coherent thoughts here hahaha.  Thank you always for your insightful thoughts chingu!

EDIT: And why do I feel that he was not really asleep while JYJ was tracing his nose & lips coz he got shy so he moved his head away from her? Looks like he was just pretending to be still sleeping just to enjoy that moment with her on the bed? I noticed his other hand was embracing her left shoulder and he kept on moving while pretending to be sleeping...

Ep17

 

In the forest fire. YJ and Team leader in the chopper are yelling at SH through the walkie-talkie to wake up. SH mutters It’s my fault the village burnt down. Finally wakes up, hooks himself up to the rope and is rescued.

 

Hospital scene with nurse attaching drip onto YJ informing SH that she would be fine after resting. (Why she’s not on oxygen is beyond me - she had smoke inhalation? ) SH leaves to find CC’s dad at the timber mill and asks him about the fire from the past. CC’s dad says he remembers a little boy who lived with his grandma who ran away with their belongings when the fire broke out.  They didn’t even bother to say goodbye so CC’s dad says it had to be them that caused the fire. SH argues that’s circumstantial evidence and doesn’t prove anything. CC gets agitated that SH distrusts his version of events. SH said the events from yesterday’s fire seemed very similar to the fire from 25years ago. CC’s dad waves him off.

 

SH researches on his laptop about fire 25years ago. CC’s dad is suspicious about SH after his line of questioning. 
 

At HQ locker room. SH looks at his resignation letter. Sighs and puts it back in the locker. Team leader giving them a debrief and commends them for the work yesterday. Mentions that they will return to check on the villagers.  SH volunteers to go too because he remembers his grandma and wants to help. CC looks suspicious. Team Leader takes SH aside to show him video of what happened at the rescue yesterday and asks him what happened.  SH said he just froze momentarily and brushes it off.  TL reminds him not to hide anything from him.

 

Back at hospital, Dr Park and nurse attend to YJ. YJ insists on getting back to work. Nurse tells her SH was there and only left after he was assured YJ would be fine.

 

SH fronts up to the villagers who admire his handsomeness  .  He goes through a spiel about the Rescue Unit.  They praise him for the heroic rescue yesterday.  He’s lapping it up.   They lead him somewhere into the forest and seem to be harvesting plants.  He’s helping them.  He notices one of them wearing a BOSSAM tshirt. He asks one of them about the fire from the past.  She looks uncomfortable and avoids his line of questioning. They all look uncomfortable and look away from him. 
 

2FL is trying to track down those 2 men they chased from the forest before and find that their getaway car has actually been scrapped?  She goes to check on video footage (I think these are cameras checking for possible fires) and discovers that there’s been tampering of the forest video footage (camera 6 was off?).  She links it back to the car.  She visits the scene of the fire (where specialists are trying to work out the cause of the fire) and retraces the events from yesterday.  Remembering the explosion and wonders what the 2 men were up to. 
 

Back at hospital. YJ is seeing patients. She is still coughing. She heads back to the forest to take samples of the piped mountain water. Bumps into 2FL. They exchange heated words. Flashback to when they were at school.  Their dislike of each other started there. They fight and discover a bore hole by chance.

 

At HQ. CC asks about SH if he has another profession. He is told that SH can’t possibly be working another job if he’s in a rescue unit. CC then pulls out the DaSeong business card (the one he found in SH’s coat pocket) and asks if SH’s phone number matches that on the card. He is told off (don’t be ridiculous) and he walks away holding the card and muttering to himself. He dials the number on the card. 
 

Back in the forest with SH and the old ladies. He’s still trying to ask them about the fire but they ignore him. His phone rings and he picks up. His secretary tells him a certain unknown number rang him (CC) and he asks what he should do about it.  SH checks the number on his phone and finds out it is CC’s.  SH tells him to pick up. He does and CC hangs up on him. CC wonders why it’s not SH’s voice and why he has so many of DaSeong business cards in his coat pocket. 
 

YJ is back at hospital and finds Dr Park going through old stuff in the cupboards.  YJ finds a tuning fork amongst the stuff. 
 

Night. Both YJ and SH return to the lodgings. They see each other outside the house. They ask how each other are. He says they should have dinner together (he shows her a bag of ingredients).  She heads back inside and prepares for their date, deliberating about wardrobe . She really makes an effort.  Meanwhile he is cooking (freshly picked mountain greens). She arrives.  He seems surprised that she’s gone through all that effort to doll up.   He says there’s only one dish - something he picked up along the way home.  He made soup. (Could this be the flower soup that he was talking to her about?).  She approves.  She starts talking about his grandma, how she must’ve taught him all these things. He says she’s never taught him this dish.  He said on one occasion when he was sick he suddenly felt the urge to eat a particular dish she had made before.  It struck him that (because she had passed) no matter how he tried to recreate it, she would never be able to taste it anyway. So he realized it was a lost cause. It would never taste the same because it wasn’t made by HER hands. YJ said it was the same for her with her mother’s RaMen. SH said he would don her hand cream (?) when making meals and it made all the difference?  She tells him she bought wine to share. They move outside to drink the wine.  She talks about how strange it is that a person’s hands tell the story of their lives.  She asks how it is that his hands can create something so delicious. She thought they were “black” initially but it turns out they are “white”.  She says he appeared obnoxious and then he should surprise her by suddenly appearing saintly .  She sees him rescuing people so she doubts he is a devil in disguise. (Uh oh...foreshadowing...when the big reveal happens).  He says I am a devil - don’t be fooled. She looks disturbed.  She takes out the tuning forks, hangs them off a tree and hits one of them. She asks if he remembers an experiment they used to do at school. When one fork is hit, the waves resonate and causes the other to ring as well. She explains that when he’s nasty, she resonates and it brings out the worst in her too. But she says she can usually hold herself back with others but not with him? She asks him why he thinks he’s Satan/the devil. He confesses he too has been moved by her and the forest (I love the metaphor of the tuning forks ).  But he says he needs to stop now, nothing should hinder his plan, that he has to accomplish his goals. Neither his memories nor her can stop it.  He said that was why he wanted to make her a meal...it was to be their last supper.  She tries to convince him otherwise. He tells her he’s leaving this place soon.  She said she won’t strike chords with him anymore and walks away.  (NOOOOO....). SH bravely holds back his tears. YJ is crying in the house .  She calls him an idiotic devil. 
 

END.

 

EDIT - I think @beyaruth has recapped most of Ep18.  I will watch later and see if I can add anymore thoughts.  I really really love their conversations in these quieter moments.  They are deep and very well written.

what could go wrong between last position & the one before he need to hide it
