wow I watched Stairway to Heaven too, I loved the second movement of Chopin's Piano Concerto no. 1 played by the main lead at the end. So sad. I loved the second male lead's sacrifice to donate his eyes to his beloved.

i dont really remember the story but i do remember the last scene at the beach.. coz my mom was being overdramatic over the death of the lead actress.. :joy:

Oh hey! and your most fav 'oppa' is the equivalent of mango! Cos once you taste it, it becomes the benchmark and you measure other fruits against it! :relaxed:

kekek.. spoken like a true mango fan! :D

What I like about soompi? The ppl who will convince you that you have to watch a particular drama else your whole life is a waste.  That passion for a drama is what I love. Whether I end up hating or loving that series is irrelevant. But the enthusiasm that people show is what I love. I am still learning how to express that passion.

LOL... so true! sometimes, the drama is nowhere close to being that entertaining but the reviews and reactions make it more special than it is..

Hello,  everyone. It's nice we have this new thread. Even though  it looks like a food porn thread to me :D But I love food so I'm not complaining.  Anyway, I found soompie a few years ago when I was looking for an English forum for a Chinese drama but didn't sign up till 2017. I'm not really into K-drama though. Sorry to all of you K-drama lovers :sweatingbullets:

@triplem that durian pic looks delicious.

I really envy my Malaysian friends who can have durian in low prices. Malaysian and Thailand durians is quite expensive here.

Omo..i see @Visually-wandering. Long time no see~ but i can't recall in which drama thread did we have discussions

Anyways..i went checking how long i've been on soompi. I've been here since Jan 2010. So 9 yearsss. Omg, if i had a kid, he/she would be in primary school already hahaha.

And i also can't really recall my first kdrama. But it might be Dae Jang Gum or Jewel in the Palace. And what was Dae Jang Gum about? FOOD!

And that bgm..so iconic. I remember watching bits and pieces of this drama with my dad. The memories~

@joonminfan @Matilda_Anne @nohamahamoud2002 -- there is a category of dramas that includes winter sonata and boys before flowers

A. the plot makes no sense; try creating a plot synopsis to explain to a friend on why they should watch it or why it is so popular and you would be utterly stumped :sweatingbullets:

B. you are losing brain cells as you watch but you can't help but press the next button to watch

C. time passes and lots of dramas come and go but for reasons that are hard to explain (or even duplicate by PDs), you still remember bits and pieces of the drama and how much you enjoyed it..... :D

but the best bit -- you are on soompi! and so you don't need to explain why on earth this weird drama is addictive, it just is!
