Keep 'em coming @gm4queen! While we are at it, I also agree with @madinked about how dazzling JNR looked in the hospital.

JNR is one of those actresses who is blessed (or cursed) with youthful looks. Being super petite further contributes to that youthfulness. And her previous roles always have elements of naivete, foolishness and immaturity. In VIP, her character has been elevated to a serious, professional career woman (never have I seen her wearing stilettos as much as she has in this drama!). JS is a very mature role. I stayed with this drama because I felt the emotions she conveyed. Despite her acting here being more subdued than her previous dramas. It feel like watching JNR grow up.

Congratulations JNR! I hope you keep continue getting offers for awesome roles such as JS.

Aw that dialogue between sung jun and jinho hits me really hard.

"I wanted to do well and go to the top. That is the only thing I could do as a poor born person. Maybe I wanted to show it to Jung-sun and to everyone. When I was on the edge, I should have made a decision. I thought this should be okay. But my choice was far away from the edge. When I woke up, I was far away. But, actually this is good. i can stop here."

This is a real person problem when you are poor and want to taste the top.

when you thought you are doing your best but instead you are far away.

i know from the start that sung jun dont even have a real feeling for yuri it just taste of pitiful from him.

both moving on maybe on of the idealistic conclusion with sung jun finding peace with himself and jung sun finding her own life

Imo with this kind of ending it actually open up possiblity for second season or sequel.

Its an open ending and open up possibilty on their next life after divorce and possibly their reconcile. It can be a new whole drama moving on from VIP theme itself.

More like melodrama

It's really nice story. But I was hoping that SJ will run towards JS at the end.

So you wanted them to work things out?  I don't think you are alone. I keep wondering if i could get back with him after finding out everything about him and all the hurt he caused...nope, couldn't do it.  His character is to dishonest and shady.  I do believe he loves his wife and he will regret all of the decisions he made but he will be like his mother, alone with regret.

For me,  it is a bittersweet ending

I am glad that they showed us JS moved on,  and have a normal life.  And for SJ, just what he had said to JS,  "if he talked about his father and being an illegitimate child, and if he talked about the thing that VP offers him with JS. Will it be different than now?"  Glad that SJ knows since when he went wrong.

And that YR

Life is so easy for her,  huh

Destroying other's marriages, got a wealthy father,  got an easy job,  after things went wrong,  she just go to overseas and moved on.

What an easy ending for her.

And the last,  i am happy that they showed us, HA,  MN's life.

And SW being a scary senior in the office.

The preview seem to imply (I repeat imply) a possible reconciliation between Jung Sun/Sung Jun but I'm not holding my breath. It gave me slight pleasure that Sung Jun still considers himself the husband.. which rubs salt into Yu Ri's wound..:smirk:

South Koreans need to check themselves for their alcoholic intolerance, what happened to Jung Sun was unacceptable! Be it a VIP client or not.:P He caused serious harm & it could've gotten potentially worse.

Sang Woo's Why are there no secrets here?! got me LoL. He's really admirable, despite his privileged background he chose to work hard instead of relying on his connections more than I can say for Yu Ri. Who btw still whines that she's been dealt harshly by hands of fate, gee I wonder why?!

Have a very Merry X'mas everyone & Happy hols~

My relatives are still stuck in traffic...might as well use this time to post my initial reactions to others' reactions/recaps of the finale.

Let me start off with the obligatory reaction GIF towards the VIP screenwriter:

What I wish for is not for YR to have the satisfaction of ending the relationship. I want her to realise SJ had never loved her. Yet on the other hand, I don't want her to get another man's love so easily. So no, I don't hope for her to end up with the TG Group chaebol but I think that's where the ending would lead to, because the writer has always tried to paint YR as someone pure and in need of love. Which further irritated me.

what kind of ending is that??? why things happen so good and easy for Yuri. She is the start of the problem and THE TRASH was not even hot DUMPED!!!! WTH?? Now it is proven that the writer is indeed more bias towards Yuri.

First, sorry for cutting parts of your post @madinked :sweatingbullets:

Whoever said that this screenwriter is NOT biased towards YR...

Talk about rewarding for bad behavior...:unamused:

EDIT: As I said yesterday, YR losing SJ is not punishment enough. And judging by the recaps and others' reactions, YR doesn't seem that "conflicted" with her loss of SJ other than shedding her usual crocodile tears (because the screenwriter is ABSOLUTELY certain that we the audience are begging to see those scenes...<_<).

Where's the comeuppance for YR nearly sabotaging JS and the VIP team other than her dismissal from the company? Why didn't she apologize to JS, HA, MN, SW, BH and JY? Oh that's right..according to the writer, poor destitute Cinderella YR is entitled to be that unapologetic towards the coworkers who actually vouched for her despite having the "VP's mistress" rumors and no work qualifications/background.:triumph:

Slightly off topic, but FYI, don't K-drama series (not so sure about dramas in U.S. or other countries) usually give the make-overs to main female protagonists halfway into the show? Did this writer think that the main FL is YR, not JS? If any female character should be the second FL, it's definitely HA (played flawlessly by Lee Chungah but sadly underutilized by the screenwriter/director in recent episodes) or MN (poignantly portrayed by Kwak Sunyoung, even with those "SJ's mistress" red herrings and almost flipping-tables moments of MN contemplating betrayal to the VIP team out of desperation towards her unexpected pregnancy and lack of job promotion).
