Did anyone watch the Alhambra show? I did not; there were a lot of peed off people who loved the show but intensely disliked the ending.

So a good show can have a crappy ending but not the other way round.

While I think in real life, it is best to let go of hate and rancour, it does not happen overnight.  In this show, SJ had made his choice. He had months to make up his mind whereas JS only knew of his adultery for a few weeks. Having to accept that the man you trust and love has been cheating on you, rejects you and continues to work in the same place with his mistress in the same room??? This show is cruel.

Listen everyone, we should be ready for SJ to choose loyalty to his new family and to fall together with them, it will be some sort of bitter victory for us in JS camp. The scummy people lose money and status but they have each other.

Are they going to make a tame JS? I hope she took her biker friend's advice Go till the end.

Make them pay, then regret and heal herself.:D

Actually a good or bad ending is subjective. Some endings is better left open ended than make a forced 'out of place' happy ending. Some open endings need extra thinking to why they chose to end it that way. Some open ending are too open that there is a possibility of season 2.

As for Alhambra, i don't think the ending is bad. To me it's acceptable. What happened to the character has been verbally said in the voiceover, people find it bad because the OTP is not together at the end (as they are in different realm).

As for SJ-JS, based on the plot is going now. I prefer it's open ending or they get closures for themselves and go separate ways. IDK it to be a forced happy ending like JS can forgive SJ when she learned the truth or she forgive him just because he was there when she was in hospital. SJ need to redeemed himself big time for what he has done from Ep 8. I also do not want time jump and thinks were told settled in 10 minutes fast forward.

i want to see SJ learned the circumstanced for what he had done and of course I want YR to be doomed. Seriously idk how the writer gonna wrap up in 2 episodes. I have a feeling the scene where JS fall the stairs will be at the end of episode. So we only have 60 minutes to conclude everything. To make a happy ending of SJ-JS to me is impossible at this rate.

I have yet to see part 2 of any drama to be better than the first and thank goodness KDramas do not make it s habit. Unless it is a fantasy Harry Potter, Star Wars .... those I love.

There has to be a clear cut resolution or more to the major conflicts, open ended or no. Are we going to get the VP sending a text to SJ to pay off another woman? Or YR pregnant and preparing dinner for her husband but we cannot see his face? JS and SW getting ready to go out but we don't know if they are going out together?

So many possibilities.  No these are no good.

I am very sure JS and SJ will divorce.   A good ending would be something good that don't always happen in real life.
SJ and VP are caught and sent off to prison for embezzling ( courtesy of Bae), YR turns out to be the daughter of the chauffer and gets kicked out of the expensive apartment, JS meets one of those in our wishlist at another company and the other staff get to live happily ever after. That would make me happy.

What a sad title :dissapointed_relieved: Not hoping for a happy ending...

I quite like the ambiguity of the title. Could JS ever have loved SJ knowing what he was really like, he knew that all along, and did he ever love her enough to trust her. YR seems to like him for himself, knowing the true him but is that enough now she he Ha YR, and has he ever really loved her?

I am so looking forward to this scene! Can't believe the series ends tomorrow! But at the same time, I feel fear for Na Jung Sun! :( I really hope the writer provide justice with Jang Nara's character! She doesn't deserve pain!

There’ll be no happy ending in the traditional sense guys. It’d be disservice to JS and the audience if she went back to SJ at this point. I still believe he loves his his wife as I’ve stated a million times but there’s no coming back from the hurt and dishonesty he’s build his marriage on. In a lot of ways, I think he’s already accepted that and the only thing that remains now is the battle between his greed and his decency. Will he throw his former team and ex-wife under the bus?

As for JS, they’ll probably conclude with her coming to terms with the man she’s married was someone else all along. That’s the end of the road for her- rediscovering her marriage and the man she’s loved. As the ahjussi said to her, she’ll finally come to terms with the ending of her marriage and she’ll move on with her life. And that’s ok.

This drama had me hooked. I’ve seriously gone back and forth between adoration and hate. There were some scenes that really tested my patience and in some ways my sanity lol. There some things I wish they’d dived deeper into, I still think there’re some holes in the story but that’s ok. I’m sure most women who got cheated on don’t get the answers they need and deserve.  But I think all in all, it was really well written drama. I’m looking forward to the end.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it earlier but I’m sooo happy that I’ve discovered this forum. It’s been super fun to read all of your insightful inputs! Merry Christmas everyone!

So we gonna have our ending this week...

My happy ending wud be:

1. JS credibility at work are recognised by others, that she excell without playing dirty, together with her own team being known as an excellent team, respected by everyone

2. JS never look back at SJ again meet another man, preferably an honest & hardworking chaebol & they have kids & make a happy family

3. SJ dismiss from his job following the exposed VP’s dirty laundry, years later struggling to move forward in other company regretting over losing JS ,  becomes an alcoholic

4. It was proven YR isnt VP’s biological daughter and was sack by the grandfather, left by SJ, not accepted by his mother...better still he marries her but his life is more miserable than when he was with JS

That wud be ending I’m happy with, tho I doubt it’s gonna happens that way...

Jang Nara And Pyo Ye Jin Engage In War Of Nerves To Fight For What They Want In “VIP”

Dec 23, 2019
by L. Kim

Jang Nara and Pyo Ye Jin will be sharpening their claws for the upcoming battle of pride and love in “VIP”!

Spoiler

In the SBS drama, Jang Nara plays Na Jung Sun, the wife of Park Sung Joon (Lee Sang Yoon), while Pyo Ye Jin plays Ha Yoo Ri, Park Sung Joon’s “other woman.” In the beginning, the two had a warm co-worker relationship, but after it was revealed that Ha Yoo Ri was the one involved in the “private scandal” with Park Sung Joon, they are now at odd’s end.

In the previous episode, Na Jung Sun learned from Lee Myung Eun (Jeon Hye Jin) that Park Sung Joon is managing the vice-president’s (Park Sung Keun) women while handling and possessing the shares under borrowed names. Na Jung Sun was given the offer to cause the downfall of the vice-president, Park Sung Joon, and Ha Yoo Ri with the information. The viewers are wondering what decision she will make and how she will stage her plan of revenge.

On December 23, the drama released new stills of Na Jung Sun and Ha Yoo Ri. In the photos, Na Jung Sun is taking a break from work when Ha Yoo Ri abruptly enters the room and demands her to divorce Park Sung Joon. Ha Yoo Ri provokes her without any hesitation, and Na Jung Sun coldly stares at her in response.

This confrontational scene was filmed at a hotel located in central Incheon in October. With only one day left of the last filming, Pyo Ye Jin stuck to Jang Nara’s side as soon as she arrived on the set. Since then, the two actresses showed off their sisterly chemistry by holding hands and showcasing their cute charms. However, once filming started, they transformed into their respective characters and treated each other with loathing and tension.

The production crew shared, “The episode airing on December 23 will feature an eye-catching Black Society event as well as the essence of ‘private office melodrama.’ The actors will deliver a story of tension with their best teamwork. Please watch until the end.”

The final episodes of “VIP” will air on December 23 and 24 at 10 p.m. KST.

I had that same feeling about the fall being at the end of episode 15. :tears: I also agree that leaving only 60 minutes to wrap this up with an acceptable ending is darn near impossible. I ended another drama last night and the solution was in the last 10 minutes and had a one year later scene.:( Please VIP writers don’t do this to us!

With that said, I “enjoyed” (and I know that’s not the correct word) this series because the suspense kept me coming back. We were warned! My emotions (and blood pressure) were all over the place. I said I would not rewatch this drama, but I don’t know how many times I have gone back and forth between previous episodes trying to find clues or something that I have missed.

At the beginning of the drama, I was definitely in the JS and SJ as a couple camp. Now, at the end I want JS (and myself) to find out why SJ did what he did, to find out who he really loves, and to have an acceptable closure to the story that does not include SJ and “that girl” being together.

Thank you to all who took part in my “therapy group”. I would probably be in the hospital right now (or my husband might have put me in a padded closet) if I had not had this outlet. We didn’t always agree, but seeing the story through someone else’s eyes did give me a different perspective. The various plots that some “Soompiers” developed were amazing and maybe better than the ending we get.

I wish everyone a “Very, Merry Christmas “ and a “Happy New Year”. Here’s hoping we meet again!

I just missed out he entire first half of tonight! My usual live stream didn't work! So had to find another stream...

Spoiler

The ep 29 ended with Sung Jun's mom apologizing Jung Sun! She cried & begged! But Jung Sun told her that everything between her & that man is over!

Ep 30 continues with Mother & Jung Sun & then the scene switch to the stair case environment! Jung Sun tells Sung Jun that she has something to tell him & let's talk later! Yu Ri overhears them & hurry to Sung Jun & says caterin is ready & once the event is over, let's grab some dinner!

The scenes go on... (internet connection is very bad).. The Yu Ri meets up with a guy & srry, I don't know him! he says that Yu Ri seems different from other women so he would like to talk with her! Then he takes her to his younger siblings!

Then Yu Ri sees Jung Sun climb up the stairs & then the argue scene I uploaded above is happening! Jung Sun then walks down the stairs & Sees Sung Jun down there... She slowly walks away! Sung Jun goes up the stair & meet Yu Ri there.. She sounds threatening him...

And Jung Sun, Sung Jun & others go to the conference room & Yu Ri goes to the opposite direction...

Then the epic scene.. Yu Ri has nothing to do with pushing Jung Sun down the stairs!  There was a drunk VIP male member & Sang Woo tried to control him.. Then Jung Sun hurried back to them & the drunk guy tried to harrass her! Sang Woo fought back but he was hit by him... Then Jung Sun tried to save Sang Woo but she was pushed down the stairs by the drunk male! Everyone is shocked including Yu Ri... Sung Jun yelled at Sang Woo that what happened? And Jung Sun was taken to the hospital..

Then Yu Ri cried at her apartment! I dunno if it's because Jung Sun's accident or her dinner plan with Sung Jun got ruined because of Jung Sun! And he is with Jung Sun at the hospital!

Then the next morning, Jung Sun is awake! Sung Jun comes in & asks if she's ok! She plainly says OK! And then she says, "Sung Jun sshi, let's get this over with!" :o I've never heard her calling him sshi... The ep ends!

In the preview we see sadden Sung Jun more.. I dunno what's this series is heading to! :(
